you are on point with the bolded too....imagine trading a $400,000 account, then you see a $15,000, would you exit it because it is $15,000; so we are not moved my market agitation, we let it do whatever it wants to do. so it is best we wait, take profit by TP or if it goes against us, let it take our SL....choosing trailing gap is still guesswork cos we don't know how much it will come back, some pick random numbers, who tells us that how much, though some use ATR, I would still say - don't choke the market.

Well I would only close a trade if I see my exits signs, but I barely close a trade( probably because I'm still gathering as much knowledge as I can.
It's either tp or sl , I don't even trail stop loss( or break even as it's called).
By the way, I would love to know what prompted you to close the trade . What did you see sir

When you spot a potential sure trade, always use a wider stop loss and not a tight stop loss because the market has a way to hunt those stops loss before going your direction and please your trades are too many on a small account, please take 1 trade at a time on account of 200usd below.... Too many trade kills d account quickly

Intially when I saw the number of positions he had opened, I concluded he was a scalper until I saw his lot size. I know scalper use larger lot sizes.
All the same, person no dey Sabi forex finish, his strategy might actually allow him open many trades like he did.

My second live account burnt to ashes today and the first is still in danger. The live account has been in danger since last week, on Monday i took my flight ticket money $380 and split it, to my two live account hoping to pull out the money by next week, i believe the trade will bounce back after breaking the lower low of this year. On Tuesday the market was still digging deep, i edged the pairs on Tuesday afternoon, from Tuesday evening to Wednesday the pairs was pulling back, i closed the edging pairs with hope the market will bounce back, i lost $98. From Wednesday evening to Thursdays morning the pairs will move front and come, just like a trending market. I left it to do other things, as I came back this evening I find my account no more. My travel to Senegal and Gambia has been postpone to 2 or 3 weeks till I get money for flight ticket or the worst I use land.
I just learnt to never be angry with stoploss. I stopped using stoploss when it always cuts me off before going to my position..
I have not been sad since this eveing, I just branch to take some liquor so I can sleep very well.

Once you start hegding that's gambling.
But I like your spirit, and I think you would have performed better if the money you use to trade wasn't meant for the trip. When you expect so much from a trade you pschology starts doubting your strategy.

Yes, try ftmo; if you don't win the challenge 1st, 2nd and 3rd time; don't do it again cos you will be better off with broker.

Those rules are set such that the portfolio amount would entice clients but what the clients don't know is that the actual value given to trade with is only the 10% of that.

E.g if you pay €155 for a $10,000 account, if you lose $1000, you have lost the account even though you have 9,000 left in the portfolio- it becomes useless. Try simulating their parameters with demo, if you meet their required objectives twice, then you should do their challenge.

Honestly speaking, you're wonderful. I now understand the scope. I now see reasons why you insisted / adviced us to tryout 1000$ demo account and see if we could make a profit of 1000$ without DD of 500$. Nice one bro .
I throway salute, but from the outside their rules look ease to scale through ,only if one knew what awaits him. Many thanks brother man, you've really been a blessing.

Anyhow, I'll be updating here with my progress on the demo account at the end of every 20 days.

I thought you mentioned $50 drawdown in your previous post, yea there is a 5% daily DD but only on their challenge package; 10% overall DD. No 5% on their monthly package, only 10% DD.

Also are you aware of their extension plan(you can actually asked for an extension if you fail to meet the required profit before the deadline, I saw this on youtube)

I don't know about the extension cos I stopped doing their challenge after I did the $200K once, my experience with them wasn't good; I now do their monthly one, even this is getting me skeptical as to if I would continue with them or not cos it contains traps so that clients will have to continue to pay monthly. It's a tough one on the leverage and the maximum number of lot you can enter....too big limitations. They also set a profit target which after you meet, the share is too small. 50-50%

But overall how would you rate TCF, what are their downsides.
If you are planning on challenge, try FTMO though expensive, almost double the TCF cost, but you know they are not setting you up for failure; TCF is too manual, their clients' portal is full of glitches, says data different from what your platform says; and for me, I relied on what I saw on my client's portal cos that's what I'm used to with FTMO, it trapped me to fail the challenge. I asked their back support what happened, they digged into their raw data and said I went 5% DD, how? After I already made about 4.5%; then they said the 5% daily DD is the 5% of your starting equity. Too much manual stuff. I will say you should avoid them for challenge.
But for monthly program, I will implore you to rigorously test your system.
Check their list of maximum allowable lots: this here is not accurate, if it says 1.5 max lot, it is never so, it could be 0.9 lot max.....crazy.
They are not the best for anyone, especially for who is not financially strong, they will milk him/her.
The crazy thing is: the max lot limits you on when you will make the required 5%month target, so if you pay $345 for a $50K account in January and you are unable to make the 5%, you will have to pay another $345 in February, total now is $690....etc.
I would normally trade gold, GJ & GU, but the system greatly limits my lot size. What I now do with them is, I trade only AJ since it has the highest max lot size of 1.7 but the system does not still allow it, allows only 1.0 lot max.....crazy limitations. Even as I type, I tried to browse their site the list of pairs and their max lo, says page not available.....they are never reliable.
Another thing I ha*te about them is: once you make a payment, it's gone, no refund; even after few seconds of payment, they tell you its their policy.
When you make payment, you would have to contact them on their telegram group to tell them you made payment, and they manually look into it.
Above all, they are too manual with doctored rules

Very discouraging I must say, I guess that's why the challenge fee is a bit low. Thank alot for the tips and hint. I guess I'll just prepare my self for Ftmo instead.

I've been back to work since last week and of course on sea....I have limited internet time, I enter trades and don't check until the day-close when I need to make next decision, if any.

Darwinex has stopped to accept clients from here, so I moved all my funds to my long lasting broker, Axi.
I'm still with FTMO and TCF.

Was almost worried but somehow I knew everything was ok with you. What's up with your TCF , hope it's going fine. The draw down of 50$ how true is it?
