1 take your memory out and reseat them, 2:on bios make sure hdd detect is on auto detect, 3rd on your bios settings go to hdd setting u will see hard disk mode change to standard not native or sata mode or if confuse try all mode one by one this should solve your problem.

on first screen on xp enter repai, on command prompt type (fixmbr) answer yes . then type (fixboot) type yes,exit and restart then load normally or exit and put in your vista cd and load normally.

if u study this list of codes u could see a lot of reason why the code would come on after wash, wrong wash. so your problem is definitely water affecting your engine electrical circuit.

@d-roc remove the water from spark plug head and allow engine to dry before try, if water affect the plug it could effect the combustion of fuel.

but majorly it come on when oil is ready for change and after oil change it has to be clear or u remove the negative terminal of battery for a while but not all ecu discharge logged error from memory when terminal is remove.

we diagnose and detect the error and sensor that causes the problem,our mechanics can change the parts causing problem. for instance on diagnosing a car with check engine light the error code returns oxysen sensor 1 or 2.this is the cause of the check engine light, it either the sensor cable is cut or there is a problem with the catalyst exhaust pot. when this is changed or corrected and ecu reset is done check engine light never returns, so it depend on diagnostic result.

@eros key can be done but dont have a spare transponder will have to order for it

disconnect the negative terminal of your battery terminal for few moment then reconnect,caution:if you have a coded car stereo that code is lost dont disconnect,if there is a problem with car light will still return.goodluck

need a spare key for your car? or keyless go for your benz/bmw/vw, even if key completly lost: proof of owner and certain detail will be presented before keys can be made.
