New Gods isn't rushed and has been in plans way before Eternals. Infact Ava has been snapped to helm the film since 2018. That's 2 years already, and writing already started since last year.

Also, the earliest the film will premiere will be 2023, which means it has about 5 yrs from planning to Production, then release. If it started filming 2022 or ideally late 2021 it has at least 3yrs before Production.
That doesn't seem rushed in anyway, infact methodical and careful. The focus is mainly on Solos for now, so it's bidding it's time till it's right for release and the major heroes might have been well set up.

lol, 5 yearz? And in that time, eternals a copy of NG would be out. Why did wb ann0unce it so early? In those 5 yearz, they'd have kept a low profile on the project and g0ne with producing either cyborg or GL. It's n0t like there weren't direct0rs.

Shazam 2 is already greenlit. It's already up for pre Production and will start next year spring. It would have started late this year, shooting concurrently with Black Adam but Covid-19 had other plans.
Black Adam has also shifted production for early next year.

Or heck, cyborg with a flash end credits appearance? I jux hope BoP is the last of those until the dceu is on steady track.

to be fair, Feige is a genius and a master business man. A real life Lex luthor. He t0ok advantage of dc's shaky nature to propel mcu to greatness. And when the mcu is fading, he is using the dceu's era of resurgence to garner hype for mcu. Dr. Strange acc0rding to what i am hearing would be an0ther Endgame kinda stuff with multiple cameos fr0m around marvel films, imagine blade, x men, tobey maguire, andy garfield cameos. Then c0mes eternals, lol. Dc or wb should n0t ann0unce films just for the sake of it without having it green lightd. NG, jl dark were ann0unced but n0t green lightd. Hence, if any idea initiatd by wb is copied, marvel takes credit for getting it on screen 1st. lol, aside JL that was underwhelming in terms of BO, the other films did well. With all the disney marketing, you'll have gotten right the predicti0n for Captain marvel. Bt seriously, the budget is s0mething close to 300mill plus the pr0m0ti0ns disney did. So, it's n0t quite a success as exaggerated yet, lol. Disney went to far ends to pr0m0te this film. I bet the actual budget is close to 300mill, bt disney would never tell us.

I feel hulk616 could be right abt Shazam n0t doing well at the box office. Captain marvel did far better than people thought, wh!ch was m0stly cos of the Endgame link. Shazam doesn't have that. Every0ne's mind would be on endgame, and n0t every0ne has m0ney to go to the cinema in same m0nth to see 2 different films at different times. They'll go for the priority film. I do believe Shazam is and will be a better film than Captain Marvel though. But i fear hulk616 is right. Then again, should Shazam do well, it would prove one thing, DC's phase 1 films did far better than MCU's phase 1 in terms of Box office total gross. And it would prove equally well that DC is truly a c0mpetiti0n, hence the need for marvel to up the game. Time will tell the tale though.

1. The release date or month is bad and poorly planned. SHAZAM!! cant compete with captain marvel or AVENGERS ENDGAME.
2. DCs bad reputation. Aquaman is just luck because no other good movies were in the cinemas
3. People dont watch DC movies in Cinemas again because its waste of money. People just wait for bluray to download. For Aquaman its because it was released during christmas.
4. Because movie ticket is expensive, people will want to save money for AVENGERS ENDGAME. instead of wasting money on SHAZAM!!!.
5. lastly, people will be preparing their minds for AVENGERS ENDGAME, do not want to be disturbed by SHAZAM!!!.
