PoliticsGovernor Ambode Recruits Young Graduate Into LATMA by miteolu(op): 10:42am On Jun 22, 2016
I saw some young graduates this morning around Ikeja - Oshodi, Lagos putting on white and black. Some LATMA officials conducting traffic induction for them. I was driving and unable to snap.

If this is true, I think is a welcome idea that all these Old tugs calling themselves LATMA could be replaced with young graduates.

Some months ago, Ambode sacked some bad eggs in LATMA, I know is coming to a systematic approach to face-off more.

Although, if the graduates recruited ones are not well monitor they may follow foot-steps of current LATMA.

My take is we may not need too much LATMA on the roads if;

1. Bads roads are rehabilitated;
2. There are best alternative routes; and
3. NURTW caution there men and support 'No Traffic Agenda' of Ambode.

Romance8 Signs You Are Happily Married By Omoboriowo's Blog by miteolu(op): 3:51pm On Jun 21, 2016
8 Signs You Are Happily Married
To know you are happily married you need to put these 8keys test on your marriage.

1. KISSES

Your husband greets you with a kiss when he comes home from work. It's not a run-of-the-mill, quick, peck-on-the-cheek kind of kiss. No. It's a body-hugging, lips-to-lips kind of kiss. The lingering type that lets you know - without a doubt - he's glad to be home with you once again. A sure sign he's happily married.

2. CONTACTS

When your husband goes away on business, he contacts you every day and lets you know he misses you. A husband who is happily married genuinely misses his wife when he's away. He wants to be with you. He can't wait to get home to you. He says endearing things on the phone when he calls. And he means every word of it. He is 100% faithful to you always. And you know it.

3. "I LOVE YOU'S"

Both of you exchange the simple word 'I love you' .He tells you he loves you. He says it every day. And you say it back. It never gets old. He's not like the husband whose wife complained after several years of marriage, "You don't tell me you love me;" and who replied, "I told you when we were married, and if it ever changes, I'll let you know." That's not how a devoted, happily married man operates. He will tell you he loves you because he wants you to know it daily. He loves saying it because he feels it deeply. And he knows it matters to you to hear the words.

4. HELPING HAND

Both material and financial help. He helps around the house. He wants to lighten your load and do his share, even more than his share when you're not feeling well. He's a willing partner in the business of making your home an inviting place to be. And he teaches your children to do the same. He gets it that raising the kids isn't just your job; it's his too, one he's willing to share because he loves you and them. In other words, he's an active participant in making home life happy for his family.

5. COMPLIMENTS

You compliment eachother. When your husband looks at you and sees what you are doing. He's paying attention. You catch him eyeing you at different times. He can't help it. He's smitten with you. He never tires of looking at you. He thinks you're beautiful, no matter what changes your body may have gone through. He doesn't see the flaws that you see. Both of you blinded by love.

6. COMFORTING

He holds you when you cry. When heartache and disappointment cause your tears to flow, he's there for you. He tries his best to understand what you're going through. He's not always perfect at it, but he tries to comfort you during your hard times. If you are wise, you will welcome his comforting.

7. OPEN-HEART SHARING

You share dreams and sorrows together. It's not as easy for him to do this as it is for you. Wife needs to know she can tell you these things without you falling apart, and that you will keep her confidence. When she's willing to open up her heart and tell you her plans and hopes for her career, he knows you will listen and care. She knows you are her personal cheerleader. Your husband also knows his love for you is deep enough that you will understand and want to know about his disappointments. A happily married man can confidently do this.

8. SEX

The only thing you uniquely share with your spouse that you don’t share with anyone else is sex. So sex is the only thing that sets you and your spouse apart from simply being roommates. It’s a vital part of marriage. Not only does sex set you and your spouse apart from simply being roommates, it also requires a deeper level of communication that you don’t normally do with just anyone. Sex requires you to talk to each other about intimate, emotional things.

SportsSerena Williams Olympic Records by miteolu(op): 2:07pm On Jun 21, 2016
It was back in 2000 in Sydney that sister act Venus and Serena Williams won the first of their three Olympic women’s doubles titles, with older sibling Venus also taking gold in the singles to crown a remarkable year in which she won Wimbledon and the US Open.

Serena, who turned 19 in the Australian capital, had one Grand Slam singles title to her name by that stage: the 1999 US Open. Her list of career achievements would grow significantly in the years that followed.

In establishing herself at the very top of the WTA rankings, Serena completed a Career Grand Slam by 2003, having won the four biggest titles in the game. Meanwhile, she and her sister achieved the unique feat of contesting four consecutive Grand Slam finals between 2002 and 2003, Serena winning on each of those occasions.

Forced to miss Athens 2004 due to an injury she picked up that summer, Serena was reunited with Venus at Beijing 2008, where they sealed a second doubles gold by beating Spain’s Anabel Medina and Virginia Ruano Pascual 6-2 6-0 in the final.

TV/MoviesWhy Big Brother Africa May Not Be Coming Back by miteolu(op): 1:51pm On Jun 21, 2016
By now you possibly have noticed that for a second year running, hugely popular pan-African show, Big Brother Africa (BBA), is not happening in 2016.
According to a statement from Mnet, the show is still under evaluation and thus not part of the upcoming programming schedule.

But other schools of thought say the show is not coming back because of financial issues. It is said that with dwindling ratings, the show lost advertisers and it became hard to run an expensive show.
Wasike told The Observer, "I think the show has failed because it failed to have a follow- up program that would have the previous contestants be looked upon as people that society would aspire to be. When you are out, it's back to being in a jungle, yet you have been put up there in public."

In his view, people did not see the value of actually being in the house, thus the failure to get suitable candidates. Other contestants, however, have Big Brother to thank for transforming their lives. Gaetano was catapulted to continental TV fame thanks to BBA.
At the moment, two things are certain: a full rebrand and strategizing of the show; if not, then the station would have killed the goose that laid the golden eggs. For now, South Africa has had national seasons of its own Big Brother, as has Angola.

Foreign AffairsPresident Robert Mugabe Steps Down by miteolu(op): 11:58am On Jun 21, 2016
President Robert Mugabe told thousands of children attending celebrations to mark the Day of the African Child in Harare that he is on his way out and wants his successors to do a better job.
Mugabe the only leader Zimbabwe has known since independence 36 years ago -- has used all manner of tactics to cling to power, including alleged violence against political opponents and electoral fraud.

A few weeks ago, Mugabe (92), declared he wanted to stay on while First Lady Grace Mugabe told the recent Zanu PF million-man-march that "he will rule from the National Heroes Acre".

Constitutionally, Mugabe can run for one more term, which will end in 2022. But officially opening the 24th Children's Parliament yesterday, the veteran ruler admitted his days were numbered.
"Once upon a time, I was like you. But I am not like you anymore. I am on my way out," he said.

"But when I look over my shoulder, I would want to see bold and courageous men. I want to look behind and say those coming will be better than me."
"That is what we always fight to do. To be better than our parents, initially be like them but strive to be better."
Meanwhile, children who spoke at the occasion painted horrifying images of what they go through in their daily lives, especially their rural counterparts.
This was after Youth minister Patrick Zhuwao had told Mugabe that his government's policies showed a deep commitment to addressing the needs of young people.
"The policies of our government are addressing the various needs of our children," he said.
"Our youth must be given space to fight for Zimbabwe's economic independence."
The government was called upon to take the Child Parliament seriously and not treat it like "a Christmas Day".
"The government should do something to help children in the rural areas," he said.

CelebritiesMy Boyfriend Wants His Ex Girlfriend To Move In And Live With Us by miteolu(op): 6:20pm On Jun 20, 2016
I am a girl of 25yrs, I have a boy friend whom I met when he had a fight and broke up with his previous girl friend. Due to the love we had for each other we moved in together and things were going on fine.

We now stay abroad and still live together. Recently he told me that this his ex had just travelled to the same country where we now live and she has an accommodation problem and needs his help and that he wants to help her by letting her stay with us for the mean time.

Very reluctantly and after much persuasion from him I agreed but since the ex moved in with us things have been a bit tense and she has been acting strange but my guy told me that I should not worry because he doesn’t have any feelings for her anymore.
My guy claims that he just wants to help because this is not our country and that no one knows tomorrow but I don’t feel comfortable staying with her in the same house. I am confused right now and I don’t know what to do pls I need ur advice, thanks.

SportsWhy Mourinho Wants To Sack Ryan Giggs by miteolu(op): 2:14pm On Jun 18, 2016
Ryan Giggs will turn down the opportunity to join Jose Mourinho’s backroom team at Manchester United, according to reports.
Giggs, who worked as an assistant manager under Louis van Gaal, could end his 29-year-long association with the club following the Dutchman’s sacking, though United are yet to offer confirmation on his future.

Mourinho is looking at Ryan Giggs as a threat. Giggs was employed with the hope to manage Manchester United in future. Giggs 42-year-old worked as right hand man with Moyes during his 10-month spell in charge and was also assistant to Van Gaal.

This situation is what Mourinho is not comfortable with.

Is marriage now run like NGO?
Nairaland General6 Things To Do When You Are Broke by miteolu(op): 5:50pm On Jun 17, 2016
If you’re broke. . .have no money. . .barely making ends meet or feel like you’re never getting ahead this teaching is for you.
Are you so broke that when you go to MAMA PUT. . .you can’t even order the food your way.
Are you so broke. . .no thief wants to steal your identity.
Are you so broke. . .you spend more time praying in front of the ATM than you do church?
Are you so broke. . .that you’ve robbed Peter to pay Paul and now you’re hitting James and Andrew.
Just a little humor. . .to begin this teaching.

Before going any further. . .let’s define the wordbroke which according to dictionary.com it means: “without money, penniless.”
Remember it’s not where you’re at. . .it’s where you’re going and that’s why I felt led to write 6 things to do when you’re broke.

1. Look for help in the right place - Worrying about money can definitely leave you “weary, tired and exhausted.” The nearest neighour may be your benefactor.

2. Figure out why you don’t have any money - Almost everyone who lives in financial bondage got there because they “tuck out” more than they “tuck in.”In our effort to figure out why you don’t’ have any money. . .let me ask you several questions.
Are you spending more money that what you’ve got?
Are you living today off money you expect to receive tomorrow? ect.

3. Stop playing the blame game
The most dangerous game a person can play. . .is the blame game. . .where nobody wins. . .everybody loses. . .and you never solve the problem. Stop blamming anybody Even if it is somebody else’s fault. . .GET OVER IT.

4. Start doing something. . .regardless of what it is.
Every moment you spent talking about how broke you are. . .is a moment you’re not doing something positive to change your economic environment.

5. Determine what you can live without- If you aren’t keeping up with your money, it will find places to go and you will end up short.
Once you do your “expense tracking”. . .you can determine where to stop or reduce the amount of money you’re spending.

6. Stop Addictions. There are people who say they just enjoy walking the mall and window shopping. If you have a problem or challenge not spending money when you go window shopping, then my advice to you is simple. . .STAY HOME. Some people are addicted to what they cannot afford when they are broke.
