After my checks, i have narrowed my mind to get one of these two: Redmi Pro or Note 4x,( even if I understand Mi note 2 is the classiest, most expensive somehow) for the guys that are using the devices, i need a practical suggestion on the one to buy....pls. thanks

I'm using redmi pro but i will not recommend it for you. It doesn't have global rom.

Using redmi pro but opted for it coz of the OLED screen. Apart from that no other advantage over note 4x as there is no global rom for redmi pro

It seems that "appeal" has become necessary now. How do I go about it?

All my attempts to purchase $10, $20 and $50 this evening were unsuccessful though I have cancelled all of them.

I need information on the procedure in case it reoccurs tomorrow.

Read thru the faq extract below first. Then ask questions on whatever is not clear.

Funding AliExpress Pocket
Download the app, create an account.
On the My Account tab on the app you'll see My AliExpress Pocket, click on it and fund your AliExpress Pocket with about $100 (if $100 doesn't work at once then select it in multiples eg $20 * 5 or $50 * 2)
Search for the device you want to buy select buy now, you'll see an option to use your AliExpress Pocket, tick it.
Then use your other ATM to complete the transaction.

About Appeals:
You don't have to appeal before you fund your AliExpress Pocket.

Sometimes people are told to appeal for security reasons, to verify you're the owner/handler of the card, mostly when you use a card that isn't in your name to fund the pocket.
In that case you'll be told to upload a picture of the ATM card(you can block out some numbers for security purposes), identification (eg passport, voters card, birth certificate [don't know if they still collect these], or international passport), and a recent bank statement of the account you were told to appeal.

After 3-5 business days the details will be verified and you can use that card (that doesn't bear your name) to fund your pocket in the future without hassles.

Item is pre-advised
If you ship via NL Post when tracking the first stage is "item is pre-advised" and it can stay that way for up to 2 weeks, you contact NL Post and they say they haven't got your item.
Do not panic, you most likely haven't been scammed or given a fake tracking number.
What pre-advised means is that the seller has contacted Netherlands Post and have advised them that a parcel is coming their way, that they should expect to receive it. The parcel will then be processed by their sorting centre, pass the checks and then finally be dispatched to the destination country.
Your package will go from China to the Netherlands first before it is ultimately shipped to Nigeria.
Even though the pre-advised stage can be long and frustrating, it doesn't usually last for more than 15 days and when it does get to the Netherlands the shipping is quicker and your item should reach you by the next week!


About Collection:
The package will be delivered to the nearest post office and you'll be notified by the post office (either by call or text, or they'll bring a slip to your house) that you have an item waiting for collection at the post office.
You might be charged a ₦500 "handling fee" upon collection of the item.

Just cancel that order awaiting payment. Nothing will happen. Try and fund alipocket with another card to see if it will enter appeal.

i am so happy right now, i just switched on my phone this afternoonand i didnt see the mi account stuff there, so i just continued to set up,after set up it just showed me "my device is lost" activate this device, so i had to put my password and ..it activated, i guess it was when i turned off find device from mi account, but it didnt quickly activate.But my imei and meid is lost actually, pls share the link u used to do urs mike234

Exactly what happened to me when i flashed my redmi pro. Its obvious you've lost the imei and meid. You need to skip signing on to your mi account so you can get to the home screen and use the fone coz the fone will still make and receive call without the imei but you will never be able to sign on to ur mi acct coz u've lost your meid. To solve the nvram issue you will have to unlock the bootloader, root ur fone and then replace some files on your fone's root folder. From there you can now restore your imei. I spent almost the whole day doing this because you have to be very patient. Don't worry yourself too much coz the issue with your phone has a permanent solution. Relax!

Dial *#06#. You are supposed to se the MEID and two different IMEI. If the meid is missing then thats the cause.

Got my redmi pro from post office today and the experience has been good. The AMOLED screen is fair enough and the build is top notch. The battery drains faster than i expected but overall experience, I'll give it 70%. Thats just the result after a day test. Will surely come back for a better review after 1 week.

You weren't charged twice. Check your balance again to confirm that. Do not depend on the balance on the alert you got.

Let me thank you again rookidmart for ur assistance then. But on this appeal matter, i used 4 different cards for my purchase and i wasnt told to appeal. Half of the 8 items i bought have been pre-advised to shipping coy. What do u think is the criteria for asking buyer to appeal?

Ok, no need to panic, it's India only. They are not permitted to sell mtk phones in India afterall, and the post saying they experimented with the redmi pro doesn't mean that they are discontinuing the phone or stopping support for it.

Thanks bro. Been able to complete my order. I cancelled the previous one and was able to order for another one. The issue now is that the fone (redmi pro) has been discontinued and i have already paid. What do you think i should do here.

Initialize is also a member here and he sells xiaomi phones. Got my redmi 3 pro from him last year and the phone is still serving me very well till now.
