Health / Re: The Dangers Of Drinking Soda, Energy Drinks, Coke Or Mineral Water by MrExcel1: 4:15pm On Aug 09, 2013
Taking soda or carbonated drinks isn't the issue, but excessively consuming it in lieu of water is what's dangerous. When my father was young, he used to drink soda when eating, like he drinks several cans daily x 7days a week, at least so he told us, after years of neglecting instructions, today his medical condition is bad. Now he doesn't eat/drink sugary items, no more sugar intake even when having coffee/tea. As in, I pity him more than I blame him.

bloggernaija:

WHAT STUPID LOGIC CAN YOU USE.
A GEJ FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WHICH PAYS SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES WITH 80% of WHAT SHE EARNS.OBJ BROUGHT THIS DOWN TO 60%
GEJ TOOK IT TO 80%.
NO SERIOUS BABK WILL LEND MONEY TO SOMEONE WHO SPENDS 80% of his salary on entertainment

So you want to apply revenue logic to FG but not the states?

Smh, as t now, does Lagos have surplus or deficit? Yes or No?

Besides STOP Lying through your nose, we know you hate GEJ but stop lying.

OBJ reduced it, YES, however, why did you not hold NASS accountable when they handed almost extra $6billion to the budget shooting it by more than 25%? How did you think the financing was gonna come from? When NOI asked them to increase oil benchmark, what happened? Did they blame her?

Besides, here is a the link http://www.budgetoffice.gov.ng/bof_2013-update/Understanding%20the%202013%20Budget.pdf

Page 5 should detail what you're clamoring for, 1/3rd of the budget is capital expense...TRY AGAIN

Capital expense - 32.5%

Statutory Transfers - 7.8%

Debt Service - 11.9%

Recurrent expenditure - 47.8%

So Mr. Liar, before you start propagating lies, this is the breakdown.

How do you know that seun has not tried to stop it, how many mods have been brought to help in this section? Anyways that is left to seun.

If the crisis starts in the SW tell me who would loose properties, money, investments and most importantly lives. Why not ask igbos up north how much they lost?

Look, don't let the ID fool you, I've been on this forum for a LONGGGGGGGGGGG Time, SEUN has NOT, and I repeat, SEUN has not shown ANY DIRECT effort in curbing tribalism. If he's doing it through his mods, what does that tell you about an administrator?

When last did you see Seun in Politics, FOR ONCE, manning that section, at least once every week? Abegi, save me the tory jor. Let's face it, Seun loves the traffic, the attention, yet he uses his mods to do the dirty work "STOP TRIBALISM"... Ndigbo si na obu mma iru n'abo (two faced).

Well, the way I look at it is as long as lives aren't lost, properties, money etc can be replaced. This is a channel where every Igbo will be wary about their counterparts and know they aren't friendly and vice versa as well. Tribalism on NL is a wake up call for everyone including myself, for instance, four years ago, I always believed that when I return, Lagos is the way to go, fast forward to 2013, I'm singing a new song. What does that tell you?

Abeg, this is an eye opener for those who wanna listen, the SW just like any other region aren't your friends but partners, and partnership can be dissolved any day.. GO HOME and just stay in Lagos as residents. This is the harsh but honest truth.

Still your shallow opinion.

Before you get heart attack: the land has been secured, surveyed and fenced around Nteje/Aguleri borders by Obi. FG gave Anambra approval to construct International Cargo/Passenger airport, even the prelimnary work has resumed there by Orient Petroleum and their foriegn partners. From ever available stats Anambra International Cargo/Passenger airport will be the Nigeria's busiest airport after Abuja and lagos when completed.

Yeah, don't I like how you guys blow your trumpets?

I'm just as Igbo as you are, from Anambra as well, if all these has been done, what is holding them back from building it? You think investors or banks who will lend the money are foolish abi? Abeg carry your "DEEP OPINION" waka comot. How about you show us the "preliminary work" that has resumed?

sure you would know when its out.

But why do you hate other tribes so much, did they steal your toys when you were much younger?

Its great to be passionate about ones tribe and its development but attacking others for no reason would not do anyone any good.

Their are other igbos that relate fairly with everyone on this forum and outside NL but your cases is shocking.

Have you ever lived amongt others? I see seen igbo families bring up yoruba children and vice versa, their are great family bonds btw yoruba and igbo families that i know of.

My mission is to stop this enemity btw igbo and yoruba so as to prevent the attacks on igbos up north from getting here. Igbos are killed with the slightest opportunity becos of the hate they have brought upon themselves by constantly insulting their host.

thenationonlineng.net/new/why-nigerians-hate-igbo-by-chinua-achebe/

Mother Theresa, Da'alu... For there to be a resolution, there MUST be conflicts. How we handle our conflicts determines the extent we go about achieving resolve. If you want enmity to STOP amongst these two tribes, START WITH THE TOP SEUN. You start from the head and work your way down, as long as Seun is nonchalant about this issue, his warring mods work will be futile. Seun is the final arbiter and his words would determine what stays and what goes. How many CEO's have you seen delegating their duties to Vice Presidents? How many Presidents have you see delegating their powers to Deputy or Vice presidents? Like I said, Seun must show interest, for the sole purpose of his site, he must show that he's willing to coordinate efforts to reducing tribalism, unless that, you're speaking nnukwu oyibo..

Wow! I hope this becomes an eye opener for Seun and Mukina.

The question is, with a mentality such as displayed by this EX undeserving mod, is keeping the other mods from his region a good idea?

The way I see it, soon enough those two would be disingenuously accusing you of the same.

Can an ibo man ever be truthful and non-partisan? With all indications, I am thinking NOT!

If after reading all this, this is all you put out, SHAME on you... Nothing else

As much as I agree with them that APC should be REJECTED in the SE, this part is indeed laughable

Isiguzoro said Igbo youths resolved at the meeting that Abia State
governor, Theodore Orji, should be the link between them and
the Presidency, since he had shown enormous concern for the
welfare of youths across the entire Igboland.

Seriously, what have they been smoking?

I quite agree with you accessment of Jarus. But I still don't like the part Emperor Sehu disgrace or humilates his judges. I actually think he should compensate them for their time, evaluate and measure their performance. Anything short of that the musical chair cycle wil continue.

That is what you get when you allow yourself to be overly used and reused, so I don't see anything wrong in that. All of them including Ikenna got what they deserved, Seun played a dirty fast game on them. Seun is not ready to take NL serious and as such, NL will continue to be a joke... Tribalism will be order of the day. So seat down, relax and enjoy the bumpy ride through Politics section of NL.

CyberG:

Leave the slums alone, worry about the GDP that is one of the lowest across the country especially for the most hardworking and richest people in Nigeria.

What's the use of GDP if it cannot be translated into WEALTH? China has almost half of US GDP, but American per capital is almost 8x bigger than China, what does that tell you? There's more disposable income in America than China, or an average American is wealthier than an Average Chinese despite American debt. However, Qatar & Luxemburg have almost twice the GDP per capita of America despite America being the nation with the largest economy, what does that tell you? Even the smallest nation has the highest spending power on average that larger nations. Again, GDP has to translate into wealth for it to make sense.

Well, i remembered what i said to the Admin, Seun, what i took the appointment, that he should expect some mistakes from me while in the difficult task. I remembered few members i apologised to, like Desola, for wrongly banning her and the apology i tendered to OAM4J for wrongly accusing him of something. So, yes, i made some mistakes am not denying because am not some gods. But its about learning from the mistakes and not repeating them.

But inspite of my mistakes, at no point/time did i lose my focus. I knew what i was getting myself into when i accepted that appointment. I knew that to get the job done, i didnt need to seek for friends here because it could pull me down. Even some friends i had before i became co-mod here joined the bandwagon of "Ikenna must go". Berem is a case study. We used to be friends before i became co-mod here. I remembered when i had a power surge issue on my LCD TV. I was too lazy to take it out and fix it. I told her about and she was always on my neck to go and find out what the problem was, until i finaly gave in. Fortunate enough, it was just a re-soldering that fixed the problem and till date, the TV has been working well, thanks to her. I was even thinking of getting another when next i could afford it, since i was thinking fixing it might cost more the TV, considering complex nature of LCD technology. But she insulted a member someday. Of course, i had no option than to penalize her like others, because i despise selective justice with passion. Since then, i have become her enemy. But it was what i signed up for. I was ready to live with that. It was dirty job that needed to be done.

Ikenna

Apparently you did not last on the job, so in all, WAS IT WORTH IT? Seun uses you guys for his dirty job and you gladly accept, anyway, you've been forgiven. I never liked you and neither do I till date, but it's all good... cool

Next on the list is sexkillz, I got something store for him...

If you like let the airport be within 20 minutes radius. Any state that builds an airport should take responsibility. No state should build airport banking on Anambra passengers to create traffic. FYI: FG have already given Anambra license to construct International Cargo/Passenger airport.

A state like Anambra should even have two airports: one local and one International Cargo/Passenger. No amount of NL ranting cannot stop the already ongoing Anambra International Cargo/Passenger airport.

Me personally, an airport is good but not important at the moment. A cargo airport perhaps in Anambra wll be good because of Anambra (Onitsha and Nnewi) are commercial and manufacturing centers, but a passenger airport? Nah ma, Enugu can serve that purpose. Why spend millions of $$$ on airport that won't breakeven in the next 20years? embarassed undecided

AS A NON ANAMBRIAN READING THROUGH THE CONTRIBUTIONS ON THIS THREAD, MY MAIN QUESTION IS HOW DO SOLUDO PLAN TO GENERATE THE FUNDS TO CARRY OUT THIS PROGRAMMES? I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT FOR HIM TO CARRY OUT 10 PERCENT OF THE LAUDABLE PROJECTS HE ENUMERATED HE NEEDS NOTHING LESS THAN 15 BILLION MONTHLY IGR. WHAT ARE SOLUDO PLANS TO INCREASE ANAMBRA'S INTERNALLY GENERATED REVENUE AND WHAT ARE HIS REVENUE TARGETS FOR EACH YEAR OF HIS TENURE. UNLESS I SEE IT, FORGIVE ME, THE MANIFESTO IS JUST PLENTY OF GRAMMAR. TO ME.
AS FOR YOU GUYS, AS FAR AS I CAN SEETHAT YOU ARE EXCITED ABOUT SOLUDO, PLEASE DONT SHY AWAY FROM ASKING THE DIFFICULT QUESTIONS. SENTIMENTS NEVER GETS ANYTHING DONE.
MEANWHILE I WISH SOLUDO THE BEST OF LUCK.

Simply put an efficient fiscal framework, Anambra has the resource, Anambra needs someone who will guide the state. A leader who's exposed is needed. If you want how I can detail soludo's plan, it's gonna be long but it will be worth it grin grin
