We never met but we met countless times...

Yes! The Social Media had carved a rare opportunity for me to 'meet' your insightful intellectual contributions to humanity.


I voraciously gravitated towards your writings like a man who has beheld a worthy bride because of your uncommon humanness.

My dream was to meet such a man who wielded a 'fearless' and 'impactful' pen... But the coward called death shattered that!

Death couldn't let you 'land' but stole you on air close to the heavens...

You stood against oppression even if you were not directly a victim... You spoke truth to 'Powers'... Your struggles shall certainly outlive you.

Am consoled by the fact that 'it is not death a man should fear, but he should fear never beginning to live'. Your altruism certainly made your times on Earth worthwhile.

Prof, please tell *Ken Saro Wiwa* that the liquid black gold has completely chased out the Ogoni people from their abodes after his unfair execution about 24 years ago.

Remember to 'gist' *Chief Gani Fawehinmi* about the decadence of the judiciary amidst the nation's oppressive polity.

Lest I forget Sir, if you had anyway to reach *Fella* tell him that his definition of Democracy as *demonstration of Crase* has been justified. Let him know elections are now warfronts where blood is used in lieu of ink to thumbprint ballot papers. Intimate him on how 'Pythons' now dance shamelessly in public glare.

Lastly, salute our Daddy, *Late Chief Anthony Enahoro*. Tell him the dividends of freedom he envisaged are still mirages. Crass nepotism, corruption, oppression and ethno-religion bigotry constitute an acute clog in the wheel of our nation's Independence which he advocated for in 1953.

Let me Stop here Prof, till we meet and part no more!
