WebmastersRe: How Can I Personal Ads Codes To My Blog by miteolu(op): 6:33pm On Jul 20, 2016
twosquare:
Please, be more explanatory, and also check your title.. Looks like it's missing the word, "add." What do you mean by personal code since you said you don't want Google ads? If I understand you, perhaps you mean ads you can control and you want yourself (on your own terms). Then, as a beginner, know that you first need exposure.. . If your site (blog) is good, gets lot of traffic, folks can advertise with you directly and pay you. I hope I'm close to your thoughts... Hopefully, others can contribute.
I have my own products which I want to display on my blog.

PoliticsSearch Out Killers Of Oyo Lawmaker And Get 5million Naira by miteolu(op): 4:54pm On Jul 18, 2016
he Governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has placed a N5million bounty on the heads of the three gunmen responsible for the gruesome murder of a member of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Gideon Aremu.

A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Communication and Strategy, Mr. Yomi Layinka, on Thursday, in Ibadan, announced the reward for any member of the public with credible information that might lead to the arrest of the criminals.
Ajimobi appealed to members of the public in possession of any useful information to immediately contact the following telephone numbers: 0802 343 1079, 0803 653 6581, with assurances that such tips would be treated in the utmost confidence.

Aremu represented Oorelope constituency in the House of Assembly until he was murdered on July 1 by three gunmen that allegedly trailed him on motorcycle.

The Governor said that he was still saddened by the ghastly incident that shattered the serenity the State had enjoyed in the past five years and would be prepared to reward anybody with clues that would assist the police to apprehend the culprits and their sponsors.
Ajimobi said, “This is to further demonstrate the government’s commitment to the ongoing investigation of the immediate and remote causes of the murder of the parliamentarian who was allegedly gunned down in front of his home in Alakia, Ibadan.
“The Governor, once again, wishes to reiterate his administration’s relentless pursuit and defence of the security of lives and properties of all citizens of Oyo State, without let or hindrance.

“The Government wishes to assure such volunteers of absolute secrecy, confidentiality and protection of the law. Please, help to find those behind the murder of Hon. Gideon Aremu so that he and his family can get justice, and on time too.”
Ajimobi promised members of the public that the police and other security agencies would not relent in their efforts at maintaining peace and orderliness, and assured the deceased family that a crack team of homicide detectives were already working hard to apprehend the suspects.
He advised residents to embrace community policing by working with law enforcement agencies to curb crimes in the society and arrest suspected criminals before they wreak havoc.

Car TalkAutomobile Assemblers Want FG To Ban Tokunbo Vechiles by miteolu(op): 4:45pm On Jul 18, 2016
To a lot of Nigerians, transportation by road still remains the most viable option, considering government’s inability to develop and harness the potentials of other means of transportation.

At a recent stakeholders’ meeting organised by the Federal Government to review the implementation of the automotive policy, automobile assemblers in the country called on government to ban the importation of used vehicles.
They further urged government to implement the remaining 35 per cent import tariff on Tokunbo vehicles coming into the country, supposedly, in line with the policy.
According to them, as a result of the continued importation of used vehicles into the country, efforts geared at improving the lot of assembling plants have not yielded the desired result. However, some have argued that the policy did not take into consideration, the purchasing power of Nigerians, who patronise used vehicles, when compared to the prohibitive cost of locally assembled and imported new vehicles.

PoliticsWhat Makes Buhari Popular In The World by miteolu(op): 4:38pm On Jul 18, 2016
The anti-corruption agenda of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration has earned him popularity among the international community, the Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Denis Guaer, has observed.

Guaer told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that the determination of Buhari to fight corruption had been “historical and commendable.
“Buhari presented the fight against corruption as his main priority objective and I think it is probably the main reason why he was elected.
“It is also the reason why he has become immediately so popular also abroad within the international community.

“Everybody is thinking this president is really willing this time to confront the problem of corruption.

“I think Buhari is really trying and trying very hard; it appears to me as a historical effort to fight corruption.’’

Guaer also decried the humanitarian crisis caused by Boko Haram insurgency in the north-eastern part of the country, saying the insurgency was partly due to corruption.

“This brings us back to the question of corruption also. In the whole northern part of Nigeria, public services are in a very bad shape.
“Education and healthcare are in very bad shape and this is a problem of governance; resources have to be rededicated to restore public services in the whole northern Nigeria.
“That is difficult now because unfortunately the revenues of Nigeria are down because of the oil price and destruction of oil pipelines,’’ he said.
He expressed concerned about reports that people were starving in Internally Displaced Persons camps, saying the whole international community must come to the aid of Nigeria.
“Concerning France, we are financing some humanitarian aid programmes with the International Organisation of Migration, International Committee of the Red Cross, Action Against Hunger and Doctors Without Borders,” he said.

RomanceSigns That You Are Dating A Boy - Omoboriowo's Blog by miteolu(op): 5:21pm On Jul 11, 2016
Some men are dating like teenagers. Dating men can be quite a challenge. It requires fine tuning to adjust with the different traits or characteristics of a man. Though it is said that women are difficult to deal with or understand, there are many things which will make you realise that even men are equally difficult to deal with or handle. In this article, we are here to share some of the signs that show you are dating a child and not a man. These kind of men can be the most difficult to handle, as they do not take things easily and let bygones be bygones.

1. He Avoids Serious Conversations: He totally avoids serious conversations which will make you realise that he is still an immature or is just trying to run away from the relationship. The last thing he would want is being confronted and he would do anything to run away from his responsibilities.

2. He Is Too Close To His Mother: This sign can totally make you feel that he is still not ready to come out of his mama's shade. If he cancels the date with you or still borrows money from his parents and does not wish to return it, these are sure-fire signs of being an immature person.

3. He Is Recklessly Impulsive: If your man is impulsive and acts first and apologises later, it is a sure sign of him being a man-child. This could mean anything from making spontaneously big purchases to doing anything at that very moment. This is a sign that can create issues in the relationship.

4. He Is Not Always Organise: This can be anything that he does. He would not be interested in picking up his clothes and is quite messy in dealing with things. He is certainly not organised and does not even bother to be one. This is another sign of being an immature.

5. No Future Plan: He only lives in the present and thinks about what's important for today. If he is not having any future plans, then it is one of the biggest signs to show that he is immature or not serious about the relationship. A mature man would think about the future as well.

6. He Is Always After Sex: Your man is a boy if all what comes to his mind is sex. Sex is number one on his daily agenda whereas you have few time to discuss. Dating is not for underage children. Your views should be above sex

PoliticsFG To Pay Ex-niger Delta Militants' Oustanding Stipend This Week by miteolu(op): 9:45pm On Jul 05, 2016
The federal government has promised to offset outstanding stipends to former militants in the Niger Delta, after a protest led to the blockade of the East West Road on Monday.

The ex-militants, under the Presidential Amnesty Scheme, in the early hours of Monday blocked the East-West road/Mbiama axis linking Bayelsa and Rivers state over the nonpayment of their five months stipends, subjecting road users to hours of traffic gridlock.
The blockade was lifted after the intervention of the commander of the Joint Military Force, Operation Delta Safe, Joseph Okojie, a Rear Admiral, who appealed to promised that the government would pay the stipends within the week.
The coordinator of the presidential amnesty programme, Paul Boroh, also said the federal government would pay ex-militants outstanding stipends this week.
The coordinator stated this in statement he issued in the wake of protests by the ex-militants over unpaid outstanding stipends.
Mr. Boroh, in the statement, explained that his office was doing everything possible to ensure that the stipends were paid as at when due.
"It will be counterproductive for ex-agitators to take to the streets at a time the federal government is making frantic efforts to address the challenges facing the programme.
"Anti-social actions, such as violent street protests, among others, could be hijacked by hoodlums to cause mayhem on innocent and law abiding citizens, to discredit the programme and embarrass the government," he said.
The amnesty coordinator also called on all ex-agitators in the Niger Delta region to shun acts that are inimical to public peace.
In his own appeal, Ebi John, Leader of the Third Phase, Niger-Delta Amnesty Programme, urged his colleagues to shun acts of violence adding that only peace can engender development.
"I am appealing to my colleagues to be patient as plans are on top gear to ensure that the stipends are paid this week," Mr. John told journalists in Yenagoa.

Romance6 Things To Do Before You Become A Father - Omoboriowo's Blog by miteolu(op): 8:03pm On Jul 04, 2016
Becoming a father can make you feel proud but the responsibility of your life doesn't end there. In fact, it starts from there. You might need to make certain changes to your life and lifestyle the moment you plan for kids. From making small sacrifices to start focusing on health, you might need to do so many things to call yourself a good father. So, let us discuss a few such things here.

Plan Your Finances
Raising kids requires lots of resources. It is therefore better to plan pregnancy when you are financially well off. Both medical and educational expenses today are skyrocketing. To provide a secure and a happy life to your children, you may need to settle down well in life.

Maintain Healthy Lifestyle
Unless you are healthy, your sperm won't be healthy. Make sure you work out regularly at least before you plan pregnancy. Visit a doctor and go for a routine checkup to know about your current health status.

Quit Smoking And Drinking
Smoking and other band habits damage your health, sperm and even your DNA. Enjoy your parties after a few years and do that sacrifice for your kids now.

Change Your Behaviour
When you raise kids, you may need to show your good side and hide your bad side in order to avoid spoiling your kids. Control your temper, develop patience and try to be sober in front of your kids. They look up to you.

Show A Good Example
Lead by example and watch your thoughts, words and deeds. Your kids try to imitate you. Therefore, be a great father and before that, be a good human being.

Develop A Family Blue print
How you want your family to be will depend on how you organise yourself. Do not forget that you are the designer of your family.

Add yours

Foreign AffairsPresident Jacob Zuma In $24million Various Corruption Scandal by miteolu(op): 1:14pm On Jun 28, 2016
Six weeks before crucial municipal elections, ANC leader and South African President Jacob Zuma has suffered another courtroom setback. Corruption charges against him, once believed buried, are resurfacing.
President Jacob Zuma has lost an appeal in which he was seeking to overturn a court ruling that reinstated hundreds of corruption charges against him.

The 783 charges of corruption, fraud and money laundering relate to a multibillion dollar arms deal arranged in the late 1990s.
An appeal against the reinstatement of the charges against Zuma was also lodged by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA). It, too, was thrown out.
Judge Aubrey Ledwaba at the North Gauteng High Court said there was "no merit" in the arguments for an appeal.
The same court had ordered a review of a decision by the NPA in 2009 to withdraw hundreds of charges against Zuma. Within weeks of this decision, Zuma was running for president. He was sworn in on May 9, 2009.
The NPA justified the decision to drop the charges by saying that phone calls recorded between officials in the administration of the then President Thabo Mbeki revealed a political conspiracy against Zuma.
Zuma's tenure has been beset by scandal. The Constitutional Court rebuked him for failing to obey the ombudswoman's order to repay government money spent on upgrading his Nkandla home. The South African treasury is set to determine this coming Tuesday how much of the 216 million rand (then $24 million, 18 million euros) he will be ordered to return.

According to report from allafrica news, Zuma survived an oppostion attempt to impeach him over the scandal because of the backing he enjoys from the ruling ANC party in parliament.

Christianity EtcNon-fasting Muslims Arrested In Northern Nigeria by miteolu(op): 5:31pm On Jun 22, 2016
Ramadan is a special month of the year for the over one billion Muslims throughout the world. It is determined by the lunar cycle and will run until July 5 this year. For Muslims it is a time for inner reflection, devotion to God and self-control.

During fasting, strict restrictions are followed. Muslims are not allowed to eat or drink during daylight hours. Smoking and sexual relations are also forbidden. At the end of the day, the fast is broken with prayer and a meal called the "Iftar."

Since Ramadan began on June 6, Kano police have deployed its men to strategic places in the state to ensure compliance with the rules of Ramadan. Those who are found to be violating the rules have been arrested and held for interrogation.

Deputy Commandant of Kano's Hisbahm, Nabahani Usman, said that those arrested would be prosecuted and be sentenced according to the law. "We hold them at Hisbah for at least two days to teach them the importance of fasting," Usman said. He added that every adult Muslim must observe the holy month.

According to Islamic teachings, fasting helps one feel compassion for those who are less fortunate and underprivileged.

Fasting is obligatory for all healthy Muslims - a test of patience and endurance
"We deem it fit and necessary to ensure that every Muslim in Kano State observe Ramadan. We have a report of people who are not complying with this important pillar of Islam; hence we mobilize our men to arrest them," Usman emphasized.

FoodThere Would Be A Hike In The Price Of Bread - National Chairman Of Master Bakers by miteolu(op): 3:42pm On Jun 22, 2016
Chief Simeon Abanulor, the National Chairman of the Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria, said there would be a hike in the price of bread “to enable bakers to remain in business”.

Abanulor said this at a news conference in Umuahia, Abia State on Friday
He said the cost of raw materials such as flour and sugar had skyrocketed and that bakers in the country had been operating at a loss.

He added: “We are helpless because the price of raw materials ranging from flour to sugar, wheat and butter have gone up.
“It is therefore imperative that for us to remain in business, we will have to increase the price of bread.”
The chairman explained that the Association at a meeting with flour producers appealed to them to review the price of flour downward.
Abanulor said: “However, they told us that there is nothing they can do because the Federal Government is not giving them foreign exchange and that they source it by themselves at the parallel market.
“They maintained that they cannot sell below their cost price.”
Abanulor then explained why it had been difficult for bakers to produce bread with cassava flour.
According to him, the Federal Government is yet to provide bakers with an improver called Enzyme that will enhance the cassava flour.
He said: “You cannot bake cassava bread without an improver.
“It will not work.
“Our challenge is that we reached an agreement with the Federal Government that they are going to give us an improver.
“There are lots of potential in cassava flour but the problem is that government cannot provide us with improver.”

SportsConfusion Over Keshi's Burial In Nigeria by miteolu(op): 3:34pm On Jun 22, 2016
The Onyeogu Family Union Ukpologwu Illah, Delta State has stated, in categorical terms, that the remains of late former national team coach, Stephen Okechukwu Keshi will be buried at his ancestral home in Illah.
In a terse letter to the family of late wife of Stephen Keshi, the Aburime Family, made available to Sports Vanguard, the union frowned at suggestions that the former Hawks of Togo coach be buried in Benin.

In the letter the Union said, "The issue that has caused us much anxiety is the proposal by the Aburime Family that they wish their in-law, our son, to be buried in Benin.
"As it is in Delta State, Edo State including the Ewu Kingdom and indeed Nigeria, most men are buried in their hometown on their demise.
"We wish to reiterate our demand as earlier stated at the meeting of 17th June, that our son Steven Okechukwu Keshi be buried at his house in his hometown Ogbe Onyeogu Ukpologwu Illah in line with his last wish before his demise. And this we must state is in conformity with Illah tradition, the Ewu tradition and the Chieftaincy institution which he willingly subscribed to during his lifetime," the Ogbe Onyeogu family stated.
"We believe that an issue of this nature needs no further elaboration as it is customary in Nigeria that most persons, particularly high profile personalities are buried in their hometown, to do the otherwise may portend some consequences in future going by the Illah culture and tradition. The recent internment of his colleague and friend , Shuaibu Amodu in Okpella, Edo State is a leading example," the union stated.
