Adverts › 4 Silent Ways Shop Staff Can Cause Losses Without The Owner Knowing Business by Miladyy(op):
Business owners running their business either from abroad or locally, how do you really know what is happening in your shop when you are not there?

One thing I've noticed with running a shop is that CCTV alone doesn't give the owner the full picture. A customer can buy something, the camera shows the transaction, and everything looks normal. But what happens after?

Here are a few things business owners should watch:

1. The "Voided Receipt" Trick:** A customer buys items, pays cash, and leaves with the goods. The cashier then voids or deletes the transaction on the computer and pockets the cash. CCTV just shows a normal customer interaction.

2. Using Personal POS Terminals:** Some cashiers bring their own personal POS machines to the shop. When a customer wants to pay by card, they swipe it on their personal machine instead of the company's account.

3. The "Network Issue" Excuse:** Staff tell the owner "the internet was down all day, so we couldn't log sales." Meanwhile, sales happened, cash changed hands, but no record exists.

4. Unexplained Refunds:** A refund is processed, but the owner doesn't know who did it or why.

5. Stock Disappearing Slowly:** Fast-moving inventory can be written off as "expired" or "spoilt" when in reality, it was sold and the money kept. A few items here and there go missing, but by the time the owner notices, it's difficult to know what happened.

The bigger problem is visibility.

A staff member can give you today's sales figure, but how do you know the number is correct? What happened to the stock? Who gave that refund? Which products are moving? What was changed or edited?

**How to protect your store:**

You need an inventory system where records cannot be deleted by a cashier, and a system that operates 100% offline so the "no network" excuse disappears.

This is one of the reasons we built **JuaOS**.

It's a business management tool specifically built to solve these exact gaps. You can monitor what is happening in your shop even when you're not physically there, whether you're in another city, another country, or simply busy with other things.

JuaOS gives the owner visibility into sales, stock, staff activity, refunds, product history, customer records, top-selling products and more. And if you have more than one shop, you don't have to check each location separately. JuaOS lets you manage and monitor multiple stores from one place, so you can see what's happening across your businesses without moving from shop to shop.

And it works offline, so "network was bad" doesn't have to mean sales went unrecorded.

We are currently letting a small number of business owners try it for free while we gather feedback and improve the product.

If you run a shop, what is the hardest thing for you to keep track of when you're not there?
