Thank God 4 a successful training @ HQ. Thanks to our DG for treating us like his children. No wonder NIMC stands out in the country. Madam Wini, Amazing and motherly; Madam Uche, always elegant & straight forward. Hw about Mr Peter, a doyen of intelligence & Charisma; Mr Sam, a man of Humour & understanding. Infact, NIMC has the best of staff. All facilitators were on point in all aspects of the training. Though very few lukworm trainees tried pulling others backward, but thank God that at the end, those who knew what they were doing were all vindicated. Management can aswell see reasons with those who finishd the 2nd accessment in gd time but made one or two pardonable errors & later completd the third accessment without errors. This will really help in pinpointing the most competent ones.

NIMC will not stop nw!! More inductions r on the way.. So get ready .. Merry Xmas!!

Merry xmass 2 all Nairalanders on this forum. My utmost accolade goes to the person who initiated this thread, Rachel. It is verry obvious that we all, both those that finaly secured jobs with NIMC and those who r still in the Job market, have richly benefietd from this thread. Indeed, we must all accept that God used the person of Rachel to kick start this thread. I am not sure she finaly secured this job, but where ever she is, she is a hero. I Personally will like to meet her and learn a couple of things. I Know somany must have tried kickstarting a thread on this Nimc Job even with more sorphisticated heading; but alas, those threads didn't stand the test of time. I Beleive right timing, simplicity, proper calculation & fateful intentions, kept this thread running up until nw. These, we have to accept r qualities inherent in the initiator of this thread that we all need to learn frm. So where ever u find that lady, pls give her a kiss. But not until u identify with her o, else, she might respond with a slap. No be me send u message...
I have been following everything here since the very day I posted my first comment. I only withdraw whenever I give out important & helpful info and people abusively contradict or critisize me. This I beleive is the reason why most people who secured this job desisted frm giving vital informations. As new employees, it makes no sense to waist time givin out info that might generate abuses when there r new challenges to face. Do not forget, our employment have not been made permanent; our names r erazable 4 the first six months. So u don't expect us to come here & unvail everything we have seen so far about the commission that has nothing to do with the heading of this thread. So far, salaries have been paid. Yes, but how does that help anyone in securing this Job or securing any other Job. Most of us still don't know what our exact monthly pay is.. But we all know what is written on the APL. When allowances r added, it should be close to 100k. we beleive what was paid is 4 the first three months. But how does this info help anyone in securing a Nimc Job? Cocerning this job, I must say, no one knows whats next. Nimc may nt be calling people 4 nw,but no one knows what will happen in the comin yr. So I encourage every one still in search of a gd Job to be optimistic, and aswell explore other opportunities. The blessings of God come in turns. When ur turn comes my brother,my sister, it will never elude u, come rain, come shine. On a final note, like my able colleague, I must say 'ONE LOVE'. Whenever I deam it fit to post here, I will still do so.. Godbless Nairaland, Godbless Nimc, Godbless Nigeria. Merry Xmas once again.

Wait ooo, was it not here that people authoritatively stated that salaries will not be paid for those periods we were waiting for our posting.. Now the ****** have come again to deceive people concerning the amount that will be paid as salary. It is clearly stated on the APL what will be paid monthly.. that is basic. When allowances and overtime r added, surely, the take home pay will increase drastically. So where r all these spurious analysis coming from? @ emmysam2.. I think u r very right on ur position.

Abuja - The new national identity card can be used as Automated Teller Machine (ATM) card anywhere there is MasterCard logo in the world, the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has said.

NIMC’s Director of Technical Services, Mr Emmanuel Ogungbe, told Journalists on Thursday in Abuja that the commission had already signed an agreement with MasterCard.

“As opposed to just being an ID card, the card is also a cash card. What that means is you can also use it the way you currently use your ATM card.

“So if you put money on the card, you can withdraw this money anywhere in the world.

“Two, it’s also a travel card. What that means is that very soon, especially within the West African sub-region, you can travel passport-free as long as you have this card with you.

“So this card has multi-purpose use and that is why we are calling it a general-multi-purpose card, it’s not just an ID card.”

According to him, all that a holder of the card needs to do is to present it at the point of entry of any country where it will be swiped.

He said the information about the person, similar to the ones on passport, would come out and the country would allow entry.

Ogungbe said that the new card was error-proof and would enhance the security of the country.

“We have a system called automated biometrics identification system in our data centre that checks information of newly registered people coming into the database against what we already have in the database.

“If there is a hit, that means that person was registered before and of course this means we will deny new registration.

“So, there is no way of beating that system for now; I’m very confident of that. That will ensure that you can only register once.

“What the bad elements do is to hide in a way that you won’t be able to capture them. But we are saying with this (ID) we know who they are and we will be able to very easily locate them,’’ he said.

According to him, if there is a crime and the police are able to lift finger prints from the crime scene and send to NIMC, the commission will be able to give the full details of the criminals.

He also said that the card would reduce incidences of bank frauds as fraudsters would be easily detected and apprehended.

“Talk about even fraud in the banks, where someone will obtain a loan in a particular bank, move on to the next bank without servicing the previous loan to obtain another loan; that will become a thing of the past.

“Because once the bank takes your national identification number, it can see all your various transactions, all various businesses that you have with all the other banks.”

He said that government had asked the commission to “register every single Nigerian and legal residents” but warned the aliens against any attempt to use the card to commit crimes.

“If you are an alien and you think you can continue doing that and go scot-free, then the person’s time is numbered because very soon, we will get to him or her,” he said. (NAN)

I don't know hw possible it could be for someone like me 2 check for u people. If that is possible for me, I will. I have not yet been postd nd I don't know anyone at HQ. The only thing I think I can do for nw will be 2 give u the numb that called me frm Nimc. But I cannot post it here. So if u can call me on the number I postd here b4, I will give it to u. For some reasons, I decided to remove that number but it has been quoted severally on this thread. So u can still find it.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nimc 2012/2013 Interview by Mowin: 6:08am On Oct 31, 2013
Well, I still beleive that more people will be calld when the local gov. Centres r ready. Nw, I was suprise to see some guys here luking for who would help them check their names after inductions were over. Frm the first day of documentation, the issue of the possibility of people not receiving thier messages has always been mentioned here. I even went the extramile by puting a number here for the benefit of those who may need certain info that cannot be posted here. Only few people who were invited called. One person who has done interview nd was nt invitd calld me. Tday, the guy has long finishd his documentation. Raising dust nw that inductions r over is really supprising to me. On the issue about the number of people employd thus far, I think the entire 1400 slots have been invited. Its just that many were absent. On my batch, about 153 people were invited, about 123 were present. I also heard that inductions were going on at some other venues. The day we went 4 documentation at the headquatrs, induction was ongoing there. That confirmed to me that inductions were done simultaneously at vines hotel nd at HQ frm 21st-23rd of this month. Those who calld me receivd all these info. The way faward nw 4 u guys is to first of all verify if u were actually invited. If not, then u people should still have patience for some time. NIMC also called some of those who were invited. So if u people can call that number that called, it will help. Finally, I will like to advise u guys not just 2 rely on the info u get on Nairaland. U may not get all that is going on about this Nimc recriutment on this forum. So we all need to know that.

tontons: plzzzzz ....oooo @dandutse n dos wit classic info shud pls help 2 ans or giv advice on my above question. Dis surely wil help dos of us dat do nt hav BB pin bt OFFICE pin. Tanx
Abi o my bro, pin no pass that one.. Abeg Danduntse, attend 2 our personal person, tonton nd other numerous folks who r expectant.. D last batch on this set must have startd their induction this morning.. That means whoever hasn't receivd Hcp text by nw will have 2 wait a little longer.. I advise every one still expectant 2 try nd reach Nimc any hw they can 4 clearification. NIMC is also trying in making sure every one invited is contacted. I was textd twice nd also called on the last day of our induction. So Nimc is really doing everything 2 make sure every one invited is reached. However, it wouldn't be bad if u also verify on ur own 2 be completely sure..

With the deadline given 2 Nimc by Mr president, we have 2 have a target of registering close to 1 mill elligible Nigerian on a daily basis(excluding wkends). What that entails is that more hands will be needed frm the fed. 2 the local gov level. So there is still hope 4 u guys..

do u know wat criteria dey r using to post us now
.? I prefer south west o..I cant be sleeping in a ghetto for 3 months without salary how cn a person cope under such circumstances. dey should just request frm ppl how dey want to be posted jare....if not ur geographical zone should b d best criteria
I think the first criteria they consider is state of origin.. but since there may be shortages in abuja because few people r indegins of abj, they have to draft people from other states to make up for the shortages. And for states that may have high concentration of people, some will be moved to neighbouring states that may not have much people. If they go by prefared choices, it may be difficult for them cos a huge number of people may prefare a particular place.. thats what I think..

its only for those posted to d HQ presently. nobody posted to other stated apart from there preferred state likes it but ppl get np choice but HQ GUYS dey para seriously. its just too expensive to maintain urself in abuja without salary for 3 months its not fair na
As 4 me, I pray to be posted 2 HQ.. But they might post me to Asaba frm the lk of things... They should just use thier discretion cos there r many people who prefer Abj to other places
