We don't even expect him to have that big impact like Odegaard sef. He just need to play his game and bring that creativity and we'll be okay.

Zinny injury just fvck am up. By now, he should have been knocking at Arteta's door for a spot in that midfield
Yea... He is another player that can give us some creativity. His injury is weird sha.

Maybe the left back don sweet Zichenko for body😂
The guy might never get a chance to play in the midfield for Arsenal.
He will still play in midfield if not, he will spend so much time on the bench. As it is now, Timber and Calafiori are ahead of him.

I watched that Raya save again this morning and the only thing I can say is that Raya definitely has a spring somewhere in his body. Like that's the only explanation to how he saved the rebound from that penalty.

A second after Raya saved the initial penalty kick, he was lying on the left-hand side of the post. The penalty taker had enough time to pick the opposite direction to nod the ball into the net while he (Raya) was still sprawled on the floor; but somehow Raya was up again to save the ball for the second time within seconds. It was so unreal.

Raya seem to be on a mission to prove Areta right for dropping Ramsdale for him.
Similar to that save against Villa.
Man must have been furious with the way rival fans were crediting his golden glove to our defence last season.
Fantastic goalkeeper!

At this point, I don’t mind starting him ooo cause man can’t recognize his club anymore, and if he starts the boy in cup games, I hope he impresses cause we need that spark in the middle till Ordegarrd return
Just give him a good spine and I'm sure he will impress.
The boy too serious sef... E be like they don ban him from smiling.
Few names I would like to also see in those cup games are Gower, Dowman*, the Salahs and Oyedeji.

You don see the mechanic footie wey you Dey find Abi grin grin

The truth is Ordegarrd is the spark and Raya made the difference yesterday with that save, he should start Nwaneri cause the boy will give us a lil of our skipper chances creation, that Martinelli doesn’t look like one who will effect a game starting but he tries when he comes as a sub or better still he should sit his ass down on the Bench.
grin grin grin You remember?
Yea, but against City AWAY.
Unfortunately, the mechanical football don finally come o.

I think we might have to wait till that Carabao cup match before we see Ethan starting. I doubt Arteta will start him against City.

Jodera:

Na the mechanical football we go dey play now if we no start Nwaneri soonest. If we're always waiting for the perfect time, it'll not come. And it'll be foolish for them to slowly integrate Nwaneri if they knew he won't be ready to fill in Odegaard's shoes for times like this.
I no know wetin him see for Havertz wey make am think say him fit dey creative.

As e dey now, all eyes go dey look our attack as Mid cos no glue to link dem.

As e dey like this now, na advanced stoke/Burnley we go be until Odegaard return. Na only Nwaneri or probably Zinny fit change the outlook. I just hope it won't be too late by then
The attack sef is mid. We no get creative midfielders no mean say make dem dey gba.
Odegaard's absence is masking our poor decision making at the final third.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by mostob(m): 9:39am
Time for Zinchenko to at least play his favourite position, Baba got injured.

And I really hope fans manage their expectations concerning Ethan. He will be coming in to fill a big shoe at a crucial time.

let me rephrase. I'm not against youngsters. But is he acting like he will give the others minutes any time atall? The knock to Saka is the sole reason Ethan played. I even dropped a funny theory about it days ago. Replacement that will be playing immediately now.

A offers 99
B the replacement is offering 50 at best
That's no replacement
That's emergency makeshift.
Minutes is all. If they won't get it, what's the need to act like they exist?
Lol... Ok
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: Finally Reborn! The Red & White Army: FA CUP Champions 2020 by mostob(m): 9:19am
As soon as I saw the midfield yesterday, I told a friend na mechanic football Arteta wan play.
I knew we would struggled because of lack of creativity in that midfield. Two things Arteta got wrong yesterday was
1. Playing Martinelli ahead of Trossard (even if Martinelli should start, Trossard should have come in for him earlier)
2. Partey starting ahead of Jorginho. Jorginho is more creative and with Rice, he wouldn't be exposed much.

Two exit and na 1 be the replacement? Doesn't gel. The rest are simply makeshifts and that should not be banked upon to compete at the top top. We should have passed that stage by now. As for Saka, those two mendem, i no go lie, i expect nothing much this season. To bank on them to achieve our aim is a far far reach.

Its so bad cos GM will still play more minutes than them combined. Just watch😂😂
We let go of Vieira and ESR, both of whom couldn't play up to 300 minutes last season. Arteta bought Merino, promoted both Skelly and Ethan. You no be part of people wey dey lambast Arteta here for not playing youngsters? grin

Now Ode is injured and you dey vex say Arteta didn't buy replacement. Where do you want him to put Ethan and Skelly?

Ligament injury that they're still doing scans on takes that long. 3months off and the extra 1 month and a few weeks for recovery. His ligament was damaged. That's enough to forget the 2months return date. At most, na December before we see our most important midfielder. He'll miss almost 20games. We should brace up for that eventually and pray no further complications on top.
Ok Doc grin grin

4months absence loading.

In July, i was highlighting why we need deputies for these guys. At least if you're emptying the squad, get the direct replacement of these guys that play almost every minute, if not for the epl, but for the ucl fixtures, wrt lessons from last season ucl.

But No.

Now, i am afraid for Saka at this stage. All this better don't come back to haunt us. I hate this kind of outcome.
Where did you see 4 months? 😲😲
BTW how many minutes altogether did those we sold during the last window played for us?

The way these fixtures are arranged sha
City played at home yesterday while we will be be playing away today. And we still have to travel to City on Sunday.

I know this shouldn't be an excuse but little details like this matters.

Trossard's Father is the referee that will officiate our UCL game

Michael Oliver is the referee that have been picked for our crunch match against Man City
We should prepare to play against 12 men on Sunday. Oliver kinda have a little affiliation to City. He failed to send off Kovacic twice last season when we played City.

I also want Partey and Saka to be rested too.
Nwaneri should be given more minutes also.

All eyes should also be on Man City while taking care of Atalanta
Atalanta is good but we should be able to get the job done.
I'm particularly concerned about Timber. He is playing too many minutes. Maybe Calafiori will in for him today. We need him fresh against that low budget Mahrez.

Na like so we wan dey play now till Odegaard comes back? shocked shocked
Maybe till Zinchenko is back sha. He is the next after Odegaard who can help us retain possession at the final third.

Ethan no too get time to dey dilly-dally with the ball like Odegaard. He is suitable for transitional tactic.

Bayern Munich's institutional strength and stability are indeed key factors in their consistent success. Here are some reasons why:

Clear vision and strategy: Bayern's leadership has a well-defined long-term plan, ensuring continuity and consistency.

Strong youth academy: Producing talented players through their academy reduces reliance on expensive transfers.

Financial stability: Bayern's solid finances enable them to invest in top talent and infrastructure.

Experienced backroom staff: Expert coaches, analysts, and trainers support the head coach.

Player recruitment: Bayern identifies and signs talented players who fit their playing style.

Culture of excellence: Expectations are high, and players are expected to perform.

Supportive fans: The Allianz Arena's electric atmosphere boosts player motivation.,,, you need to visit the stadium on match day to understand this

Continuity: Bayern's coaching changes often involve promoting from within or hiring experienced managers.... what Guardiola enjoyed

These factors create an environment where coaches can thrive, making Bayern an attractive destination for top managers.

Recent examples:

• Julian Nagelsmann's success after Hansi Flick's departure
• Flick's own transformation from assistant to title-winning coach

Bayern's institutional strength allows coaches to focus on tactics and player development. Even EA GO FIT SUCCEED FOR BAYERN BECAUSE HE IS CHOSEN!

Zinchenko will sneak out of the squad due to injury and sneak back in without anybody noticing. How?

I thought his injury is minor o

Calafiori travelled with the squad. With Rice back, Partey should be rested.

Rice - Jorginho- Trossard
Sterling - Havertz - Martinelli

4-2-4... Soak the pressure and hit them on counter.

These two players are water 💦 carriers , will work all day 💪🏿 muscle and endeavour but very little invention and creativity it's essentially brawn over brain 🧠.

Unfortunately that will not 🚫 get too far.

The only inventive player is Iwobi and he is not still exceptional ability very good but not excellent.

I agree.
We need Sheyi Ojo, Bovi Ejaria Fred Onyedinma in that midfield.

One reason I didn't want Nwaneri to start against Spurs is because I don't want him to be overwhelmed and make mistakes. However, the kid I watched yesterday no dey look face. I won't mind starting him against City especially now that Rice will be available.
Na yesterday I finally know why Vieira talk say he wan return to Porto. grin grin grin

And where is Tomiyasu FFS? He is the one suitable for this Lookman assignment. I want White to rest and be ready for Doku.

Arsenal have played 990’ minutes away from home in the Premier League in 2024.

They’ve not been behind for a single minute.

In that time, they’ve won ten out of 11 away games, suffered zero defeats, only conceded three goals and kept nine clean sheets.

In 2024 Arsenal are the best team away from home in the world. No team has a better record.

Impressive!
