KingCold:
why do you think a lot of crimes get blamed on foreigners?
99% of all the crimes in south africa are done by south africans

look at the stats by your own govt and stop gaslighting us

1.5 million incidents of housebreaking occurred, representing 5,7% of all households in the country.

1.3 million incidents of personal theft took place, affecting about 1,2 million individuals

SA is unsafe.

Killed by Mozambicans..
you claimed lucky dube was killed by zims right but the news show that south africans were invovled, why did you omit that.

All three men convicted of the murder of lucky dube, Sifiso Mhlanga, Julius Ngxowa, and Mbuti Mabe were South African nationals.

The three gunmen confessed that they did not realize it was the Reggae singer, they thought it was a Nigerian and that was why they shot him to death as they were trying to snatch his car from him.

Stop gaslighting us here, we know your tricks

The Nigerians who relocate are usually the ones who don't despise South Africans ergo they are ready to relocate to your country and interbreed with your sisters.

The question then remains if you are like the Nigerians who hate South Africans, what are you doing here?
the reason they are nairaland is to gaslight everyone...they are either working in the sa embassy in nigeria or just some paid keyboard warriors

KLEINBASS:
36 000 legally and 2 million illegal aliens
there are no 2 million illegal nigerians in SA, the distance from nigeria to south africa is about by air is 2826 miles and by land is 6,632 km, it also takes 10-15 working days to get a visa to SA. SA has no borders with nigeria, it makes no logical sense to assume that 2 millions illegal nigerians are in SA. even the UK, the most visited by Nigerians because of historical links, do not have up 400k nigerians living there considering they have tougher immigration requirement than south africa.

your claim that there are 2 million illegal Nigerians in SA, that would mean 3% of the entire South African population makes no logical sense.

This south african guy called Nkosinathi Phakathi

South African serial rapist Nkosinathi Phakathi has been sentenced to 42 life sentences for 90 counts of rape he committed between 2012 and 2021. The 40-year-old, who targeted children as young as nine, often made children watch him abuse others. The crimes took place in Ekurhuleni, a municipality east of Johannesburg. Phakathi's victims were mostly schoolchildren, with the youngest being a nine-year-old girl. He also assaulted some victims in their homes.

South african prision data

Approximately 10.5% to 15% of the total prison population in South Africa consists of foreign nationals, with South African citizens comprising about 89.5% of the approximately 166,000 inmates.

As of early 2025, Zimbabwe has the highest number of sentenced foreign nationals (4,105), followed by Mozambique (3,336), Lesotho (2,180), and Malawi (1,812).

They claim Nigeria is the issue when prison data shows otherwise.

Oh! So we went from Nigerians being the centre of attention in our politics to the global anti immigrant wave sweeping politics in the liberal world including South Africa, was this what you initially wanted to discuss?🙆‍♀️🙄
i think the best thing to do with you is to ignore you..you add no value to this discussion.

No one said Nigerians decide elections numerically. The point is that anti-foreigner rhetoric can be used as a campaign tool during economic frustration. That doesn’t mean it’s the only issue or the main issue, just that it exists. If you disagree, argue that directly instead of exaggerating the claim.

There is probably 30 times more Nigerians in SA than the number you quoted. The reality is the bulk of these Nigerians are nuisance.
you claim the bulk of nigerians are nuisance in SA

lets get the point clear, the discusion is not about Nigerians deciding elections numerically, it’s about them being used symbolically in political messaging.
