At least 2 cases of oil pipeline explosions have been recorded within 24 to 48 hours following threats by militants supportive of Fubara and Fubara didn't dissociate himself from the threats or warn against it. So it his clear that Fubara may not be able to effectively carry out his role as Chief Secueity Officer of the State.

You mention Benue, Kaduna and other Northern States. The truth is that those States are not as strategic economically to the country like Rivers State. When pipelines and oil installations get blown, it directly affects the National Revenue from crude oil and cannot be ignored, unlike banditry that is largely localized to the area experiencing the challenge.

Would the State of Emergency stop pipelines from getting blown?

Did they investigate to know who blew the pipelines? What if it's Wike loyalists that blew it up just to hasten Declaration of state of emergency?
