LordReed:
79% of shootings done in schools in the US are by white males yet we are to believe blacks are ultra violent and always belligerent.

Hold on though we have to be careful with statistics. Black on black violence stats: " a statistic from a 2010 Bureau of Justice Statistics report which did, indeed, conclude that 93 percent of black homicide victims from 1980 through 2008 were killed by black offenders".

I watched the video some weeks ago, and it sickened me to the stomach. That chokehold has been banned a long time ago, and the officer still used it despite Eric shouting "I can't breathe" multiple times. Smh! The guy would not release the hold even when another cop tried to remove his hands.
He was trying to separate a fight on the street,He wasn't violent, he didn't restrict arrest, 4-5 police can't arrest 1 man gently without force. They're just cowards. cry
RIP Eric, I pray God grant your family the fortitude to bear the loss. #I can't breathe #HandsUpDon'tShoot #NoJusticeNoPeace #NoRacistPolice #

Hey you know there are arguments that the chockhold is banned by NYPD but not banned by the STATE!! Another argument is that the evidence provided in the jury was not available publicly that's why we make these judgments. I'd rather step back and here more about the arguments brought to the jury than to jump on the public bandwagon. The system is broken but we need to be careful what arguments we bring froward.

Hi guys, due to what's going on in our world at the moment, I think it's hightime we started loving each other. I had an encounter with racist people some weeks ago..

My flatmate (a Nigerian) and I went to the mall about some weeks ago to get our winter clothings and all, after we got all paid, we went to the bus-stand to wait for the bus - we got to the stand and met a Canadian man probably in his mid to late forties waiting for the bus too, I said "Hello, how you doing today? Nice weather, isn't it?" The man just bone face, he didn't even answer, my flatmate looked at me and we just acted like it didn't happen.

What he did next was something that irritated me. Immediately he packed his bags and went to the stand opposite us to meet a Canadian woman sitting down too, we didn't give 2 hoots until they started saying some things we couldn't hear, laughing uncontrollably and pointing fingers right at us. My mate got infuriated and wanted to confront them I calmed him down, that they were just ignorant. Few minutes later, the bus came they got on the bus, me and my mate intentionally sat next to them, lo and behold they stood up and went way back to the end of the bus. I was just shaking my head!

For real, racism has got to stop. You have different wardrobes of many colours, can't God have humans with different colours too?

Tho, I've met so many respectful, kind, nice people here. When I told my female bestfriend who is a Canadian too, she asked me to describe them, that she wants to kick their a'ss, I just told her not to worry. I really wish racism could end for good. We have to learn to live and tolerate each other, irrespective of race, religion etc..

Man I feel you, there is subtly racism everywhere!! heres the truth:

Racism won't stop until blacks are humiliated publicly for doing nothing wrong:

look at the approach taken by MLK and the civil rights group with the birmingham protest, the black protesters took a stand in a non peaceful manner yet they were firehosed and beaten by police dogs. The result was a worldwide drastic change in perception and deep compasion towards the protesters as they saw that they were unfairly treated.

Unfortunately, sometimes it takes such injustice and bullying to be shown on a public level for a racist mindset to begin to melt away.

Racism won't stop until:
The world witnesses public humiliation of peaceful non-violent blacks.

Travel / Re: Nigerian Students In The Uk How Do You Survive? by Mijuk(m): 12:32pm On Aug 13, 2014
3sha4lyf:

Please don't say that to scare people from coming to the uk to study if they are not "young single people".
First of all you need to find our how old the kids are and if they are a bit grown, then you should be suggesting schools for them. Most people who come along with their kids here come planning that their kids will study while they study. It's only ideal.
Sometimes we know the truth is better but it's best when it's said in a subtle manner that it doesn't kill who hears it.

Check with your uni... they usually have accomodation for families. I would have suggested sites like zoopla, rightmove, flatshare, etc. You can start from there. Hope this helps.

Yup I agree with you 3sha4lyf, it will take a lot of research though but look around you will definitely find options. I will put up a link if I find any suitable accommodation cos I know of someone who had similar issue and sorted it out fine. grin
