How come nobody is talking about the presidents safety and the fact the the old jet has been sold and this is not even a brand new jet.
How come nobody is talking about the safety of millions of Nigerians and the fact that kidnapping
has been sold to be a lucrative business and this is not even a concern of the Presidency.

I mean psychologists are not medical doctors
They are not supposed to be medical doctors.

In the field of mental health, the best known intervention model, is the biopsychosocial, the bio covers the Psychiatrists, mental health nurses, the psycho covers the Psychologists/Psychotherapist /Counsellors then the social, covers the social worker, patients' relatives, friends etc.

Every standard mental health facility in the world MUST have a Psychologist/Therapist on its payroll.

For example when the Psychiatrist prescribes medication for the psychiatric patient and the mental health nurse goes to give the patient the drugs, most times the patient refuse the drugs...the Psychiatrist will contact the Psychotherapist, to therapeutically engage the psychiatric patient with the aim of getting him or her to resume medication...It is division of labour.

A UK registered Psychotherapist charges £50 and above for a 50mins to one hour therapy session.

I don't think Nigeria plays psychologist or "Clinical Child Psychologist"
When Nigerian parents in Nigeria, have children with Autism, ADHD, Intellectual disability, conduct disorders etc....which professional is trained to provide clinical support for those children?

I repeat, you are not regarded as highly skilled or paid in the world.

I have attached to my message a job in your career for a "specialist" currently advertised in the UK.

Yes, someone earning 500 USD will ball than you and have more savings that you because he does not need to pay 600 GBP per months for rent , cut throat taxes and pay for all the endless bills.

You seem you are better off, but you are not. They pay you that amount in the western world for wages to cover the cost of the inflation, at the end of the day, what remains? Your own career does not pay much neither in Nigeria or abroad.
At least your conviction, can now make you sleep better tonight. grin grin

Without being condescending to your career, Clinical child psychologist is not an highly paid job in the UK.

After you qualify to practice, you will be averaging between 35k to 45k GBP per annum. That is way too average in the UK.

Don't you think someone earning more than a million naira in naija will ball better?

Just asking, not advising you.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

For the sake of those who may be interested in that pathway, let me be more detailed.

I have my first degree in Counselling Psychology and have gone ahead to get my registration with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and now a registered Psychotherapist.....Google the average cost of an hour of psychotherapy session in London.

I did my postgraduate specialty in Clinical Child Psychology here in the UK and now working as a Neurodevelopmental Assessment Practitioner in the public sector (not NHS)

So someone earning above a million naira (£500) a month will "ball" more more than me? cheesy cheesy cheesy

Funny.

At the bolded, I was telling you indirectly that the case in hands was about British national moving to Nigeria and reminding you indirectly that you were digressing by referring to individuals who are immigrants,

Since you can earn that big in Nigeria, why are you still stuck in the Uk? Just asking
I am not "stuck" in the UK, I live in the UK, just as my skill sets can also make me live comfortably in Nigeria, US, Canada, Qatar, Australia etc but I choose UK for now.

Maybe I can ask my team lead who is also Nigerian and a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, why he is still "stuck" in the UK when he can work in a Nigerian teaching hospital. wink cheesy

So a British born is given 60 days to get skilled job?

The life you feel is cool for you in London, New York, Frankfurt is thrash and considered mediocre living to others. Squeezing into a one room shared apartment is a no-no to some.

A middle class corporate Nigerian, earning over a million naira in a month would see working anywhere in the world, as a carer for instance as a demotion. But if you have nothing of note doing in Nigeria and you move to anywhere western, doing a menial job, you will still consider it as a promotion.

Let us know your antecedent before you advise and people should be careful whose advice they are listening to.

Let us respect each others decision and move on. To every mallam his kettle.
A Briton do not need skilled worker visa to remain and work in the UK. It is for immigrants who are yet to achieve ILR and citizenship.

And who is squeezing in one room? Not everyone living in every country in this world is living comfortably, just like not every migrant living in the West are into menial jobs as some are even earning more than the indigenous people, doing top tier jobs.

I am a Clinical Child Psychologist, I don't do "menial jobs", so even if I move to Nigeria, I will earn 7 figures monthly.....so, what are we saying.

There must be an intangible something bringing these people back - something hard to put into words
Majority who are coming back from the UK are about to have their legal stay, ending.

Some were given 60 days to get another job that would offer them skilled worker visa in order to remain in the UK, they couldn't get and some come online to give the impression they
voluntarily chose to go back to Nigeria.

I live and work in London..……life is cool.

Even if you studied Efik language for your first degree in Nigeria, you can do your Masters in Psychology in the UK. It is called Msc. Psychology (conversion), for those coming from non Psychology degree.

It is a one year full time program here in the UK and when one graduates well from a British Psychological Society accredited Msc Psychology Conversion program, they will be eligible to be granted the GMBPsS (Graduate Member of the British Psychological Society) accreditation, one is then qualified to apply as an Assistant Psychologist in diverse settings.

Can go further to qualify as a Psychotherapist, Child Psychologist, Educational Psychologist, Clinical Psychologist, Neurodevelopmental Assessment Practitioner etc.

Oga rest, you don't have any point. You wanted to engage in tribal bashing, but you know in your own heart that your tribesmen are part of the beneficiaries of the fraud as well... Whether it's a business or not, they have helped thousands reside in the country and put food on their tables...

This one is different from selling drugs and disgracing Nigerians in the diaspora which your people are known for.
I put it to you once again, screenshot where I engaged in tribal bashing before you quoted me.

See who is talking about going tribal....Tinubu that has a documented history of being engaged in narcotics and having to forfeit huge sums from the proceeds to the the US State is not a disgrace to Nigeria's image nor your kinsmen languishing in Saudi prisons for drug business?

Guy, go take your medication and rest!
