Please house, I use Toyota sienna 2005 model. I need simple car scanner for my personal use to help me identify simple jerking faults. My budget is 20k and below. Please can someone help me with advice whether 20k scanner can be helpful to me. Should I go ahead to buy it or is there an alternative? Thanks

Those fault codes are Standard. The effect you get is dependent on how the 10pin conversion was done.

Please what do you mean by saying that the fault code is standard? Does it mean that conversion to 10 pin automatically gives out those codes? Pls I need answer. Thanks

First of all, your vehicle came installed with a 5 speed 13-pin gearbox. What you have experienced is the classical symptoms of a 4 speed 10-pin conversion and the only solution is to return the vehicle to factory specs.

I have been using 10 pin gearbox. I only replaced the 10 pin gearbox with another 10 pin gearbox.

Hello good people. Pls I have serious issue with my Toyota sienna 2004 model gearbox. I replaced my 10 pin gearbox. When I engage drive, it shift from 1st to 2nd gear well. But shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear shakes the car and makes whining noise. From 3rd to 4th gear is fine. Then downshifting from 3rd to 2nd gear make so much noise that the gear slips, then jumps to 2nd gear and then back to 3rs gear. So it makes it difficult for me to overtake another vehicle. I took it back to automatic transmission repairer who replace the body vale and same thing continues. Auto electrician scanned it and the following codes were shown. P0798, p0986 and p2770. The auto electrician doesn't know how to fix it and the transmission repairer said it is not his work. Please anybody who knows how to fix the problem should help me. I have browsed the net but I don't understand the solutions they are giving me there. What should I do? 2nd to 3rs gear and 3rd to 2nd gear is the issue here. Thanks for your concerns

My 13 pin gear box binds ( do as if brake is applied) and do not downshift. It is stuck in gear 3, 4 and 5. Pls help

2gr is a very bad engine. Little overheat and the engine is gone. 3mz is one of the strongest Toyota engine.

Finally the argument has been laid to rest. Tecno is the biggest selling phone in Nigeria. Nobody disputes that at the moment. Even many who strongly condemn it that time now freak for tecno today. That's the world.

I have a 2005 Toyota sienna that won’t go in reverse when hot, but drives forward. But while driving forward it slips a little bit at times. It is 10 pin gearbox. I met mechanic who replaced the fibre and tail, yet the gear won't engage in reverse but but engage in drive. Please advise what and how to fix this problems. I have handicapped financial power at present, so can't buy new gearbox. I use the car for transport. Please your candid advise is seriously needed. Thanks.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. The problem was injector circuit/socket. It was loosely fixed to the injector. Scan could not detect it, but an experienced automobile electrician detected the fault and fixed the circuit well. Now the car is working fine even the gear selection works better now plus the fuel economy has increased.

Hello Nairalanders and car gurus, my car is Toyota sienna 2004 xle, I was driving and I noticed that the speed wouldn't increase when I press gas pedal further. But I tried to manage it to mechanic. But it couldn't. The rpm won't increase when I press gas pedal. The car starts normal but rpm won't increase beyond 2000rpn when gas pedal is pressed. If I put it in drive the car moves but the gas pedal won't press the rpm beyond 2000rpm. Please what could be the cause and solution
