You should be able to retrieve the application as long as you have paid. And it expires after a year I think, so you have to get the passport in that time frame. daintyprincess: |

Were you able to get the application ID and reference number? If yes search for NIS portal status query. You should find a page/ section that allows you use your application ID and Ref number to retrieve the application form and receipt etc. Alternatively check your e-mail inbox (and spam) for an e-mail from nis which should have the application if and reference number for you. If these options don't work, then send them an e-mail or call or message on FB. All the best. daintyprincess: |

Hello. You can go on the nis immigration page. You should find an email and contact number for enquiries / complaints. You can call or send an e-mail. Sometimes there is a live chat option, where you can live chat and lay your complaints. You can also message them on face book. As per what to do next after paying, print out the receipt, acknowledgement slip and form along with the required documents and head to the passport office of choice for submission. You don't necessarily need an appointment date to submit. All the best! daintyprincess: 1 Like

You can try sending a message on Facebook to ask. Some people have had success with that. Also if you don't live far away you can physically check. You may be lucky. BoluwajiPieters: |

Change of name due to marriage costs the same as renewal 17,000 or 25,000 depending on the location. You need your expired passport plus a photocopy of the data page, consent letter from husband, photocopy of husband's passport data page, marriage certificate, affidavit, newspaper publication and NIN for Lag, PH, Abj. You will also need to write an application letter to the PCO. lady25: |

Hello all. I changed my middle and surname after marriage. I was at Abeokuta passport office to do change of name (DIY) today and was told it is best for me to do change of name on my passport in Abuja. Please has anyone had success doing this outside Abuja? Ps -Abeokuta is quite DIY friendly. I found it very organized and people were quite wiling to help. The lady attending to me made several calls and kept going to confer with other people and teasing me for doing self download. The only thing is that time from capture for DIY/ self download is like 4 - 6 weeks. And they don't have booklets at the moment so they have a backlog ( overheard this while waiting). It is possible to change your centre if you haven't captured and it is in the same price range (17k versus 26k). I initially paid for another control but they helped me change it to Abeokuta when I had complaints. I printed out a new payment slip, acknowledgement slip and form. You can open the portal and do the live chat. They respond quite promptly. Lastly, some people asked about Ibadan. I was there this week and was told they have produced passports from June and July so if you captured then you may want to check again. Hope this helps. 1 Like |
