Good morning guys, hope you guys had an amazing night rest?

So today, I’ll be talking about y room in La Passage Hotels and Casino where I and other travelers were lodged for the night.

As I said earlier, the hotel is really a 5-star rated hotel and one of the best in Cairo, Egypt!

Also, you know I got to my room so late and After being that tired, I found it difficult to sleep. So I prepared myself a warm bath!

Ladies and gentlemen, it was heavenly! grin I really pampered myself! Lol

The next morning, I got up pretty early because I have heard stories of travelers missing their connecting flight. Mine was for 9:35am and there were just 2 of us from Nigerian going to Berlin. So I rushed to the restaurant for breakfast and joined the hotel bus to the airport!

In my next update, I’ll share my experience on the flight from Cairo to Berlin. I really didn’t think it lived up to my expectations. Stay tuned abeg!

Let me leave you with pictures! smiley

@OP

1. Did Egypt Airline ask you to hold $1,000 since you are on one way ticket. I heard Egypt Airline always ask Nigerians on ONE WAY ticket to hold $1000 should there be any issue of deportation which they will use to fly the deportee back to Nigeria, but if not you go with your $1000.

2. How much dud you book your flight from Lagos to Berlin?

3. How many days from your booking date till date of departure?

Thanks.

Hello,

1. There was absolutely nothing like that!

2.

3. I booked on Monday and traveled on Friday!

Hello guys, I am sorry for the delayed updates. Trying to settle in my accommodation and carry out all of my registration.

So back to our gist...grin

As you know, my flight with Egyptair was very good! Everything was as I imagined, until... cry

Until we touched down in Cairo, Egypt. We arrived around 9:45pm on Friday 20th and we were told to head to a counter, so as to be conveyed to the hotel the airline had provided for travelers with longer layover duration.

People of God, I didn’t get to my room till after midnight! embarassed cry

The delay was caused by trying to sort out accommodation to travelers to different destinations. The officials were doing their best, but in my opinion, it wasn’t good enough. Imagine having to wait at he airport for over 3 hours just to get checked in.

It was terrible!

I got to to the hotel and had dinner around 12:30am of the 21st. Truth be told, the hotel, La Passage Hotels and Casino was a beauty to behold! A 5-star hotel as promised by Egyptair.

The dinner itself was of a buffet arrangement but I was too tired to really check out all of the dishes. But I bet they were nice.

I got into the room at about 1am and prepared myself a hot bath In the bathtub! It was worth it mehn!

Let me leave you guys with pictures!

Hi guys, happy new week! grin I pray it’s filled with joy and good tidings for you and yours! smiley

Food is essential for everyone! And for someone like me with a very sensitive stomach, the choice of food on a flight is very important. And this was my major concern as I chose Egyptair to fly me from Lagos to Berlin! To be honest, What was going to go into my stomach was the major concern I had! No one wants to be stooling all through the flight! Lol!

People of God, I was impressed with the food ooo! And I was not poo poo-ing upandan! cheesy

For my flight from Lagosn to Cairo, I have Rice and Chicken, Orange Juice, water, coffee, bread and chocolate cake for desert! The rice wasn’t as spicy as I’d want but it was nice! I’ll rate the meal 7/10.

Whew!!! I ate plenty o! Except for the cucumber and fruits we were offered. The cabin crew members were so courteous and patient as they served the passengers. A bit slow but they were good! I’ll rate their service 8/10.

Guys, let me leave you with pictures! Don’t salivate much! Just book Egyptair whenever next you’re going to the middle east, or parts of Europe! grin

Another 20 likes and I drop the next update!

people can be funny sometimes...what's your business with Charging port? You done use the one you have in your house finish.

Hello BiggerbossAmani,

He asked a legit question actually. This is because on the over 6 hour flight, you would need to charge your phone or play your own music from a device.

Thank you.

In between movies, I checked out the music section and just 2 caught my eyes!

An album I grew up listening to, Falling In Love by Celine Dion! I love all the songs on that album! I closed my eyes as I listen to this album...twice! grin Thank you Egyptair!

After that, I got the biggest surprise of the night! shocked The Homecoming Album! grin

Beyoncé’s Coachella performance was on the list! I don’t have words to describe this feeling! It was out of the world listening to songs she performed live on the Coachella stage!

Thank you once again Egyptair! You made me enjoy my flight!

Guys, I’ll be talking about food next o! If you want to know what food on the Egyptair flight was like, let’s get 20 likes and 10 comments on this post! grin

I really like video games!

So it was only natural that the first thing I checked was the gaming options! I was quite impressed with the games! It wasn’t top notch, but enough to keep you occupied!

I got bored after 15 minutes though!

Guys, I’m back! grin

Firstly, I sincerely apologize for not providing updates this past couple of days. I’ve been so overwhelmed with preparation.

To make up for that, I’ll be providing updates from my time at the International Airport in Lagos all through to the hotel we were lodged in Cairo, Egypt.

My flight yesterday was for 2:45pm hut I made sure to get to the airport before 11pm. Checking-in and getting through the searched really went well!! Except for the fact that my St Ives body cream that was confiscated because it was prohibited in my hand luggage. E pain me sha.

Got into the plane and headed to my reserved window seat. I did that by logging into the Egyptair website to check in 24 hours before departure.

See ehn, let’s leave story for now, let me drop pictures!grin

Baba Congratulations and happy prepping. Nice thread.
If u dont mind, can you just list some of the things you shopped for.
Me too na DE prospective, waiting for Angela Markel to show face.
And how much did EgyptAir charge to Berlin and was there any form of discount for students?

Hello Uzee24,

Congratulations on getting to the last stage of this waka o! God will make everything work out! The wait for AM ehn, no be small thing. Lol!

Lagos to Berlin is between 155k-242k, depending on your travel date. Also, the fare has been discounted already. But the official who attended to me confirmed that the airline is working on a specific discount for students. Probably from next semester.

I will post a list of basic stuffs to go with later today. Just check back later in the day, please!

Thank you and all the best. smiley
