Saladdin: This is painful but very stupid of him. I knew about too. He wanted to run to Canada with another lady, then planned to abandon his wife and kid in Nigeria, an awesome and totally help lady at that.
Then Canada struck and reduced visa quotas for student. Long story short, their marriage is really in turbulence now. The painful part was that the girl's dad never wanted her to marry him.
I find it bizarre as to why a man who decide to ditch his biggest support system and behave like a coward. I mean, when done the right way, she'll literally have your back (work support, intimacy, prayers etc). But no, they'll want to behave like a possessed person. So sad to think about. There are so many such stories around, many are stuck and can't face the family they abandoned in Nigeria, after the support that was provided. |

He had a different plan....
One came to the UK in September 2021 for his Masters, with plans that the wife and their 2 kids would join him by January 2022....Uncle ghosted everyone, even his brother-in-law (wife's elder brother) who provided bulk of the funds for the tuition fees.
He graduated November 2022 with Msc. International Business Management , moved to 2 years Post Study Work visa while still working in a warehouse, couldn't get COS to switch to skilled worker visa....Post Study Work visa expired early February 2025....Uncle is still in the UK, illegally as an overstayer....no job as he has no right to work, still sustaining himself with his savings and talking about going to seek asylum in Ireland. |

Why missing costly food
Leave the taste for us here, abeg. Food is cheaper when you compare to income. Minimum wage earner here in the UK can cook a pot of soup with an hour wage. |
