Let me repeat it again, over reliance on players plying their trades in foreign countries is killing Super Eagles.

Most of them are average and not better than the local players. We may not appreciate local players anymore because we are not following the league.

It's easier to build a formidable team with local players than foreign based players. Assemble them, get them trained together at least twice in a Month. Drop the weak ones until the right players with right mentality make up the squad.

Add few determined foreign based players and watch them light up the continent. Last time I enjoyed watching our games has lost in my memory.

We keep hailing them, calling them all sorts of great names to what end? Serving us breakfast?!
What have the said home based players achieve in the last 5 years? What are their performances in CAF competitions? When last did we win CHAN?
Our problem is not that we don't have players. We simply need a good coach.

Ofcoz little attention-seeking nobodies like you call that dissection. Did you even bother looking thoroughly at my first response? Ofcoz you didn't. You are only concerned with anyone who just has an opposing view to Nerdie coz you hate Nerdie.

My first response still stands. No need to repeat myself as he practically said nothing substantial.

Your guy just dropped a bunch of irrelevant epistles... so there was no need replying such nonsense but just pick one of the many misinformations he dropped.

You guys won't know anything but will stubbornly persist with misinformation hidden in long irrelevant talks and call it "Dissection". Loolll...

By the way, Why are you so Obsessed With quoting me even when it got nothing to do with you? You always do it, you certified perv.

Nigeria has remembered him that song, "Know me when I'm poor , not when I'm rich" comes to mind.

After inviting Eberechi Eze to the SE March 2017 we forgot he existed, there was a chance to invite him to several friendlies including the inconsequential Athletico Madrid game but we didn't.

Now he has blown , we have finally remembered him. Actually Rohr was very keen to invite him but was not able to.
Oga calm down. Allow him see shirt first before you start blowing your trumpet.

The point is development. The point is about team growth. A team that can keep the ball well will have to develop the next step, converting their possession to chances.

Now in our case, we can't even keep the ball, let alone have purpose with it.

So, we need to work on fixing our poor ball keeping by working towards the right composition of players.
I wholeheartedly agree

Coaching bro. Nothing else. Imagine playing Ndidi and Aribo in Midfield and expecting the team to keep the ball.

Just too much talk. No substance. Just deliberately moving away from the central focus to things not relevant to the discourse. Just trying so hard.
In the end, you got more information from me than you could handle.

How did you misinform anyone? Here's one example....

Your claiming Garrincha missed the last game due to Injury when he was actually dropped for still injured Pele in 1966 in the last group game.

The FIFA article below laughs at you

That is just how Special Pele is. A 25% fit Pele was still far more dangerous than any other Brazillian in sight.

Pele was major key to their 1958 and 1970 WC triumphs. Facts. He was part of their success in 1962 but Garrincha was the main man in Pele's injury induced absence. Also facts. Two facts can co-exist but you won't know that ofcos.

Just all talk, no direction. Lol

Again, you are welcome. wink No one is entitled to Ignorance. grin
Just look at how he dissected your posts bit by bit and gave you a thorough response. He even ignore your jabs.
I was expecting you to follow suit but you didn't surprise me. You can't call yourself a super analyst and not know simple rules of engagement.

You can't have a purpose if you can't keep the ball. I am talking about our team, the super eagles and why we find it difficult to keep the ball as a team.

It is because we do not have players who are gifted with the attributes to achieve it.
You can keep the ball and still not fulfill your purpose. It goes either way. I kinda agree with you on the super eagles. Aside Iwobi, I can't pinpoint any other midfielder that has that attribute. To make it worse, Our defenders are not good with ball playing and then there is Moses Simon, the lone ranger.

It's about time we move away from Ekong as our starting CB.. Akpogunma,Awazeim, Ajayi and even Bassey are better options...
As far as GWG is concerned, Akpors is nowhere better than Ekong. Truth be told, we don't have defenders. Aside the two mentioned, who else again? Omeruo, Awaziem,Ajayi... I don't even know what's up with Val.

That is what I am explaining. Instead of hating a team because they are good at keeping the ball, boost our team to become better at keeping the ball.

This mean players with stamina, skill on the ball, intelligence in passing and ability to hit vital passes.

I am saying we need to improve our scouting and development program.

We can't keep the ball if we keep going with players that are not comfortable with the ball. If our players are not well versed in the passing game and if they lack the ability to make incisive and creative passes.
Nobody is against keeping the ball. What we are on about is PURPOSE. What is the use of keeping the ball without scoring? I will take -100% possession with a win rather than 100% possession with a lose or a draw.

Of course you cannot thats why you are jumping on this facetious train with prejudice.

I will tell you more than 4 seasons ago.

However, he has not been relegated to playing youth football, or had his contract prematurely terminated, and or playing for bankruptcy relegation facing club and is not begging for a contract.
The bottom line is you also wrote long Epistles on this thread. That's the point.

You are absolutely correct and not forgetting that Maradona coached him in 2010. Related story, there is a video I saw on LinkedIn of the moment Argentina won the penalties against the dutch and all the other players ran towards Lautaro but only Messi went to celebrate with the main hero, Martinez, that to me was awesome. Mark of a very good leader!!!
That's just Messi's personality. If you want to know how loud Messi can be, watch him around his kids and wife. That's why he remain my favorite. No paparazzi, no media Brouhaha, no beefing. He just want to play football and go back to his family.

The Argentines did not win the midfield battle. All their goals came for counter attack. The Croat underestimated the Argentines by pushing too many men forward while leaving the defense open. Nevertheless, you comparing, Rabiot, Tcho and Greizman trio to33 year old Modric, bench warmer Kovacic is laughable!
So it's about age now? grin
First go check their stats in that match then come back to argue.
