joxxy01: england originated football, but can they stand germany or holland?? That is d case with gana Ghana is better than Nigeria in football. Even a new born baby knows this. Ghana has won more than Nigeria and we are still relevant unlike England when compared with Germany. We have more trophies and have achieved and continue to achieve more than you. We have produced superior players. |

Generals02: Bad belle, that foul is authentic. Moses' brilliance won us 2 penalties when it mattered most. How come no one on your yeye team had that brilliance on sunday?
You opened yansh for Mali and burkinafaso, but we bulldozed them with style. And we beat a top-notch CIV with Drogba.
We were faaaaaaaarrrrrrrr better than you in 2013. Infact our 2013 set of team will beat this useless current set of blackstars black and blue. Mali and burkina. You are funny we always beat those two teams. Nigeria was bad team and they won by mistake not even luck. When we talk football you need to compare yourself to Senegal, Togo and the rest you are not near Ghana. You boost of strikers but they can't score. When was the last x any of strikers scored a goal. |

parrotibaba: ...what's dat? 33 years and counting ? in 2013 we won d Afcon in style ,beating ivory coast n thrashing mali who later molested gayna in 3rd place ...
...And Andre Ayew wept like a nine year old who was refused an ice cream Is funny how u guys keep saying Mali trashed. We always beat Mali, we even beat them in group stages. Nigeria can only win Afcon as long as they don't see their masters. If we meet nigeria in the qualifiers, they will not make it to the tournament, if they avoid Ghana and South Africa and make it to the tournament and meet Ghana in the group stages they will not make it to the knockout stages, if they make it to the quarter finals and meet Ghana then they would not mke it to the semi finals. You can only make it as long as you avoid your masters. We own you guys. |

Generals02: Oya choose one.
Which is better?
Winning an Afcon with grand style and missing out of the next ( To relax)
Or
Struggling in one afcon to attain 4th place and still losing in the finals of the next.
Sincerely choose one. Grand style, Nigeria was one of weakest team in that Afcon and won it by luck. They got a dubious penalty to beat ethiopia. I doubt u have what it takes to qualify for the next Afcon. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria, Hope Of African Football by Motherforker12: 9:05pm On Feb 09, 2015 |
Generals02: Something is cooking, can you smell it?
This afcon is what you term an interesting rubbish. Marred by poor quality football and tactics. You sometimes wondered if you were watching a principal's cup football.
Even Sunday's final was clueless. Ghana was rubbish, CIV were toothless. Are these the best teams Africa can boast of? And a club bench warmer, Christain Atsu won the tournament player of the year?
As it is now, African football is mediocre at its peak
We are waiting for the Nigerian U-20 side, (World U-17 champions) to restore Africa's hope.
These lads, full of brilliance and promise are the future. And they play a spectacular brand of football.
With them, Nigeria will be the 1st African country to reach the semis of the world cup, perhaps even the 1st to win it. Nigeria hope of african soccer. That would be the day. Nigeria under 20 team can't neva be compared to Ghana's 2009 team. That's same Guys that always beat your senior team. Nigeria plays some of the most boring soccer you can't ever find. For 90 mins they would keep passing from left to right without ever passing their own half. All in the name of ball possession. Hope of Africa soccer I laugh |

This goes to all the mods on nairaland. Semid4lyfe, mukina2 and all other mods, is funny how you guys have turned a blind eye on what is going on in this thread. Ghana lost and Nigerians are having a field day taunting and mocking Ghanaians. I am yet to see any banned from the mods. I have seen people use phrases like Ghana must go and whatnot.
I was banned by you guys for two years for doing the same thing when nigeria got eliminated by South Africa. I was accused of derailing, and taunting. I guess is only right when Ghanaians and other foreigners are being taunted. If you guys can't be objective how do expect people to follow the rules.
Before anyone open their mouth and say this is a nigerian site then you shouldn't start threads that has nothing to do with nigeria. After all this match had nothing to do with Nigeria. It was between Ivory Coast and Ghana.
I couldn't really comment or enjoy the Afcon on nairaland because my original account was banned for two years for the same thing I see going on in this thread.
I know I shouldn't expect it but you guys have to be fair. if you are going allow nigerians to tease Ghana when we are down then why can't we do the same when Nigeria loses. Just my 2 cents. |

dieantwordRSA: country level. NO...
ANC WINNERS...overtime...
Team/country Winners Egypt 7 North Africa Ghana 4 West Africa Cameroon 4 Central Africa Nigeria 3 West Africa DR Congo 2 Central Africa has a potential to be football powrhouse in Africa. Unfortunately their talent is taken away by European countires lik France,Belgium,Holland even Germany lately. The likes of Benteke,Kompany,Mandanda,Lukaku,Mangala,Mvila,Ikoko,Kongolo etc... Ivory Coast 2 West Africa Zambia 1 SADC Tunisia 1 North Africa Sudan 1 North Africa Algeria 1 North Africa Ethiopia 1 East Africa Morocco 1 North Africa South Africa 1 SADC Congo 1 Central Africa
AFRICAN REGIONS WHO HAVE WON MOST AFCONS 1. North Africa 11 times 2. West Africa 9 times 3. Central Africa 7 times 4. SADC 2 times 5. East Africa 1 time Same can be said west Africa. From French teams, German, Italian and English, Dutch I mean teams that are powerhouse in soccer. You dare compare Belgium to any one of these countries. Look at the French team is full of Guinean and Senegalese players. |

I quoted the likes of Lukaku,Mangala,Kompany etc..befor remember They were all born in Europe and they don't play for those teams. Doesn't change the fact that west Africa has still produce more ms better players. |
