The FCT Minister reports directly to the President, just like all other ministers.

But unlike other ministers, he controls a whole territory (Abuja). managing land, security coordination, infrastructure, and administration.

So, the Minister of FCT = Governor of Abuja (because Abuja has no elected governor).

If you compare by influence and respect:

The FCT Minister is roughly equivalent to a Lieutenant General in status. similar to a state governor.

However, just like a governor, he cannot command the military directly. Any military order must come from the President (Commander-in-Chief) or a higher ranked officer. You saw a video where wike called the CDS and gave the officer the phone. The CDS knows the officer is following an order! And you can't break chain of order

What religion is truly behind these kpaing?
I’m not being tribalistic, and I’m not speaking out of religious sentiment either. But let’s face the facts.
At the beginning, the attacks weren’t random. They were mainly on places of worship! especially Catholic churches, probably because of their large congregations. Later on, they extended to entire villages.
Now tell me, what’s really happening in Southern Kaduna? Who are the major residents there? It’s clear the kpaing are mostly targeted at Christians. Maybe a few Muslims too, just to make it look balanced. But we all know the real focus.
If Muslims want to kpai themselves, let them. If Christians want to fight among themselves, it's fine! But don’t cross into another religion in the name of defending your God.
I’ve seen situations, especially back then in Gwagwalada where if a Muslim bike man offended someone and there was an argument, all he had to do was shout that you insulted Prophet Muhammad. Immediately, others would rush in and attack without even asking questions. But if a Christian raised his voice saying someone insulted Jesus, people would just look at him like he’s the f00/.
So yes, I believe these kpaing are deliberately targeted at Christians, no matter how they try to disguise it.
