Mandynews: This is actually trending on twitter currently! Omoyele Sowore, the founder of Sahara Reporters, has interest in running for the Presidency
This is coming following the new bill recently passes in the state allowing young people to vie for positions in the government.
Meanwhile, Sowore has not declared the political party he would be representing.
Check out campaign graphics below.

Politics › Between Abacha And Buhari Who Would You Support In An Election? by MRAKBEE(op): 12:12pm On Feb 23, 2018 |
General Sani Abacha and President Buhari were both military leaders. However, the former is widely regarded as a leader who stole funds meant for public goods and domiciled them in foreign accounts. I think the positive result he achieved during his regime far outweigh his crimes. Yes He embezzled public fund which is a common trait in African politics but he was a better leader than Buhari. I have my reasons for taking this position. Nigerian economy was strong and our currency had value. Abacha even refused to devalue it although the IMF adviced him to do so and even threatened to sanction him. He even stood his ground in the face of sanctions issued by western countries. Inflation rate was significantly reduced during Abacha’s time. The economy also grew in Abacha’s era. The Abacha administration became the first to record unprecedented economic achievements, going on to oversee an increase in the country’s foreign exchange reserves from $494 million in 1993 to $9.6 billion by the middle of 1997. It also reduced the external debt of Nigeria from $36 billion in 1993 to $27 billion by 1997. Our sovereignty as a country was preserved. Abacha made Nigerian Army respected. Now na small Cameroon were dey frustrate our citizens. Nigeria was widely regarded as a potential world power due to the influence it wielded in the continent. Abacha refused to accept a single political appointment throughout his military career, Abacha has been described as the epitome of military discipline.
Lalasticlala who would you support in an election if these two men were to contest for the highest seat of power in the country. Nairalanders, tell us your own oh |
