I'm terrible at negotiating for myself. Maybe this comes from always putting others ahead of me even to my detriment sometimes.

How do I approach negotiation for improved renumeration when my employer is not based in the country. It's a small company of less than 10 staffs.

While the pay is not great and inflation has made it worthless, My boss has said there will be a salary review for everyone and has been giving us a transportation/hardship support I heard (not from him directly) that the support will continue until promised review is done. Should I wait for him or try to put him under pressure? I fear He's planning to delay until January.

He has actually reviewed salaries at his own pace since I joined and I have never discussed better renumeration with him. There's a lot I could say to explain this better but part of my challenge is that I don't really know what to do to really improve my salary as I'm just at the mercy of the company.

I have another offer which I'm very likely to turn down even though it's better than what I earn currently. This is because it involves relocating, the difference isn't significant enough for me and it's in a more expensive location.

Right now I'm not even sure I know what my question is but you can still advise me all the same.

P.S. Boss can be overbearing and expects you to work and respond to emails 24/7.

As it stands now, you can only survive on what you have at hand....


These days, we don't work on budget anymore.... If you budget for 100k for a month z you might end up spending 300k for a month because of T-Pain and his government.

Hmmm..... I get your point and it's very valid. But the focus here is more of how much can one be earning to stop being under the pressure of escaping poverty and to self impose the pressure of building wealth.

I know this will vary from family size to location, transportation etc hence the simplification to what a single man/woman can view as a minimum income.

Inflation is currently ridiculous in Nigeria right now with high cost of living not helping.

What's the minimum income you think someone can survive on and build up from. Like single, living in a room and parlour self contain, feeding and all.

no the task force at alaba are kind of effective and the traders there fear the task force alot coz they have the power to chase any one out of alaba. Try them and see because I remember that year i fell Victim the task force got so angry and the guy that duped me ran away. The task im my present had about 4boys tied to the ground that they were waiting fro the police to come and take them away. Try the task force at least half ur money will fall out.

If Yes, you will be proficient enough.

Power BI is only for Visualization so your work will be within data analysis.

If you have no prior knowledge in analysis, I advise you to learn Excel and SQL. With this, you can clean your data before importing into Power BI. When you get to power BI, Learn DAX functions. It's very important

I meant weekly though. Like averaging 2hours daily.

My work days can get stretched often.

I do know some excel and would be happy to learn more if it helps but I have never worked with SQL before.

Which course do you recommend in Power BI. My goal is to achieve proficiency and skill to be able to be able to freelance with this.

Job opportunities include data analyst,data engineer, data scientist.
You can achieve data visualizing a d interpretation and data sorting, warehousing etc with it

Currently, FMMG /manufacturing companies, businesses and other companies are increasing their job need for business intelligence analyst, data analyst and data scientist
