nairalanda1: I have always blamed corruption. But you allow your preconceived perceptions and strawman thinking to not see that.
Anyway, the budget for this country is dependent on oil revenue. Tax is low because most of us are workers in the informal sector.
As a result we can't have a good life.
Corruption worsens the matter. Nope.. u never blamed corruption..till i chased u out of your coven! Your stand was that We are engaged in frivolities while the world move on because citizens don't pay their taxes |

nairalanda1: One can believe what I believe and also believe that the corper was right ..
And one reason why we have shitty service for corpers and the city of lagos is....poor income from tax.
Corruption makes the matter worse.
And oil money cannot sustain a nation of 20 million.
That's part of the reason why we borrow so much. Oh corruption? That's a brand new brain wave there..from u. Initially I was already blaming poor hapless Nigerians ..prodded by your initial stance of a blameless ruling class ..but with lazy and taxless citizens |

You want what the developed world has, you got to pay the price they pay.

Jakumo: An attack on farmers in ANY part of Nigeria is an attack on the food supply for ALL of Nigeria. The developing pattern of abductions targeting farmers engaged in both small and industrialized agriculture, is occurring ALL OVER Nigeria, and is therefore NOT a cause for tribalistic hateful jubilation regardless of where farming operations were disrupted. City dwellers worldwide tend to remain wilfully ignorant of the fact that ALL the food they buy in supermarkets originates on farms, and that food prices will skyrocket if any organized disruption of agriculture occurs.
Many of those who participate in topics of discussion on the subject of kidnapping and insecurity, are only interested in finding out which geographical region of Nigeria suffered the latest attack. Once the location of the crime is known, the dull and repetitive mockery begins from those who wrongly presume that their own families might be safe from similar terrorist onslaughts simply because they happen to live a few hours by road from the scene of the latest killings or kidnappings.
That narrow-minded, tribalistic, hateful and pathetically ignorant way of thinking further depletes the vestigial intellect of those who choose to remain backward for life. All these grammar just to avoid calling out criminal herdsmen Na wa o |
