CAF introduced the MRI scans which is a big help. Nigeria is certain that the players who played at u17 are the right age since the scan has a 99% accuracy.

Most of those players make up this team so there is a progression. One can not vouch for the new players but I am of the view that most are within the right age.

I have my reservations about certain players but this is the closest to a true u20 side,that Nigeria has had.


Expect big things from some of these boys.

Countries with larger population dominates in soccer especially in their home continent. The only country to defy all the odds is Uruguay and few african countries like Ghana.

Sorry, I misread your comment. I didn't follow the under 17 team so I don't know how many are in this current team. I doubt that we have more than 2 on this current team because that team was atrocious.

It doesn't matter as you can see in just a matter of two from that defeat we have put together a great team. Come World Cup time we will be ready.

The same thing happened to our under 20 treat in 2013. We started of slow in Ayc and made it to the World Cup and once we got there we went all the way to the semi Finals. I trust my boys will be ready for the World Cup.

Decorum please, the difference between 2013 and 2009 is 4yrs and in 4yrs several under ages competition take place both in caf and fifa and there are tendencies that any good team can bag medals in all those competitions between that 4yrs, so don't underestimate it.
