Definitely not a law but it's generally acceptable. Meaning, family can insist. I am from there and married an Anambra man but my other siblings did not. I noticed that most of my parent's generation married Anambra.
Are you the first daughter?

I'm not new to Nairaland, I've been following as a guest but decided to open an account today to know the truth..

Is there a law that says an Anambra man must marry from Anambra?

I have been dating this guy for some years now like 3-4 years now, he is from Anambra State, Idemili North local government, Abatete and I'm from Imo State. He called me and told me that his mum said he must marry from Anambra, that they've even gone to kinsmen and they said same thing.

Are Anambra people tribalist?
