Christianity EtcGod's Silence by Moresalt(op): 8:59pm On Jun 03
God's silence and patience can be super dangerous against our secret wickedness and sin.

God may permit Wickedness or Wrong doing for a seemingly long time, but surely not forever.

He might even let the evil doer believe that he's very strong and powerful, getting away with all his evil deeds without being caught or punished, but He is only "laughing" as his calamity draws nearer and nearer like day break.

And very sudden a great disaster hits, or at once he's no more.

Rom.12.19 - Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

Heb.10.31 - It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Christianity EtcThe Reasons I Don't Chase Anymore by Moresalt(op): 8:26pm On Jun 03
There are at least two reasons why I don't chase Money, Material things, People/Women and the things of this world in general even though I still get the same pulls, passions and temptations that are common to men.

But by Grace I fight Daily...

First, quite early in life what's called the fear of God, the reference of the Most High, came upon me the hard way. That's after rejecting it the easy way many times before that.

Second, the Lord has taught me to focus more on what's GIVEN from above, not just what's passing or unsure.

Therefore, I don't chase people or things of the world. I Receive from the Father, and I let the passing things fade away.

That's the difference between what's permanent and what's temporary. What's from above and what's from beneath.

John.6.37 - All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.

Christianity EtcHelp Of Man Is Useless by Moresalt(op): 8:34pm On May 14
Apparently, many still haven't understood this truth about not putting confidence in a human being who can just disappoint or fail anytime.

Why put your trust in a man who has but a breath in his nostrils, and may just fall down and die at any moment?

Ps.60.11 - Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is USELESS.

Christianity EtcNot Getting Your Own Wisdom From Another Man by Moresalt(op): 8:31pm On May 12
A person nearby was asking for some "personal wisdom" of mine lately. Then I tried explaining to him that true wisdom comes from God, seeking Him (not necessarily by asking another person).

(Mind you, the Lord had severally warned me through dreams and other means to beware of this particular person; that his heart is desperately evil but still struggles to behave like a friend on the outside)

And Mr A's personal wisdom from God won't likely work for Mr B. This is where we get it wrong.

There are different versions of wisdom in the world. But the real one comes from Jesus.

Compare to Christ, I'm still pretty dumb that's why I still constantly pray, read the Bible, listen to good messages and especially listen to hear His voice for myself directly.

Still got a long way—not sure I qualify to teach others the wisdom only Jesus can give to a person.

A person who follows the Lord's ways in truth has the right to ask and receive...

Jas.1.5 - If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Matt.7.8 - For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Christianity EtcA Quick Test by Moresalt(op): 7:55pm On May 02
One of the quickest and surest tests to check whether we are getting closer to God or the devil is on how we treat "people" privately—especially strangers or those we consider to be poor or ordinary in the society.

Job.36.5a - "Behold, God is mighty, but despises no one...

Luke.6.35 - But love your enemies, do good, and lend, HOPING FOR NOTHING in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil.

Christianity EtcCutting Those Who're Willing To Help The Devil To Destroy You by Moresalt(op): 8:16pm On May 01
It's totally acceptable to cut people who're gladly on the devil's side against God's purpose for your life...

And some might come dressed up as friends or even relatives but it's all evil jokes.

Matt.10.17a - But beware of men...

Christianity EtcRe: What Really Kills Us Faster by Moresalt(op): 4:06pm On Apr 19
AntiChristian:
The biblical Adam and Eve were not food lovers! They were tempted to want to be like God as proposed by the serpent!

And no part of the Bible says man should not love food. Don't forget your creator!

If Jesus didn't love food at all he won't be mentioned with food many times even cursing a fig tree when he was hungry!
Friend, well, if you don't get the point then you may forget about it. Because it takes spiritual eyes to see through — the Spirit not just the letter.

Take care
Christianity EtcWhat Really Kills Us Faster by Moresalt(op): 9:29pm On Apr 18
No doubt, here are the most common ways people die faster Spiritually and Physically:

1. The "Love" of money

2. The "Love" of food/drink

3. The Love of pleasures; Selfishness and Pride

If we or anyone truly desires to see good times after this rotten old world finally passes, we must surely have to deal with those Three NOW...

Need to remember this: Adam and Eve lost it in the garden because of Food; Esaw lost his birthright still because of Food; Judas, one of the 12, betrayed his Lord and Master, Jesus Himself, because of Money.

The love of these things are certainly deadly especially to the soul.

Jesus himself said:

Luke.12.15 - And He said to them, "Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one's life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses."

Luke.12.20 - But God said to him, "Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'

Luke.12.21 - "So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."

But the Love of God is the only real and lasting Solution.

God bless

Christianity EtcFakes Are Only Attracted By These Things by Moresalt(op): 8:47pm On Apr 12
Money, Fame and Material things will surely attract lots of friends/people around, but be sure they're usually the fake ones.

That's because Real people are not impressed by money and stuff in this world.

They are more interested in your character. Not for perfection, but humility, integrity and transparency.

Real people are rare because it's difficult to be one. In fact, it's only possible by the power of the Holy Spirit not the flesh.

For me now, I'm constantly fighting to be one like them because these are the type I really envy.

And that's why Jesus came to show us a perfect example of what He Himself the Creator wanted humans to be like in the beginning.

Christianity EtcJust Leave Them Alone by Moresalt(op): 9:12pm On Apr 11
I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed it's now becoming quite normal for people to become increasingly "unreasonable" even with confidence.

Not referring to kids but full-grown adults. Even some old elders are not left out in such trickery and evil.

Was trying to do a quick business the other time with a fairly old man—should be nearing his 70s or so. And in my mind I was like boy this is an old person, so he must be decent and have some level dignity.

But alas, I got "really impressed" with the way things turned the moment money got involved. And in fact, he's supposed to be a pastor of a church. Thankfully God gave me wisdom to escape.

The problem with doing wrongs or any form of wickedness is the result later in life.

For every wrong there will be consequences—a bit like buy now pay later. Some of us don't learn until God's hands finally shows for pay back time (what they call karma). Then men start saying life is not fair, etc.

When individuals or people choose to make wickedness, hurting others and all kinds of wrong attitudes/deeds as their hobbies, then best escape is to simply LEAVE THEM ALONE as Jesus taught.

No need for long explanations and self justification. I just graciously and quietly remove myself for from the situation.

What really matters is to be pleasing to God; always having a clear conscience. And the others can wait.

2Tim.4.14 - Alexander the coppersmith did me much harm. May the Lord repay him according to his works.

Phil.3.2 - Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the mutilation!

God bless

Christianity EtcBeware Of Wrong Laughs by Moresalt(op): 9:33pm On Mar 23
Laughing is good, but we must beware of the wrong type of laughs.

If laughing is about seeing other people struggling and having much greater need or troubles than we seem to have right now then it's demonic; and needs serious repenting of shortly.

And even God is not impressed with such. Because might even decide to also "Laugh" by turning the tables sooner or later—which could be a horrible disaster we surely don't want.

Ps.37.13 - The Lord laughs at him, For He sees that his day is coming.

Luke.6.25b - Woe to you who laugh now, For you shall mourn and weep.

God bless

Science/TechnologyCaught This Lil. Snake Chilling My Living Room Today — Please Identify The Name by Moresalt(op): 7:13pm On Jan 25
Please, can anyone identify this snake... Poisonous or not?

So, my dogs forcefully went outside the gate today in the afternoon. It's not really the usual time to go out to pee and stuff, so I was a bit angry and wanted them to come back.

They wasted a bit of time running around the bush and I started chasing them a little before they knew I was serious and they wouldn't like me to graduate to using some well orchestrated spanks first...

Finally they got in the living room (not using the cage for now cos they disturb/bark at the neighbors). Then just as I was about to close the door and turn back I found this shocker chilling like a confused fish out of water.

Thankfully it wasn't too comfortable to slither on tiles so it was very easy to target the head first.

It must have hidden itself around one of the dog's body—maybe the more hairy one. Cos I just move in 2 months ago, there could be no other way for such except for small cockroaches and maybe wall geckos I should try to deal with it.

Please help identify it...

Christianity EtcRe: Sunday Fashion In Lagos: Why Church Is The Real Runway by Moresalt: 4:25pm On Aug 10, 2025
RichBoy247:
Not surprised.

I am a Muslim who is married to a Christian. In the past, I used to drive my wife to Church and also worship with her, but this has changed. This is because she wants me to dress as if we are doing our Traditional Wedding every Sunday. Good shirt and Jeans trousers is not good in her eyes, even a complete suit is not good enough. I worked in different banks over the decade, so dressing is part of my profession, however, simple office clothes are not good enough in the eyes of my wife, I must dress like our Traditional Wedding every Sunday. That is so tiring, so I have left her to be going to Church with the children.

We no dey do like that for Mosque, if you like, wear rags, nobody will stop you from worshiping Allah, but this time it is not the Church that is dictating how people dress, the Church doesn't care as long as you are coming to pay Tithes and Offerings, it is the ladies that have turned the Church into Fashion Centres. The worst ones are the ones that dress almost nakked to the Church and nobody will correct them
Sir, even you as a Muslim know this that modern organized churches are out to make money.

I still wonder why people go and waste their time and resources to build with fake ministers.

I too was in the box till around 2010 - 2014.

God was starting to deal with me on special ground. I was beginning to have some crazy life situations that brought me to my kneels. Out of pain and hopelessness I prayed to Jesus to help me. And that I would live for him if he did.

That's when I began to read the bible and Repent of my pride, selfishness and other vices. In the process of reading the bible God opened my eyes to see the life of the real Jesus and I began to see the lies of modern preachers/pastors leading millions astray.

The issue is if we don't seek the real Jesus and obey his words revealed in the new testament, He won't recognize us when He comes back for judgement. And that won't be very nice if he doesn't allow us in.

Peace...

Nairaland GeneralRe: How Do I Stop Caring About What People Say About Me by Moresalt: 7:47pm On Jul 26, 2025
For me, it about caring for the opinions of who really matters, God....

And that's a battle cos almost everybody around don't know what it means to fear God.

To them you're foolish. Even christians as they call themselves don't know what is white or black.

So it really takes the power of the Holy Spirit... Cos our flesh wants to be popular and make people happy. And we can get worried or even depressed because of these dead opinions of people whose breath is in their nostrils.

It's a daily Battle...

And the more people feel embarrassed and defeated by your I don't care attitude the faster they leave you alone.

They see you don't crave for their validation or acceptance. You don't care whether they understand you or not; you don't try to explain yourself or want to be liked...

BUT to please God alone. That's all that makes you tremble...

Friend, we know that it's possible that modern church girls can be as frying pans (pretending to be light), but why would you willingly jump freely into fire itself (darkness).

I'm single myself so maybe I'm not the best to advise you.

However, my goal is to seek God first and his righteousness always, so He'll add other things in his time.

I'm sick of the regular marriage stories about divorce and separation. So for me it's better to remain single till God's ready.

Just that we must be sure we're constantly seeking grace to obey Jesus according to the new testament. That differentiates the Real from the Unreal. Obedience, not just sacrifices...

Can a son walk away from the house of his father ? Except one is a bastard ,you won't leave nor abandon your father's house even if he offends you. The patternal bond we develop with our father is eternal and unbreakable... Check your life if you suddenly walked away from God. It means you aren't a son yet .
Well, if the place is truly part of the True Father's house, it's evil to leave.

But surely not like modern Christian organizations which more focused on money and popularity in the world. True children of God must leave such.

A passage says Don't forsake the gathering; another part says, Come out from among them and touch not the unclean thing...

So one must be led by the
Holy Spirit to know when to leave or stay.

Lastly, in revelation, it says Jesus is at the door knocking. And lots of modern churches still leave Him at the door knocking. Wouldn't let Him due to the love of themselves and money.

Hence, true followers of Jesus can't be comfortable inside too but be behind Jesus knocking. And they can only enter as soon as they let Him in, hopefully. But it seems many churches have sent Him away even from their doors. Cos they got tired of the knocks. And Jesus is a gentleman, He forces nothing.

Bro. Gbile Akanni too. I have like 5 of his books. These are Christ followers that will help lead any serious disciple to an inner and personal walk with Christ. I look forward to the day I will see Jesus and Zac poonen when Jesus returns. Until then, I'll continue to purify myself even as Christ is pure.
Oh, interesting...

Well, it's surely because God in his great mercy has opened the eyes of very few of us and made us see between "original" Christianity and "fake"; what's white and half white. And that simply reading and obeying especially the new testament Bible is worth more than just following a big church/denominational movement which most times only leads to having a form of godliness without any personal relationship with Jesus. And imagining one is saved while being far lost with loads of dead works.

Meanwhile, if you want we can connect on WhatsApp/Facebook. You may drop WhatsApp or email if necessary.
