Hi all, sorry for just commenting after the birth of my wonderful baby boy tru CS, but thank God im alright now. I had him on the 3rd of September at Del Sol Medical Center here in El paso. I've collected all my baby's docs, we're just chilling till its time to go back to Nigeria. Delta airline wants me to pay 600USD for a non sitting infant, imagine oo. Pls Jaysmom or any other El paso mom who flew using Delta Airline should pls advise on what to do. I heard I can pay 100USD ish at d Atlanta airport on d day of travel, but I'll pay 25USD for his 20lbs luggage from El paso to Atlanta. I'll be looking forward to a wonderful response ooo.

Hi guys, I just decided to check out the US embassy in Nigeria's website dedicated to notary appointment and was surprised to see that there are just 19 appointments left for d month of September (as at now o). The earlier you apply (as long as you're almost certain of when d baby's coming) the better for you.

I am happy to inform the house that I finally landed in HOUSTON On 26 Aug and my POE exp was effortless. Flew United Airline. Can u imagine that I was not asked a single questions and I was stamped in for six months. Our flight arrived late by 1 hrs 15 mins and they appeared to be in a hurry to clear the batch of people. Therefore went for screening of foods and off I go.

Will stay a few days in Houston n will be heading to El Paso on 1st Sept.

@Miri7n5b, pls inbox me ya number. Need to speak with you ASAP.

Note: if u declared your intentions at d embassy and have some reasonable cash to cover your bills, there is no need to be afraid of using Houston as POE.

Hi, apart from what the website states, Vaginal $5410, CS $6925, you'll need to do a 3d scan at 36 weeks which costs $250. Then when u deliver, u pay for ur baby's every visit to d pediatrician some paid $65, Someone else was told to pay $86.

Please help! I have chosen doctoresparati.com in El Paso but have a few questions? Has anybody booked the travel tickets using Expedia? Its mentioned on their website but i have never bought tickets so i am unsure.

My other questions is, I will be arriving on Aug 28, I have not decided where to stay. I have been told that Ramada and Intown are very close to the hospital but I also want to stay where I can meet more Nairalanders Please, is there anybody there now or is there anybody going around September For the people that have been there, where is the closest place to the hospital to stay? How far is it, and how much is transportation to my prenatal??

Currently at intown and its nice and close to tbe hospital and clinic. $20 will take you and bring u back to intown.

I've seen studio6 and ramada but dont know of d population of nairalanders der oo, but we plenty for intown.

TokyoBulls: Please does she need to carry that kind of cash on her for travel? As in raw cash of over 1.5M? Isn't that risky? I was thinking she needs to carry a card on her with her account statement.

She doesn't have to hold everything in cash if you're not comfortable with that. She can hold half of it and put the remaining on her master or visa card that will not messs her up oo.

Thank God for a safe delivery. It was indeed an experience I'ld cherish forever, as I witnessed miracle! My godson was born. Your wife is a warrior! Lolz. And btw, ur son can sleep for El Paso and Nigeria oooo. Ewwww. But he's so adorable and I just wanna carry him all the time.

PeaceF: Anyone had triplets in the US? Am expecting triplets. I wish to have the babies in Atlanta. I have 2 daughters and will like to take then along. can't leave them for 3 months or more. I will take my mum too and employ a nanny there when the babies come as money is not an issue here. Will it be easy to get visa for myself, 2 daughters and my mum. Please I need advice

Triplets! Wow. Congrats oo. But mehn how do you plan to cope with 5 kidz and just 2 Adults? 3 Babies with 2 Adults I believe iz stressful enough, not to talk of 5!

How will you travel with the triplets on the plane when coming back? I think u and your mom are not even enough to take care of the triplets, not to talk of 2 more kids. ? Im sorry, I hate to sound so pessimistic, im just feeling for you in advance and dont know you can cope with all the work that this entails.


And I wonder if the VO won't consider this too during your interview, except she/he doesn't get to know, and/or doesn't ask.

I think you should think about this very well.. I sincerely have your best interest at heart.

Hi, so like you did, many other people too, say that they don't have any relatives in the US and I don't think its a crime. But if you plan to stay with ur uncle, that's fine, but I'll advise you book a short stay and tell them you'll be staying there, and when you get to your uncle's place, cancel the booking. Its safer option. But on a lighter note, what if out of the blues, you win $1,000,000 and they go looking for you at the stay, only to find out yiu were nevr there? Lol, just thinking aloud...

Don't worry, you should be just fine.

Hi all, its been a while since I posted here, actually its been since the attack. Well, now im back.

Well I arrived in Dallas Texas on Thursday, and I thank God cuz it was a smooth journey. The only issue I had was that cuz ive got a cough now and it really disturbed me during the 12 hour (delta airline) flight. I kept going to the bathroom to get tissue and also to pee. Couldn't sleep much, even though I spent d day going up and down and felt I would get knocked out and sleep throughout the journey, but no, cough had its own plan for me . I was lucky sha cuz I found 3 empty seats on the plane and used them as my bed .

On getting to Atlanta it was very lovely, an officer that checked people's passport while on tge queue asked me what my mission is in the US and I told him "to have my baby" and I think he said "fine". The immigration officer that I went to asked for my mission, I told him same, and he thanked me for being honest. He later said he didn't understand y people lie about it when its not illegal to come have a child in the US. I told him I know this but that I also think that people are getting more enlightened and now know its absolutely legal to come to the Us for this purpose. Told him I'ld be staying with my aunt in dallas before heading to el paso later in August.

He asked for the name of the hospital which I told him and asked how I intend to pay the bills. I told him I had $7105 with me and he was satisfied. Didn't ask to see any docs or d money...just stamped me in for 6 months. We were laughing as we conversed, and I even scoped him that I could give my baby his name, Pitts (was def pulling his legs), then he told me his first name is James . He asked me to enjoy my stay and I told him thanks as I left.

No secondary checks, no further questioning, I just strolled in like a frequent visitor. Lol.

I was highly favoured and it could have only been God, cuz I was over prepared, but luckily I didn't need to show any docs.

Ladies, pls avoid carrying heavy hand luggage as it could weigh you down cuz the airports are very big and it could be tiring carrying heavy stuff up and down.

Delta airline was really nice, good service, I was over fed, and I'll recommend them to anyone.

And hold some change, e,g $20, 10 or 5 and even coins if you can, cuz you might need to pay for ur trolley.

Its past 1am now and I need to go sleep. If I remember any other thing, I'll post it later.
