Oga go home and manage the little money that you're paid to sabotage your fellow country men. If you claimed he's lying debunk with facts not emotions. Engineers payslip has been leaked to the internet for days, 800 people cannot be lying. Do you know more than Dangote himself who claimed that he's engineering staff are the best , and then few days later sack them ? You can defend lie for long especially when truth is without clothes grin grin

Simple question, Shell, Exon mobi, Total are private companies and they're national assets too, has the union destroyed them huh? Why is Dangote case different? I know you're sponsored but posterity will judge you !
Do the companies you mentioned have local refineries ? It's those conglomerate that are wedging proxy wars against Dangote because he dares to set up a local refinery to put an end to their importation scheme. Since the payslips had been made public why didn't you attach it to boister Ur argument?

Moreover, Dangote Refinery is nearly 5 years old but you want to compare it's payslip to companies with over 50 years operations.
If we don't support Dangote Refinery now those cabal begin PENGASSAN will overrun it and make it useless same way they made NNPCL

Dangote should settle with the unions.
Yes. The enemy of the entrepreneur anywhere is regulations and red tape. They are like the speedometer, they are like the ABS, they are like the brakes. But they are there for a reason. To ensure you go out and return safely. And not just for whoever drives the car but every road user that the car comes across.

I have said it before. The unions are an open window to the operations of the organisation they supervise. Without them the public will not know what happens in their universities, their hospitals, and their oil industry.

And I will say this to the public the Dangote company appeals to. The moment that window is shut you will no longer have access to information thoughtless of influence and with poor government oversight the sky will be the li.it ad to how that company will shape the industry going forward.

To me this is like taking your car into town without brakes or indicators. If it is a national asset as they say then it needs national superintending of which the unions have an important role to play.
Dangote Refinery should llow the Union supervise his Refinery the same manner they supervised the three Nigerian refineries ba ?

Fight your Fight .
Pumps price was 650k-700k before your refinery fully commenced operation. Now, you want me to buy fuel at 880 per litre to stand for you. Fight your Fight.
How much your NNPCL selling? That's a government company o!
Dangote Refinery is even cheaper than NNPCL. IF NNPCL reduced theirs I'm sure Dangote Refinery will follow suit . But most time it's Dangote Refinery that usually force NNPCL to reduce first

RayRay06677:
Earlier today, I deleted my previous post about the Dangote Refinery because I spoke directly with one of the staff, and now I know exactly what is happening. What I heard broke my heart and made me angry at the same time.

The truth is this: the company says they don’t bother if staff join any union, and PENGASSAN only returned after staff registered. But when the company realized that over 95% of its workers had joined, instead of addressing the issues, they shockingly released a statement firing all Nigerian staff. Imagine that! Generalizing and throwing out hardworking Nigerians who built this refinery with their sweat and blood.

Do you know what these workers have been through? For years, they endured extreme hardship working in temperatures of over 1000° and with dangerous nitrogen gas. Many lost their lives. Yet their monthly salaries are shamefully small. Meanwhile, Indians in the same refinery, with little experience (often taught by Nigerians themselves), earn 10 times more. To make matters worse, since 2022, the company has failed to provide even basic safety tools like helmets and boots. Staff are forced to buy their own protective gear with their meager salaries. Even job security is a joke people are fired for something as small as forgetting an ID card. This injustice has been ongoing for over five years.

A refinery like Dangote’s, which is supposed to be a world-class project, should stand out for staff welfare, compensation, bonuses, job security, and a healthy relationship between company and workers. Instead, what we are seeing today is shameful and unacceptable.

This is not only unethical it is inhuman. I strongly urge the management of Dangote Refinery to withdraw their decision of mass firing Nigerian staff, provide every necessary safety need, and increase salaries by at least 200%. The Nigerian government must also intervene immediately to ensure our citizens are treated with dignity, fairness, and 100% representation in their own country.

This is no longer just about Dangote it is about the value of Nigerian lives and the respect we deserve in our own land. - *Ibrahim Yahya Harande*
All these are lies and propaganda.
I tell you , it's a privilege to work at any Dangote company. Do you know the crowd that attend their recruitment? Even you , if see opportunity to work there won't hesitate because their salary isn't meagre. Even Graduates apply to be their truck drivers

You think Dangote can't buy at any amount?
His Refinery reduced importation of fuel. We can leave him to fight these cabals alone . It's our fight too

If the FG allow this PENGASSAN get away with this acrocities, that means they can't really read between the lines .
It's the issue more than these Dangote Refinery staff that were sacked ? Why are other companies joining an internal raggling? Now NLC too is joining to cripple the whole economy and the FG has not called the DSS to pick up their excos for sabotaging the nation's economy.
But if someone calls Tinubu out now , theyll jump and stick on the person like white on rice .
These same set of union have always complained about this same Refinery claiming it's selling substandard fuel and what have you . And now theyve found an excuse. I've never seen where private company staff involved themselves with strike actions . We've seen ASUU and doctors go on strike but their private counterparts don't join them . Why is this any different?
PoliticsRe: PENGASSAN Has Shut Down The Dangote Refinery Plant. by Minjim: 10:01pm On Sep 28, 2025
Dangote Refinery should put it as a prerequisite that if you want to work in their refinery, you won't join the union . Chikena !

Sadly , in all these , we have not heard from the staff of Dangote Refinery to know their side . All we hear is PENGASSAN speaking for them

Your post said 2-5 million per annum. Which means the average monthly salary for an level entry engineer should be about 300k-400k. Now, I can categorily tell that the monthly salary of a level entry engineer in NLNG is about 800k-1M
When did Dangote Refinery begin operations that you want them to start paying like Mobile and Chevron? The Refinery is the Pride of Nigeria. It's not a global brand

The other 5 million is even smaller than what they pay Indians
Get me a senior engineer that earns up to 500k
How much is the minimum wage?
2 million is the basic , when you add allowance and overtime it becomes something. I've not heard of any Dangote workers protesting over poor pay , have you ?

Dangote pays his workers 300k
Now if you see that as a good salary for a professional engineer then I have nothing to say to you

In case you were not enlightened, Dangote workers voluntarily joined pengassan and dangote sacked them. Where in the news did you hear pengassan were forcing the workers to join, and dangote sacked those they were forcing
Some times I wonder how u guys think
300k for drivers or engineers

This is being wise by half. You're quoting a flat rate as if all engineers do the same work.

300k for drivers or engineers?

Nigeria is a Very big country. You don't live in the North and you don't have family and friends there or you not being visibly present on social media, thats why you don't know what is going on in the North. The issue of killing Christians in the North was trending on X yesterday. And if you follow the trend you would be amazed at the level of acrocities that is being committed against Christians in the North.

@ bolded. That's when dangote choose to defy the law of the country and international laws and sack workers for joining union

2nd NNPC does not give anybody license for anything, you can't write a long epistle of what you don't know

Dangote is owing nnpc a lot of money somewhere

No PENGASSAN leader is in any filling station or has any business or invested interest with any anywhere in this country

Who suffers more? Dangote, the sacked workers, the thousands of Indians replacing Nigeria, the common man, the uncommon man, together in unity we will all suffer for the injustice meted on those sacked workers

NNPC is not Pengassan and pengassan is not nnpc. Why not also call out total, Chevron, nlng, seplat, shell and the rest because their staffs are also pengassan members.

If NNPC refuses to sell crude to dangote, let him buy from total or mobil, or seplat or Chevron they are all crude producers

Go and read your books for next year utme abeg. For your mind now you have written an essay

Injury to those sacked workers is injury to everyone. When we learn to stand up for each other, oppression will end
What is the benefits of joining a union?
It is to protect workers from inimical policies of the company.
We all know that Dangote workers everywhere are well paid with good renumeration. PENGASSAN just want to infiltrate the Dangote Refinery so they can manipulate their operations the way they have grounded NNPCL.
If you are a biz man that have made such a huge investment, will you allow such unions to dictate how you run your company . The Refinery has its own union but PENGASSAN want to force workers to join . The same thing they're are accusing Dangote of ,they're themselves are guilty of .
My take is that , Dangote Refinery should be left alone . With unionism we've seen what has become of government owned companies.
