Welcome in advance to bayelsa...I'm currently serving there n I can't wait to leave. some of you might enjoy it tho. A little heads up...make sure your white shoes are made of rubber. When we were in camp, we were not allowed to wear shorts with pockets or use waist bags. don't know if that policy would change for u guys. For those coming from Lagos, God is good motors, agofure motors go to bayelsa. just tell the driver to stop you at kaima junction then you take a bike from there to d camp. its about 50-100 naira. Cross country motors also offer camp services ie they go straight to d camp. last year, Lagos to kaima camp was 6k. don't know how much it costs now.
For those of you who want to influence your ppa posting to yenagoa, bear in mind that the cost of living in bayelsa is a little on d high side especially accommodation. whatever you do, do not rent a house where there are no drainage systems in d street, you'll absolutely regret it. So make sure to check d area n ask questions before renting a place.
I'll be happy to answer more questions
once again, welcome in advance to bayelsa

Nairaland / General / Jungle Justice:- Is It Worth It? by mimiy05: 8:54am On Dec 26, 2014
I just watched a video on Facebook..Two guys being burnt to death with their motorcycle "okada" and I shed tears. No matter what they did, as far as I am concerned, they should have been handed over to the police.
Funny enough, people could only stand and watch and of course video the event. Not even one person could beg. I'm also sure I saw a police vehicle pass by in that video.
Now I wonder, if God were to mete out jungle justice each time we sin, ,where would all of us be today?
I am neither a pastress nor a prophetess but the pastors in the house would agree with me that every single soul, both the perpetrators and the onlookers who could not utter one word of plea on behalf of the accused would have a lot of explanation to do on judgement day.
Let us stop with the Jungle justice. Let us learn to be civilized and hand over all suspected criminals to the appropriate authorities. Let us not lay generational curses on our heads by taking the life of any human being who could in fact be innocent. let us say no to Jungle justice.
What gain or satisfaction is there to gain from jungle justice? As far as I am concerned, its not worth it.
