2016 surely came off to a good start as Pepsi ambassadors Tiwa Savage, Seyi Shay and Wizkid gave Lagosians the time of their lives at the recently concluded One Lagos Fiesta. The event which ran from December 27th – 31st, held simultaneously in 5 cities across Lagos – Badagry, Epe, Ikorodu, Agege, and Victoria Island.

Hosted by comedians like Gbenga Adeyinka and AY, the event also featured performances from Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, Olamide, Iyanya, Dammy Krane, 2face idbia, Darey, Zaina, Tony Tetuila, Sasha, Oritsefemi,and several others. Nollywood stars, Odunlade Adekola and Annie Idibia also made an appearance.

Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, also made a special appearance, commending efforts of the sponsors in helping the state to promote unity, entertainment and the spirit of celebration for a year well spent. During the fiesta, Lagosians were also entertained by a Pepsi roadshow, fun games, and exciting giveaways.

Rising Afro Pop star Kiss Daniel has reacted to the 2015 Headies awards which saw him lose to Reekado Banks in the next rated act category.
It was a night of drama and excitement, from the venue of the show to social media, as fans responded to what they felt was an unfair awards show for the category of the next rated act.
But Kiss Daniel has responded to the entire incident with an open letter. He appears unfazed by everything as he wrote thanking God and his fans for everything.
He promised not to let his fans down for all their love, support and inspiration.

“When I opened my social media accounts this morning, it was humbling for me to see that so many people believe that I deserve recognition for the work I was able to do last year by the grace of God. But like Thomas a Kempis famously wrote; “Man proposes, but God disposes”. To see that fans across different social audiences appreciate the efforts I put into making my music is one I will never look down upon, no award beats that, and I hope to be able to repay this confidence in good time.
“My fans have been the most amazing source of inspiration for me, and I promise never to let you down. From the days when I was nobody in this industry, to song after song that you have helped become hits, I say God bless you for all the support. To be honest, it was quite heartbreaking to find out that I did not get the particular recognition I so much craved, but I am excited that it only means I need to work harder, and that 2016 will be a bigger year for me.
“In 2015, some of the awards I won with your support include; ‘Best New Act’ at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA), Next Rated Artiste of The Year at the Extreme Awards in Benin Republic, AFRIMA Awards Most Promising Act in Africa. Apologise: Never be too proud to say “sorry.” Remember, your relationship should be more important to you than having the last word or being “right.” Say sorry when you know you have wronged your partner and solve all issues you might have.
