I'm honestly curious as to how you intend to "navigate" and "resist" society troubles you listed in your initial post as A REALIST you are.

This is you normalizing abnormalities in a society and preach them as fact. If Government is not your friend then who is the government? Aren't they people in our midst selected to govern us? If they can't be friends, shouldn't they be held accountable?

If the law is not there to protect you, why make them at all?

Churches are not there to save you, no Jesus saves not church. Church is a congregation of believers of Christ not the savior himself. Church is a group of people like you who come together to share what they have in their discretion. It is entitlement mentality to think a group of people whom you share same economic and social policies with are OBLIGATED to SAVE especially FINANCIAL saving. The Bible and Holy Spirit are number pathway to spiritual growth. There are lots of church goer's who don't grow spiritually not because the church is bad but they are yet to be saved.

Money in Essence isn't Debt, Loans are. Any right thinking being knows to minimize debts in business.

Doctors take oath to save lives, most doctors of functioning societies do all to ensure their patients are fine. If you preach otherwise it's little wonder your politicians would rather travel miles overseas to get treated than improve hospitals in Nigeria. Lol... They know people like you will understand and preach it as hard truth to gullible ones.

And who's fault is this? Your colonisers keep improving their educational system while you as a nation keep doing things same old way. Thank God for some private schools they inculcate practical life skills into their curriculum. Should we demand this for all institutions as well? Oh I forgot, Government is our enemy grin grin they are untouchable grin

Lol Probably because your nation is a dumping ground for things that ought to work but don't. If you produce drugs yourself and not wait for a group of pharmacist in India to research and create drugs maybe you won't get drugs that takes days to work at expensive prices.
Even at that some still work grin

Another sob story. Your vote should count shouldn't it

Lol I can go on and on but I'm curious how do you intend to navigate these hard truth?
Please you will have to forgive me. I'm a very lazy debater. There is just not enough time or energy to spare. I hope you understand.

When people sell their cynical thoughts as "THE TRUTH" then you should know they are members of a very brutal societal system.

I'm not surprised you all got here! Victims are blamed and expected to be "wiser" it's only a matter of time before everyone begin to act smart, outplay one another and the evil ones you excused grow while the "weak at heart" you criticize learn to be wicked .

Lol... Just look at how you call practices sane individuals ought to weed out of their society as "Hard Truth" and the likes from people who share your thought process is mind boggling.

Pity!
A cynical realist is better equipped to navigate and resist societal troubles than an idealist or conformist. We must learn from history or we are doomed to repeat it.

This doesn't apply to everyone.

Most times, it rather goes predestined. A number of people who works hard and smart do not make it but the lots fall on others who hasn't been serious about it.
It is either you modify your tactics to achieve your goals no matter the obstacle or adjust your goals to suit what is available, it is up to you. A lot of people achieve their initial goals through persistence while others edit their goals to suit society. None is better than the other. It is all about preference and one shouldn't complain when the bad sides of each preference comes to knock.

What you said is so true especially the part about most people living their lives on the internet nowadays. Its so disheartning
The internet is filled with all kinds of distractions to be clear. People have adapted fantasies to replace real life experiences as a coping mechanism to how they would have preferred their lives to be. There are many gifted people who would have been demigods if only they could focus more on the present and learn to seize or manipulate opportunities to their favour.

If people were obsessed with their goals the way they obsess with the internet, it is no miracle, they will achieve concrete value.

Hmmmm! This add to the fact that this life is filled with mysteries. Things aren't truly the way we see them. They're never what we intend they are.
You can be deliberate on how you want your life to be. Remember number 10
RomanceUntil You Understand These Harsh Realities, You Will Never Be Truly Free. by Mistral(op):
1. The Government is not your friend

They don't care about you. You're not their priority. Whenever someone new is running for office, they focus on appealing to the small but powerful elites who secretly control the country. The candidate seeks their support to rally votes and these elites ultimately decide who gets the government seat. After making several promises to them, these influential elites will then mobilize people from their regions to vote for their chosen candidate. These elites run the country and once the candidate takes power, they must repay their debt to them to prevent troubles. The candidate also cannot make major decisions the elites disagree with or they'll risk not being selected the next time or even removed. Trying to bypass these elites as a candidate to gain power is also nearly impossible unless there is a revolution to backup.

You will do well to understand that Government at it's core is always driven by political agendas and self-interest, rarely prioritizing the well-being of the citizens. Policies are crafted to gain power, control and economic dominance, exploiting and manipulating the populace without exception. In essence, the government never opposes itself. You think they care that you cannot afford your school fees? Sorry to you.

2. The Law is not here to protect you

The legal system is inherently biased and exclusively serves the interests of those in power first and foremost. You were hardly considered when the laws were being made and will scarcely be when you're up against one who is significantly superior to you in society. Laws are created to maintain order and protect the elite, hardly ever ensuring justice for the common person. This is the society we live in.

3. Money in Essence is Debt

When banks create money through loans, they get richer by essentially creating money out of nothing. You, on the other hand are negatively affected. The banks benefit from the interest they charge and this income adds to their wealth. They also charge various fees, increasing their profits further and smiling their way home. For you, taking a loan means you must repay more than you borrowed creating a cycle of financial burden. The creation of money through loans also lead to inflation as business owners increase their prices to keep up with the dollar rates thereby reducing your money's purchasing power, and If you can't repay, you risk losing your assets adding significant stress to your life.

Simply put, the system enriches banks while placing financial strain on you. Financial stability for a majority of people is a myth under this system.

4. Most Churches aren't here to save you

Most churches aren't here to save you my friend. They would rather do the opposite and feel no remorse for doing so. They focus on rituals, traditions and money rather than genuinely helping you to grow spiritually. They also work alongside the government to keep you under control. Believe me or not, that is the game. How many times have you seen or heard it on the news where these charlatans demonstrate their heinous acts under the guise of Christianity? How deep and effective has the messages you've been consuming developed your consciousness?

Instead of solely depending on these institutions, my friend seek your own path to truth and personal growth. Your spiritual journey is unique and it's important to find what truly resonates with your heart and soul and not what another man tells you in his name. Though I know that is what a majority of you would prefer - for a charlatan to piss on your head to deliver you from evil spirits or to walk on your cash for your journey to financial breakthrough.

5. Doctors are not here to ensure your health

The healthcare system is intrinsically focused on profit and doctors are a part of this system that prioritizes lucrative treatments over your health. Drugs are sold at ridiculous prices and in most cases, health practitioners secretly ensure your care is compromised. Nutrition advertisements are also compromised to ensure you keep coming to visit.

6. The school system is not designed to provide you with existential knowledge.

Of course, unless you are the most absent-minded and ignorant type, it shouldn't take a prophet to reveal this to you. Our education system is all about memorizing facts and following rules. It doesn't measure true intelligence or help you to truly understand things or think for yourself. You just spend a whole lot of time getting ready for standardized tests by learning specific answers and never really understanding the ideas behind them. This way, getting the "right" answer is more important than thinking about different viewpoints.

In your classes, creativity and critical thinking are not the main focus. You are told not to question the material or suggest new ideas. Instead, you're taught to accept information as it is and remember it for exams. Thus, only your memory skills are tested and after leaving school, you forget about 80% of what you spent years of your life to acquire; you aren't even guaranteed a reasonable job by the way.

Our schools today are set up to make sure you fit into the current society. This means it is imprinted into your coding to follow instructions, meet deadlines and stick to the rules which are important for many traditional jobs. This doesn't help you challenge the usual ways of doing things, think in new ways or seek personal growth but about making you good workers who fit into existing structures rather than becoming an empowered, enlightened person who can think critically and creatively which are the very qualities that make you a true human. It is all about control and a deliberate one at that.

7. Pharmaceutical Companies are not intended to cure you

Pharmaceutical companies are solely profit-driven businesses. They never prioritize cures that don't generate ongoing revenue. Every treatment is designed with profit in mind, not your health. Consumables are filled with toxic ingredients branded as "preservatives" in order to make sells. The bread in the store and the bread made in your oven are very different from each other. You're given packaged foods that make you weak and keep you at the doorsteps of the hospitals. The behind of almost every product is filled with ingredients you don't even relate to nor have the time to examine leaving you at the mercy of these product industries. They tell you not to eat eggs (which has been proven to be very effective and less harmful) but every advert is filled with the display of tasty noodles and Red Bull.

8. If political voting changes anything for the benefit of the many then it would have been declared illegal

The political system is structured to protect the status quo and the interests of the powerful. True systemic change through voting is impossible and would be outlawed if it posed any threat to the elite's control. The only way out is when the masses see the government for what it is and realize that they are totally on their own leading to their revolution.

9. Today's Society is fundamentally a Scam

Every aspect of modern society, from consumer culture to media narratives is designed to mislead and manipulate you. Societal norms and values are constructed entirely to benefit a few, with no regard for the majority. Fear is the driving force today. You're constantly scared into doing things you naturally wouldn't do even when you hope for a better option and you're taught to cope with it rather than to challenge or refuse to acknowledge it by going your own way else you'll be ostracized.

You spend the best years of your life living the way others expect you to live. Working a job yet having very little to show for it even after many years, tax and transportation is also deducted before you even get your salary, the government also gets a percentage from your pension and if you dare die before time, you forfeit everything. You're also billed for electricity you hardly use and a home you hardly live in yet you hardly see the results of your efforts but may not even dwell on it because you have been programmed by society to just cope with it. Your romantic relationship life is sorrowful but you don't even realize because it is normal and you just learn to cope with it. Yeye women are now the new "wife materials" in the eyes of most men who wouldn't have even considered it 30 years ago. Men are even afraid to date now and the society isn't helping matters too. Standards have dropped low and everyone is just suffering and smiling.

Loan apps are advertised everywhere, everyone is distracted by Tiktok and a lot of people now fully exist on the internet. Funny enough, the government isn't opposing these things at least it is an opportunity to keep the masses in the influence. This is a scam society and anyone who subscribes to it cannot escape the consequences it brings. But of course, for all that is listed, "you just learn to cope with it."

10. To achieve true independence, mastering critical thinking is key.

Thinking critically is a skill that can be learned, yet many people lack it. Most individuals are not self-aware and rarely engage in deep reflection. As a result, they often follow others, even when it’s not in their best interest. This is largely due to a lack of discernment and critical thinking. When we fail to see things as they are and instead view them through our desires or emotions, we make poor choices in relationships, leadership, and lifestyle, mistakenly believing these choices are the best we can achieve.

Despite not being a popular opinion, the way to break free is through practicing mindfulness and embracing critical thinking. This means learning about psychology, human existence, relationships and finance. In a world filled with information, it is very low to be ignorant especially with matters that have to do with our existence. It is important to be selective about what you accept and to make mindful, well-thought-out decisions. By mastering yourself through mindfulness and critical thinking, you can avoid being controlled by others for their own gain.

I'll leave the comments to your thoughts.

If there's anything you probably got right in all you've said, it would be this.

This is weird. Your whole post, and even emails to me are weird. Like you sat down, thought it out and decided this post was okay to send?

I am not your type of woman because:
- I hate men
- Secondary to hating men is intentionally positioning myself for a relationship.

If you went through my posts' history and had an idea of who I am as you claimed, you will know I am unrealistic to the point of believing in chance encounters only or "we were not planning on this, it just kinda happened."

You would have interacted with me on your main first. That would have been the first step in proving your "legitimacy."

But either way, I do not care for making any friendship, so I hope this post would be the last of it from you.

Do have a great life.
Thanks, you too.

Many Nigerians are frustrated with the current situation in the country. Prices of important things like food and fuel have become very high, making life difficult for a lot of people. There are also concerns that the government is not governing well or being held accountable.

I think most Nigerians want a country that works for everyone, with a government that listens to its citizens. I encourage the protests to go ahead, but with wisdom and restraint. The goal should be to find real, lasting solutions, not just cause more problems.

Wait, somethings dont add up.

1. Are you saying the scammer will order using the mark's address from the actual seller? If so, how will he order? Is he ordering and choosing pay on delivery or what? And if it is pay on delivery

2. Why would the 'Mark' not pay directly to the actual seller that has brought the merchandise to him? Shebi it is pay on delivery, and the seller has brought the item to your doorstep, so why won't you give the money directly to the person that brought you the goods
Let me re-examine the details in the text more carefully:

1. The scammer does not actually order the item from a verified seller using the victim's address. Instead, the scammer asks the victim to provide their address, claiming they will send the item.

2. The scammer then goes to a verified seller on a platform like Google and purchases the same item, but has it sent to the victim's address, not the scammer's.

3. When the item is delivered to the victim, the scammer then contacts the victim and asks them to make payment, claiming they are the original seller.

4. If the victim tries to contact the original verified seller, the scammer will block both the victim and the original seller to hide the scam.

So you're correct, the victim is not paying the actual seller directly, even though the item is delivered to them. The scammer is trying to intercept the payment before it reaches the true seller.

The advice given is for the victim to insist on meeting the seller in person to inspect the item, and to ensure payment is made directly to the verified seller, not the scammer. This would prevent the scam from succeeding.

Here is a summary of the key points from the provided video for those without data:

The video describes a new social media scam targeting people who want to make purchases online, particularly on platforms like Facebook Marketplace or Instagram. The scam works as follows:

1. The scammer posts an item for sale, such as a phone or other product.

2. When someone is interested in buying the item, the scammer requests the buyer's address, but does not ask for payment upfront.

3. The scammer then goes to a verified seller on a platform like Google and purchases the same item, using the buyer's address.

4. The scammer has the verified seller ship the item to the buyer's address, but does not inform the buyer that they are getting the item from a different seller.

5. When the buyer receives the item, the scammer will ask them to make payment, claiming it is for the original seller.

6. If the buyer tries to contact the original seller to confirm, the scammer will block both the buyer and the original seller to hide the scam.

The advice given to avoid this scam is:

1. Always insist on meeting the seller in person to inspect the item before purchase.
2. Ensure the payment is made directly to the verified seller, not the scammer.

Overall, the video warns about this new social media scam tactic and provides tips to help buyers protect themselves.
