To answer that question, ask yourself first, do you love God ?, What does it mean to love God ?
To help you answer that, read John 14:21-23. Here Jesus said that only those who keep his commandments really love him. Unfortunately, so many that profess love for God don't keep his commandments, even the basic one about love for others.

All true children of God hear and understand God's voice (John 10:27-28)

You are saying the same thing as the OP. Anybody can also claim to have used the same spirit of god to discern the voice. Infact, many Pastors have used this spirit discernment to defile minors and gullible females.

What I mean is that as a true child of God, you will always know God's voice even when he speaks through someone else. God's Holy Spirit will help you decern true prophecies from fake ones.
