Business › Re: Can The Black Man Manufacture Anything? I Am Beginning To Wonder by mpaudena: 4:32pm On Jan 13, 2012
Some not too distant past examples - Eli Whitney's Cottin Gin; Charles Richard Patterson - auto manufacturing.

PRESENT DAY - Ronald E. Hall Sr. - Bridgewater Interiors. There are probably many small ones but the honest truth is that I am not interested in the topic enough to do prolonged research. And also you may think that the ones that are out there don't meet your standards but remember that even catepillar and mahindra machines are made with other complex machinery.

The bottom line though is that there are not enough of us that are manufacturing and I think that is the bigger point. Whether we are capable of manufacturing should not be a question considering that in many of the manufacturing companies there are black employees. Now why are we not starting or running these companies by much greater number, and if I am correct that there are many other small ones, then why can't we scale? That's a much larger issue. There is a problem that afflicts the African people worldwide and it is a result of history and it will take thinking that takes us from why don't we manufacture complex machinery to what are we going to do to change the situation - globally.
Adverts › Survey Regarding Investment/business Opportunities In Nigeria by mpaudena(op): 9:51pm On Sep 30, 2011
My name is Mackens Audena. I am a student at University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. I write today to ask that you ask the members of your organization to take this very brief survey about the market information research services for Africa.

I am sure that you would agree that Africa presents tremendous opportunities and challenges. One of the most fundamental challenges to the available opportunities is lack of information. One of the ways in which development inducing investment into Africa can be assisted is through providing access to market information to investors and entrepreneurs. Through this survey I am trying to ascertain the demand for this market information.

The survey should take no more than one minute, but will be very helpful in providing information. Please pass the link on to your friends. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
