A woman has become a mum-of-nine by giving birth to nonuplets after doctors missed two of her babies in a scan.

Halima Cisse, 25, from Mali, captured the attention of the West African nation when she delivered her nine babies via c-section on Tuesday.

Doctors originally thought she would give birth to seven babies after she had an ultrasound.

She was flown to Morocco for specialist care in March and this is where she gave birth.

Mali's health minister Fanta Siby said: "The newborns (five girls and four boys) and the mother are all doing well."

Doctors missed two of Ms Cisse's children in the ultrasound scans.

Nonuplets are extremely rare and medical complications associated with multiple births often mean that some of the babies do not reach full term.

Ms Cisse spent two weeks in Point G Hospital in the Malian capital of Bamako before she was transferred to Morocco after the intervention of Mali's President of Transition Bah N'Daw

A family has declared a 15-year-old girl identified as Okigbo Chidera Vera missing.

Vera who is a native of Umunnachi in Anambra state, was last seen in Aba, Abia state, at 3:30am

Gunmen suspected to be operatives of the Nigerian military have attacked the residence of Yoruba freedom fighter, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, in the early hours of Monday.

This was disclosed by his aide, Olayomi Koiki, who told SaharaReporters that the soldiers unleashed mayhem on the activist's house as early as 2 am. This happened in the early hours of Monday in the Soka area of Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

The gunmen fired many gunshots when they invaded the house.

Sunday Igboho has been in the news for his condemnation of various killings, kidnapping and attacks on innocent citizens in the South West Nigeria. His close aide, Dapo Salami has recounted how the whole incident happened.

An Accra Circuit Court has convicted Actress, Rosemond Brown known in showbiz as Akuapem Poloo for publishing nude pictures of herself in the presence of her child.
She was convicted on her own plea by the court presided over by Christina Cann after she changed her plea from not guilty to guilty to all three charges leveled against her.
The court however, deferred her sentencing to Friday, April 16, 2021 for her to undergo a pregnancy test.

This is really heartbreaking- South African student commits suicide after being bullied����

A grade 10 Limpopo schoolgirl allegedly committed suicide after a video of her being bullied by fellow pupils went viral.

In the video, the pupil from Mbilwi Secondary School in the Vhembe East education district is seen being confronted by two other girls. One of them signals the other to move while she gets closer to her to slap her countless times. The victim grabs the pupil who is assaulting her in an attempt to block the blows.

Other pupils can be heard in the background cheering the alleged perpetrator, who is also in grade 10. 

Twitter users started a Twitter campaign on Tuesday in the name of the pupil.

Photos of the pupil who is seen assaulting her schoolmate in the video were also circulated on social media.

Limpopo education spokesperson Tidimalo Chuene confirmed the incident.

“The victimised pupil is reported to have since passed away. However, the cause of death is unknown. The department is awaiting a formal report on the cause from the relevant authorities,” said Chuene.

She said the department was concerned about an apparent increase in bullying incidents in schools around the province.

“The department has also noted another recording of a physical altercation incident involving grade 12 female pupils from Nthuba High School making the rounds on social media. Details of this incident have been requested from the school principal and due disciplinary processes will be undertaken immediately.

“It is quite disturbing to witness this level of violent behaviour among young people. We strongly condemn such conduct that has turned our schools into horrendous havens for  those who have no regards for their peers.  Bullying is wrong and will never be tolerated in our schools,” Chuene said.

Education MEC Polly Boshielo promised action against bullies.

“We send our condolences to the family and friends of the deceased pupil and pledge our commitment towards ensuring all those involved in bullying incidents are made to face the consequences of their actions,” she said.

13 Yr old Gbolahan Ajibola who was abducted Saturday night by unknown gunmen has been released.

It was gathered that the incident occurred around 9 pm when the gunmen, who were six in number, laid ambush on Ajibola’s family as they were returning to their house in Destiny Estate in Obada-Oko in Ewekoro local government area of the state.

It was further learnt that the victim, his mother, and grandmother were returning from their shop after attending the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) programme where the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye had ministered when the gunmen swoop on them.

body found in a pond in Essex has been confirmed as London student Richard Okorogheye.

The 19-year-old, who had sickle cell disease, had not been seen by his family since 22 March when he left their home in Ladbroke Grove.

Officers searching for the Oxford Brookes student found a body in a pond in Epping Forest on Monday evening .

Police said Mr Okorogheye's family had been informed and were being supported by specially trained officers.

Mr Okorogheye's death is being treated as unexplained. Police do not believe anyone else was involved.

A post-mortem found no evidence of physical trauma or assault.

The cause of death is pending whilst further investigations are carried
