Shimasparkle: ABU has two campuses as we might all knw already,the main campus in samaru and the other one in kongo,when u talk of high socialization,u'll prefer the samaru campus wch is very large and busy,its just like its own developed community but when you talk of a condusive reading environment u'll prefr the kongo campus wch is nt so large,its calm,well organised,beautiful,neat,im sure thats becus it houses just two faculties(law and administratio)unlike the main campus,mind you,both campuses are beautifull but they have their obvious difference and you'll love it,C'mon,why the rush,we're al gonna get thre and we'll c 4 ourselves ryt??

I don't think the school will conduct its post ume exam with the ASUU strike still on...so our prayer now should be that the strike should be called off and a better result in the post ume and the most important one,ADMISSION...but meanwhile,please don't let us make this thread a boring one,we can discuss things,not book alone ooo!!!

I was once in ur shoes too. Wanted to study law but was admitted for English. Its a good course,but I know you will prefer law to it. It might be difficult for you to like the course now,but you can still take jamb again if you like or study law when you're through studying English. Best of luck bro! N.B English isn't an easy course mind you!

I hate wearing the I'd card too until I was going thru walk-way to the bank one morning and security men arrested 8 others and myself, waiting for us to be 10 before taking us to their office. Come and see begging of the highest order...since that day...ID card is always on my neck, except in the hostel and church.

lol....my was even by the police officer @ the gate...he was like I should report to the security post the following morning that I'll face the panel because I refused to use my I.d...it was even in the afternoon,you can imagine

L Blessing: It's nice to see someone from my department here. My brother, bring God as you're coming in o cos there's one lecturer who nearly made me go to Redemption camp. The guy is the headache of that department. Hope I'm not scaring you . I don't want to say much for my GP sake, who knows he might be a nairalander =D . 100lvl 1st semester is by God's grace but you'll survive

lol....am sure I know who that lecturer is. I escaped him after 100L,dint take his course in 200L and hopefully till I graduate.

It's not compulsory to put on ur I.D CARD outside the skul premises but u must hang it when u get to the gate "if you no want make gateman use u shine" and during exams ur i.d card na your pass to enter exam hall

I remember the day I forgot to wear my I.d card when I got to the school. The security had to tell me to get down and they delayed me and seized my I.d card.. I just don't like the idea of wearing the I.d card always

Your classes are very conducive, I always go there to read on my own so much that my friends think I have a boyfy there. Everytime I feel the need to relax, I just go there, pack my hair, stretch my legs, plug my charger and munch at my toast bread while I read. But don't worry, they're constructing our own lecture theatre so we'll stop coming to that your Faculty that somborri can't even see scotch egg to buy

Gud evening, guy. I'm very obsessed reading ur comments. It is very engaging, inviting and iglimiratious. To avoid being irrational, I need ur take about somebody who is fervidly, avidly and heartily interested in learning English Language. The guy wants to be a bombastic speaker and writer. What should he do? Is reading only novels enough for him? He is not good at punctuating. Kindly advise the guy!

to become a writer,it involves being creative in thinking and writing also,learning new words also isn't a bad idea but there are certain rules that must be followed in writing process and some writing skills also...I'll just advice the person to read on certain writing skills online if he isn't a student of English language...in speaking also,he has to be good in his intonation of words,i.e rising and falling tone and should know what syllable is stressed in a given word. With that,he'll be making progress with his speaking skills with good pronunciation of words.
