Yes. Cat get depressed when after birth they can't find their kittens anymore. I own one myself and it happens that while still grooming a set of newly born kittens, my sister gave out all the kittens. The cat was so depressed and searching for them everywhere around the house. I felt it and nearly wanted to fight my sister about it. The cat nipples were all visibly swollen and no kittens to suck them. The pain and suffering from the cat was indirectly affecting me cos it was my beloved cat. From that time, nobody dares give out any kitten without my knowledge as I don't sell them for whatever reasons.
