And I am telling you that those are lies. I know lots and lots of NLNG GTs that got hired without knowing anyone. I’m talking loads. And note, NLNG is not a govt job. It’s a private company

Yeah, I took a gamble quitting my job, but it was a calculated gamble at the time. They were going to downsize at my work place and I decided I could take one for the team.
It is all good though, I got a decent severance package and I kept someone's neck off the chopping block.
It is just that this got me really worried honestly, no comms, no reason as to why the delay, just hope. And hope is a currency that burns fast when there is no fuel to keep it alive.
I guess another issue is I am not sure what to do. I don't put in 100% applying for new jobs because, well Chevron. I can't start working and 2 months in, leave for new place. It goes against what I stand for.

Anyways, thank you both for making me feel heard. I wish they could just be more transparent. I need that closure for real

It is their ATS programming then. Send an holding mail to all candidates after some months of being on the system. Why not just send rejection mails if they have moved on.

Yes disqualification. Probably they find out something. The person status on the career site is now showing process complete. The guy don't really know what happened but am suspecting they find out that he arrange his CV differently to apply for more than one position.

Which position did the person that got hold on mail apply for?

They don't always use cut-off marks. I think they're employing the percentile approach for this recruitment. Picture it like this: Chevron contracts dragnet to deliver the 10, 20, etc best candidates for interviews. Dragnet proceeds to administer tests to determine the 10 best. If the highest score is 98/100 and there are 10 candidates with that score, they all go through and the rest go home.

But what if the majority of candidates don’t meet the 80% set by Dragnet? Don’t you think the cut-off mark might be adjusted?

What was the duration for those who got the background check after the interview?
Is the background check the last stage and how long does it take to be concluded?
Has offer letters been rolled out to those who did interviews in Jan/Feb?
Someone at the top had earlier asked for interview tips for those yet to have theirs, anyone can please share

If at this stage in the third week of January Chevron has not sent invites to more than one or two people who put in for over 12 advertised roles. People who wrote tests in November, then we need to start removing our minds small small. Even the poported invite is very suspicious. How can someone be invited for an interview that has a date span of three days. With no specific time of appearance.
