The Bible says the bears tore the 42 children. In other words, they mauled them, that does not mean they killed the 42 children. The Bible would have said they killed them instead of using the word tear. In my view, the children were taught a lesson, that, messing with a man of God is not a joke. They were not killed but taught a lesson.
