I like this point but you didnt fully understand the OP....i think there are big scale enterprise that can be seen as self employment and not enterpreneurship just like the CONCORD NEWSPAPER he mentioned.....Bottom line is if the CEO takes all decisions himself, then its self employment, but if he have a board who help him take decisions/idea and know the exact vision of the firm/establishment, then its enterpreneurship.

@ Mario. you are right but simply put concord newspaper is a corporate org but not a sole prop.

Well said but I think you are only trying to differentiate between a sole proprietorship and a corporate organisation (Limited liability company). Self employment and entrepreneurship both fall under sole prop. but all your explanation about entrepreneurship is just that of a limited liability coy.

Although your points are clear but you definition of an entrepreneur is what I do not agree with.

You can still school me further if you think I'm wrong.

Bruv there are two options... You can decide not to cancel it .... and go ahead.. but make sure you meet a lawyer that can do Letter of agreement indicating such deposit of funds... You do know there are limit to how much can be said in public forum. You can proceed with the application but you will needed to be guided properly and i will say get that letter . A good lawyer will know what i am talking about.

I just got my passport with 6months multiple entry visa to the UK.

I submitted my statement of account but ended the printing just before the day i made the huge deposit so i didn't have any course to explain the deposit.
I also submitted my fixed deposit certificate of over 4m.

Timeline.

Biometric capture on 3/05/2016
Received at UKVI on 9/05/2016
Visa issued on 17/5/16
Received documents via courier 19/5/16.

Someone that is ready for a monthly salary of 300k per month...

Thanks frontpagelawyer. The fund in the account has been there for over a year. its actually a fixed deposit that drops into the account every month and rolled over with the interest.

What do u think. can I go ahead with this explanation?

Also can I just print the statement to the day before the lodgement.

But i have another account with over 4m which i intend to print the statement along with the former (The former is my salary account).

Appointment is the easiest to cancel.... Well to be honest that lump sum deposit is a big FLAG!!!! except you have a big way to explain... or maybe in the history of your account you have had a large lump sum deposited often..

As for me... I will advice to cancel the appointment and prepare properly. But some people might say otherwise but this people reason directly they dont think otherwise so immediately they will think it is because of your traveling you deposit that.


If you intend to go ahead with the application, then you will need a lawyer... to come up with something showing you and your friend are into such business that is as much as i can say.... Hopefully the lawyer will understand what i just stated.

Hello all,

I will be travelling to the Uk very soon and applied for visa last week but need get some things clear.

I have already applied and scheduled an appointment for next week but after going thru this forum i realized i goofed by paying a huge deposit into my acct last week. The deposit is actually from a contribution i am making with my colleagues at work and it was my turn to collect last week so i got the money in cash then deposited it into my savings acct before moving it to my current account last week.

My monthly contribution appears in my account statement as it is a regular monthly payment that goes out of the account as soon as my salary is paid.

I have already fixed the money in time deposit leaving about 200,000 naira in the current account.

My questions:

-Can this affect my chance of being issued visa
-Is it possible to cancel the appointment and re-apply maybe later so it won't look like i decided to inflate my account because of the visa.

You advice would be highly appreciated.

No matter the amount of sense in his tweet I still believe he is criticizing himself. Instead of talking to the people in the house of senate and coming up with bills to better the lives of the teachers he is here ranting against the govt as if he is not part of the govt.
