I was reading the comments on this forum from recent travelers on how calm the border have been ....to my surprise..it was opposite.. even the guys on my left and right where been drilled hard. Both where nigerians ..one lost his temper and started raising his voice..
Funny..I never saw those guy again even though I spent almost an extra 30min looking for a cab...I hope they where not sent back.

If it's not a family visit I suggest you reschedule your trip. Please note that the above is my personal opinion and not the government policy directive.
No it is not a family visit, I have no family in London so hotel reservation it is then, the sad part of it is the visa will be expiring soon and I really want to disvirgin the passport, but you are right the current circumstances are not favourable ...the funny thing is flights are still going , very confusing....oh well

Ask on the student thread or go to their lagos office
Update. According to several accounts, Virgin atlantic does not require it
I went to the airport yesterday..arrived at their counter by 11 but it was closed already so I could not ask directly but I meet some lady there who I suspect to be an office assistant and she said no need for covid test....

What kind of family friend is making you bring foodstuff worth 23kg? A whole luggage of foodstuff.
Better dnt go and get in trouble incase u get delayed and ur luggage searched. U will explain if you are only visitin for a few days or your brought foodstuff to last you for sometime as you want to overstay your visa.

As for the change in address, it depends on the discretion of the border officer.

Some ask, some don’t ask but if it’s your 1st time you better be careful.
If you hve to use this ‘family friend’ that just popped up get your story right as to how they just popped up.
Dnt go to POE with fabrications.

There are hotels that you can cancel upto few hours before the flight or last last you forfeit one night hotel pay than getting urself into trouble.
Thank you very much I guess I will have to turn down the offer to assist with food stuff.
Please you never replied the covid test part
Do virgin atlantic require a covid 19 test ?
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Mikey89: 12:11am On Dec 10, 2020
Good morning gurus in the house, please I booked a flight for virgin atlantic in two weeks and I have the follow questions
1. Is covid test needed
2. Must hotel reservations be paid for before departure to avoid issues at the point of entry
3. While filling my application for the visa I claimed to not know anyone in the uk which is true because I planned staying in a hotel until recently a family member popped up and asked if I could bring food stuff for her, will this food stuff cause a problem for me since what I filled is staying in a hotel and not knowing anyone ..ps the food stuff are actually much and could fill a whole 23kg bag
....
Thanks for the good work you do here .. God bless you all.
