latiephwald:Your skill in carpentry is eligible for the UK skilled worker visa, your focus is to look for UK companies with sponsorship license, recruiting carpenters/joiners from outside the UK. This thread is for students, so we don't get to derail it. |
Pochettino:Uncle Gender Dysphoria, don follow talk.😂😂 |
N10m is less than $6,000...hmm🤔 |
Really painful. |
latiephwald:Are your skills in high demand in the UK? |
Midex88:What in all the junk he wrote there is good advice? ![]() Genuine care COS in the private sector that is seriously very scare or the ones from NHS , that has thousands of others already in the UK, are also chasing?🙄 UK is not Nigeria, where you will be forming wetin person bo know , when it comes to jobs or getting mortgage, no be by forming macho. Relocate to the UK with an open mind, no matter how toxic some people you will meet will be, you would also get to meet people who would look out for you, people who would get drawn to you for the positive energy you exude. |
omolola100:Rather teaching cannot be effective, if there is no discipline. There is vast difference between discipline and punishment. Any school that knows its onions would not still be applying beatings/flogging in this big 2024. There are more effective ways in instilling discipline in children and young persons. You get employed by a school like Corona in Lagos and you would insist on beating/flogging, kneeling down pupils to instill discipline?🙄🙄

A long ride. |
gtassure:My proof that I work in.Kosofe LG? |
MT:That one needed connection in government to get a public service job abroad as it is in Nigeria, I got one in London and had no connection with anyone in government, so don't blanket it. |
omolola100:And if the school further states those are not allowed as punishment, how would your effectively manage those challenging behaviours? |
Racoon:It is called learned helplessness. |
MT:Corruption is everywhere in the world and by the way, they are many born and raised Nigerians at the very top management level in the borough, I see their details on our intranet and that is reassuring that if they can get there, I also can. |
femi4:Like I said, in my field working within the children and adolescents mental health services under the children and family seevice unit., my degrees opened the door and my work experience was expressed at the table and knowing my Professional Doctorate is in view, my employer knew I will be a long term assest to them. They are fields that are all-comer's affair, that do not require even a degree to get into, just be good enough with field experience but IT IS NOT all fields because some are protected fields. For example, many counties and boroughs in the UK are struggling to recruit educational psychologists to assess many of their children and young people with special educational needs, with tens of thousands on their waiting list. I guess when applying for such roles, you can't tell them you have extensive experience though you have no degree to back it up.😂 |
afroxyz:Yes, a regulated space as I work within children and adolescents mental health services. I know for tech, construction etc wetin u study for school no concern anybody just show workings .😂😂 |
omolola100:Okay, if you as a teacher get employed in a school with a strict "NO BEATING/FLOGGING" policy, how would you instill discipline in the students? |
omolola100:Beating students is a proof of a weak teacher, who hides behind a cane. |
They delayed taking him to hospital for medical attention because they thought he was pretending? The teacher and the Principal need to be prosecuted and imprisoned. |
afroxyz:Experience and academic qualifications go hand in hand. In my field, you are presenting both. Even on NHS recruitment portal, roles in my field always have NHS state categorically that you MUST have membership with the British Psychological Society and one is expected to input their BPS number, in the course of the application and they would go verify. To get that number, you MUST have studied Psychology at degree level (either undergraduate or postgraduate) and met BPS qualifying threshold. You can't have all the "experiences" without that degree and get those related roles. For my field, that degree opens the door then your experience is that you show off at the table. |
femi4:Studying courses that "make sense" puts you on the pathway. Let me give an example, If you come to the UK to do your Masters in Business Administration and your friend also comes to do his Masters in Psychology conversion (conversion because he didn't study psychology as a degree program for his undergraduate degree). You both got part time support worker jobs as students till you both graduate, you an MBA degree while he, a Msc Psychology degree with the added accreditation as Graduate Member, British Psychological Society (GMBPsS) after his name. Your friend will have higher opportunities of getting skilled worker visa related jobs than you with your MBA as recruiters see that your support worker job as a survival job for you while your friend would be seen as getting relevant work experience to apply what he was studying in school....Psychology is what I studied at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, it has given me job opportunities and finally landed me a well paying job in the public sector with a London borough in their children and family services. |
lastkingsman:Paid for COS, is now a waving red flag. Be truly skilled and have rich working experience in an in-demand field, you will comfortably be offered COS by firms with the sponsorship license. |
Shadomaan7:Which loyalty?...rather it was her younger brother that was hawking APC like gala in the last election but wasn't appointed into any position while she never identified with APC ![]() APC needs her personality for the optics, reason they gave her a portfolio in the Foreign Ministry for high visibility. |
Eyah. ![]() |
lastkingsman:Many really cashed out, the 2 jobs that have granted me the COS, I didn't pay a dime for it. |
MT:You lie! I am presently a public service worker (govt worker) with a London borough. They advertised a job vacancy on their website, LinkedIn and Indeed. We were 217 that applied for the job, 34 was shortlisted for the interview which we had at their council headquarters near London bridge. I was the only one who scaled through and got hired despite still being on the skilled worker visa route and so many other applicants were British citizens. They went through the stress of thoroughly contacting all my references in the Countries I have schooled and worked in and I finally got to switch sponsor. Now , enjoying the job with good pay package, beautiful working environment few minutes walk to the iconic London bridge and Tower bridge. My "connection" was my academic qualifications, work history, evident professional skills and God's grace. |
pocohantas:U dey fear japa?😂😂😂 Truly, it sucks so much from one but with resilience, one can eventually achieve stability. The mistake most Nigerians who came to the UK through the study route, is coming over to study "useless" courses though the real intention was migration but why pay as much £18,000 for courses that would not realistically position you for a well paying job with skilled worker visa attached? After graduation, some still paid another £12,000 for care visa sponsorship and still not getting regularly shifts., just hanging on a thread with their employers' sponsorship licenses awaiting the sledge hammer from the UK Home Office. |
JobAndVacancies:What has gender identity got to do with calling out his commodifcation, which also captures his mother or is his mother, no longer a woman? |
Pochettino:Your struggle with your identity crisis, continues. Boldly chest your masculinity. |
Pochettino:Go sort out your identity crisis., |
Mryacks:Na the "other services" be the main target.😂😂 |
EmperorCaesar:On a Man to Man level, what is your own father's achievements in life, next to Peter Obi's? ![]() |
sunshine1974:After you calm down, take your antidepressant as it would help your mood swings. |
