Politics › Re: How Can Nigeria Produce An Ibo President? by Mogidi: 1:29pm On Apr 23, 2015
It was not the political machinations of the SW that produced Obasanjo, SW has Babangida to thank for making him president.

What has the north (who boast more presidents than any region) achieved?

Tell us how many presidents the Yorubas have produced. (second biggest tribe)

Wow!!
Seems like someone somewhere is no longer stockpiling arms for bokoharam, its of no use any more.
They're busy sharing the spoils of war.

Buhari could do with a Southern style "boko haram", if they made the country ungovernable for you we make it ungovernable for them.

Only joking, an eye for an eye would make us all blind.

Let him govern and let Babangida and his friends do the needful like they did in the past. grin grin grin

If it has not dawned on you till this moment, your moniker is now been looked upon with pity and wholesome disdain

Owing to your penchance for pettiness

There is no way Tinubu would ever lose out in nominating very brilliant and astute individuals into the new cabinet

You should quit be bitter and sorrowful
[/s]

I loathe the day my moniker would be looked on or thought of as nothing but a pain in the back for APC and its supporters.
Am not here to please you, I thought I made that clear with my usual choice of words.
Seems am not odious enough for some people, your point is taken Mr Sooroptimist1.

Gbawe:
Sore loser. Your life must be one big concoction of bitterness, underachievement and frustration. You are the illiterate if you cannot understand that Buhari's academic qualification was never in doubt. You are not even ashamed your President and ruling Party behaved like a gang of scammers just to retain power they don't deserve. If you don't like the new President and government then feel free to move to Xenophobia-ravaged areas of South Africa. Undemocratic nuisance.
Same way your life was a concoction of spite and hate for the couple of years PDP was in power.
Suggesting I relocate to a different country because we have an ignominious president who'd likely be booed outta office like his last attempt, is silly.
The only time I would consider emigrating would be when your region becomes self sufficient in cocoa production and no longer depends on my region for its needs.
Bring it on Pa Gbawe, let me expose your craftily patented persona of liberalism when in fact you're nothing but a bigot parading as progressive.
Am glad you threw out decorum to behave like the keyboard warrior you are, seems you've become one of the latest unfortunate victim of the mystery illness currently ravaging your region.

Your illiterates achievement shall be assessed after 4yrs
Some might not be willing to wait 4yrs, remember his ignominious exit last time he tried governance and macro-economics.

Seems Tinubu lost out.

He was expecting Mrs Remi Tinubu to become the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.

Why not central bank governor eh, mr frog eyes?

What has Nigeria become since being ruled by a Doctorate degree holder? huh
Your question would have sounded right if you had asked what Nigeria would become governed by illiterates.

The court may have struck it off but can't strike it off our memory.

Nigeria is now: A country governed by an illiterate and chosen by illiterates, sad, sad, sad.

It would be painful to watch the mantle of leadership change.

Seeing my beloved country leaving "Goodluck" and embracing change or "badluck" would really be painful.

Anyway I hope I'm proved wrong, am willing to give Buhari a chance nevertheless.

All good and well, but I beseech u in this season of reconciliation to give him a chance and d benefit of doubt.
I like some others is not comfortable with some of d men around him and believe me many are also ready to expose and bring to justice some of APC bigwigs found yo be as corrupt as d many PDP stalwarts that held d reins of power.
GMB I feel won't spare or protect anyone to face d judicial process with sufficient evidence. It would also help free him from the patronage and reward system that his victory may necessarily demand.
We can only hope, trust in him and pray for him and positively criticise him when d need dies arise. I doubt he is averse to positive criticism.
You said a lot of sensible things in your post but as an ardent supporter of GEJ, the urge to play down his govt is overwhelming.
Remember we belong in the opposition now, you should expect us to ridicule most of the things he does or will be doing.
As I said at the beginning of this reply you made a lot of sense in your post.

doctokwus:
PDP particularly with Jonathan at the helm was incapable of building Nigeria. Its the naked truth and a lot of his atrocities and sheer incompetence would be revealed after May 29.
There are a few good men in PDP just are bad eggs in APC, but Nigeria has a once in a generation opportunity with GMB to reset this nations trajectory.
l doubt if GMB can right all the wrongs in 4yrs but what should not be in doubt is him being sent to set a benchmark of what is required of a leader and how a nation should be governed to achieving its rightful path towards development and in the comity of nations.
We all want a nation to be proud of, if Buhari was to deliver I'd sing his praise till eternity, I have a lot of reservations nonetheless.

We gave GEJ benefits of the doubt and only withdrew our support when he proved to be incompetent.

So give GMB the benefits too.
I'd give him a chance to prove himself but am not excited about the "change" slogan.
A man who couldn't better himself in 30yrs is not about to make the lives of 160million people buoyant.
Still we intend giving him a chance to prove himself.
