PRINCESSFCFANSs: With all this fine, here and there and all the money made in all sectors of the country ,
why is the country economic situations keep increasing ?
what we don't like about this e-banking like monie point, opay and co is that ,customers are at risk ,with no where visible to report or complain to ,if anything goes wrong with their account , and their online customer care is always out of services ,
Nigerians are seriously at risk with such banking methods ,
Princess FaithChukwu Opay has physical offices. 23 states in Nigeria currently. |

BreconHills: While I am reasonably sure the reasons behind these actions are correct ( if the facts here are to be believed) I am wary of accepting anything as 100% true until there is controvertible evidence that one can weight against.
Truth is Education like anything should have a powerful self regulating organization with sufficient power to take such decisions without involving a government with a political/ economic mandate.
"But" No 1
He who pays the piper plays the tune. Until Nigerian universities are self funded, any idea of independence ( excluding qualifying and standards criteria) cannot happen. In the US stuff that happens in the university is controlled by its internal structure but also by its funding source- alumni and corporate and third party individual endowment contributors. These are people with deep personal interests in the prestige, national importance and brand history of the university.
"But" No 2
Nigerians want cheap fees for public services. They regard this as part of their rights as citizens - part of the national cake if you will. Yet they also want high standards of governance, consumer protection. This equation can never work. Cheap fees mean poor services and high politics. It allows the lowest standard of people into governance because highly qualified want a return on their time and effort.
These are all things that should have been solved in the good old days of the 60-70s when Nigeria was running trade surplus and had a high revenue to population ratio. The government would have had more options in freeing itself from over involvement, time and focus on issues like this. Government would have been smaller and more nimble and innovative.
Nigerians must understand that if they don't change the mentality of social entitlement and " let change begin after I have done my own" we will continue to have sub optimal government and a brain drain that will continue until the "last person to leave Nigeria turn off the lights" thing. We do not have an inexhaustible supply of human and intellectual capital.
The FGN must create valid pathways to success outside of university by re qualifying vocational education along the old city and guilds methodology. With the highest certification counting as credits towards university education and even a final degree. The UK, Germany etc have working models for this - lets reach out to them. Jamb population must be reduced, universities must charge realistic fees and change their revenue/endowment mix. Without this education will die a slow and painful death at great cost to the national economy. Good morning. Where's your knowledge coming from? Bless. |

Every organization that goes through a corporate reorganisation and be in no doubt the FGN will insist on changes within the airline. FGN will take equity. It will insist that it's equity no matter how small contains a golden share element that irrespective of its minority status ensures that the new airline cannot take certain decisions without its consent.
Of course the name Air Peace will go and the hostess uniforms will change. Naming rights for each aircraft will be reserved for the FGN.
Do you honestly believe that an entrepreneur who set up his airline from scratch will be jumping for joy at these changes simply because he wants to land at Heathrow when he can simply sign an interliner agreement with the new Nigeria Airways and achieve same effect. After all Virgin and BA have two airports in Nigeria.
It's easy to post short pithy comments regarding complex transactions and then defend them to to the death.
I am 100% sure Onyeama does not want Heathrow at this price. For what?

On your opay app there's where to report such issues. Go to the "ME"icon, afterwards click security Center. Fill in the required details. Make sure you input the correct account details plus the bank name, same with the wrong account you send the money to, finally state the purpose of the transaction.
Lastly, in order to fastrack the whole process you can serve a court order. |
