Boko Haram has spilled out of the forests and villages of northern Nigeria and into the cross hairs of the U.S. military. Nearly 100 American military personnel are headed to the Central African nation of Cameroon, with another 200 expected to follow in the near future. Using drones to gather intelligence, they will help their counterparts in Cameroon monitor the growing threat from the Islamic terrorist group as it expands its bloody reign out of its stronghold in Nigeria, which the U.S. would not aid because of the Nigerian government's abysmal record of human rights violations and corruption. “It’s more palatable to work with Cameroon and other countries in the region, than with Nigeria, but the intel gathered will likely end up in their hands as well,” Scott Stewart, director of tactical analysis for geo-political intelligence firm Stratfor, told FoxNews.com. “The corruption of the Nigerian military helped recruitment for Boko Haram and their incompetence has helped even more.” “The corruption of the Nigerian military helped recruitment for Boko Haram and their incompetence has helped even more.” It is not the first time U.S. military aid denied to Nigeria, where Boko Haram has as many as 9,000 fighters, has instead been supplied to its neighbors. In May, President Obama first pledged $35 million worth of indirect military and defense support services to Chad, Niger and Mali. While the U.S. did conduct some military training with Nigeria in the months following Boko Haram's high-profile kidnapping of nearly 300 Christian schoolgirls in April, 2014, relations between the two nations have since been strained, in part because of Washington's skepticism that Abuja was doing enough to fight Boko Haram. The initial 90 personnel being sent to Cameroon will set up what is known as a Base Operating Support Integrator, which includes master planning, collecting and prioritizing of support requirements, as well as funding support and providing force protection. The BOS-I will provide support through drone missions to gather intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance throughout the region. “The results of these [drone] flights will better enable African partners to secure their borders against violent [and] illegal activities disrupting our common desire for stability in the region,” Pentagon spokeswoman and U.S. Army Lt. Col. Michelle Baldanza told FoxNews.com. “Most importantly, all information collected by US unarmed remotely piloted aircraft is used to support international counter-violent extremist organization operations.” Stewart adds that for now, the BOS-I will provide all intelligence gathered from the drone missions to the military forces of Cameroon and other countries in the region, in an effort to stay one step ahead of the terrorist army. “It’s not combat troops that are being sent there,” he said. “Those being sent will gather Intel and likely brief the Cameroon government, as well as, others in the region.” Boko Haram, whose name translates to "Western education is forbidden," has pledged allegiance to ISIS and changed its name to “Wilayat Gharb Afriqiya,” but its reach has not extended far from northern Nigeria. Originally, Boko Haram had strongholds in cities located along the northern border in Nigeria’s Borno State, but members were forced into hiding in thick wooded areas, such as the Sambisa Forest. From there, they have sneaked across the border into Cameroon and Chad and carried out ISIS-style bombings, often using female captives as suicide bombers. “A lot of what has transpired was facilitated by the Nigerian military,” Stewart points out. “They forced them out of the town and into hiding. The good news is that it appears that they have not gained any foothold in these other countrie www.foxnews.com/world/2015/10/16/cameroon-recon-us-troops-to-nigerian-border-to-monitor-boko-haram/

President Muhammadu Buhari was on Upfront with Mehdi Hasan on Al Jazeera today and the retired general was roasted like suya on a dusty road in his hometown of Daura. Buhari is a one-trick pony with depth-free answers to all questions – anti-corruption, security, relocating the army command to Maiduguri and so on. He tries to stick to that script and ends up not answering the questions or the follow-up. Hasan asked Buhari if he could defeat Boko Haram by December as he claimed. He told the president that over 1,000 people have died since he was elected and that things were not getting better. All Buhari could offer was that “we are being honest about it”. He then claimed that Boko Haram are now restricted to Sambisa Forest and that they would be finished after the rainy season. If the insurgents are like Fred Astaire and prefer “dancing in the rain”, the president didn’t quite explain. He was asked about how he knocked the former president for being unable to rescue the Chibok girls and he said he was willing to negotiate to ensure their rescue. He wasn’t quite clear on what he would negotiate with, money or prisoners. It was clear that the president had been informed about the need for negotiation, but not briefed on the intricacies of the matter. Mehdi Hasan: has form in embarrassing Nigerian officials The president dropped the ball on the questioning around human rights abuses by the military. He claimed that he had not received the report from Amnesty International. He was then told that the report was in the public domain. He stuck to the script, only to be told that it was not a new report. A proactive president would have asked to be given the report and then read it and take appropriate action to investigate. It was clear that the president didn’t care about human rights abuses by the military. The default position of people in this situation is to deny knowledge. The biggest embarrassment was when Hasan showed he had done his homework by questioning Buharia on his comments about Sharia in 2001. Buhari advocated the total impostion of Sharia law, which is what Boko Haram are about. The president tried to claim that Boko Haram are not about Islam, but Hasan was having none of it. He repeated the question to Buhari whether he supported the imposition of Sharia Law. When pressed to answer the question, Buhari almost lost his rag. The president ducked the question and said he couldn’t impose it. He never said anything about whether he supported it. His silence on this was very revealing. for full video visit http://www.naijiant.com/videos/mehdi-hasan-messes-up-buhari/

tobimillar:Am very sure, you saw were I stated that i discovered this since 2008, what ur saying is I should go online copy about 5-10 different links come here and post so that you can read, before what am saying can be considered truth abi? keep waiting. Only what I will tell you is this, write down about 5-8 points I gave above, then go to Youtube download various video clips, go to google read different articles, then I know you have sound sence of reasoning and judgement, that's all. Please do me a favour, come back to this post and tell us what you think. p |
PhockPhockMan:u must stuupiid, think I have time for rubish? |
TheOnlyWiseMan:I discovered this truth since 2008 though late, I made a research on this when a friend told me then that 9/11 story was an arrangeee. after a hot argument I went into research, downloaded different clips of the attacks, read some secret coded sites and broadcast, honestly i became shocked to my bone marrow. The engineers that built the PENTAGON showed how the PENTAGON was constructed, and that nothing can bring it down that easy. Also, these buildings has automatic missile repellant, that automatically strikes down what so ever that is coming towards it, but the missile refused functioning that fateful day. thirdly, when u watch the clips you will observe what we call a free fall, which is an abnormal behaviour. because even if the PENTAGON was to fall not a free fall. it aught to have fallen beat by beat within a good period of time, not just falling like a piece of cake, does it mean there is no ion steels, and pillar in the building? Again, when u search for the actual plane that was allegedly hijacked, it has windows meaning it is a passenger plane, but when you watch the other clips of when the plane was about flying into PENTAGON that one has no windows, thou it looks similar, but they aren't the same, the later look a bit like a war plane. finally but not the least, if you listen attentively when the plane hit PENTAGON definitely you will hear a continues strange explosions which is definitely not from PENTAGON. finally, watch the clips of the falling you will observe 2 strange things; 1.) a complete free fall of a building of that magnitude 2.) you will observe a chalky smoke, whitish in colour, instead of natural mixture of colour to show different materials used in the building. When you research US president's reaction when he was told about the so called attack, instead of panicking, he showed less concern for hours before leaving from were he went visit some school children. The falling of PENTAGON was induced likewise the Synagogue of TB Joshua. All this things are verifiable. for a start go to google research clips of free falling building and natural falling building. WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is sending 300 U.S. troops, along with surveillance drones, to Cameroon to bolster a West African effort to counter the Nigerian militant Islamist group Boko Haram, U.S. officials said on Wednesday. In a notification to Congress, President Barack Obama said an advance force of about 90 military personnel began deploying on Monday to Cameroon, with the consent of the Yaounde government. The troops will "conduct airborne intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations in the region," Obama said. "These forces are equipped with weapons for the purpose of providing their own force protection and security, and they will remain in Cameroon until their support is no longer needed." U.S. officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the troops would provide intelligence to a multi-national task force being set up to fight Boko Haram and composed of troops from Nigeria, Niger, Cameroon, Chad and Benin. Boko Haram, which wants to carve out an Islamist caliphate and has allied itself to Islamic State, earlier this year stepped up cross-border attacks on Nigeria's neighbors. On Sunday, two female suicide bombers killed nine people in the town of Mora in Cameroon's Far North region, employing a tactic increasingly favored by Boko Haram. The American officials said the U.S. soldiers would deploy initially to the city of Garoua in northern Cameroon, not far from the Nigerian border. The force will include Predator drones for surveillance, they said. The White House said the move was not in response to any changed assessment of threat in the region. The United States has no combat troops in Africa, but has been increasing support to allies in the region battling Boko Haram.
