The point is blocking those rivers will have a negative impact on locals from akwa ibom and cross river who depend on these river's for survival

Well, biafra will have to contend with Nigeria blocking the Niger River upstream at lokoja turning the whole Onitsha to Oguata to dry land

It will be a lose lose situation for both countries so mutual co-operation will be needed, plus, there are other rivers in imo , Abia and ebonyi that flows into cross river and akwa ibom, it will be devastating if we block those rivers too

The Niger Basin Authority was formed to ensure mutual cooperation between countries on the river. It does not strip the countries of territorial control over the section in their domain.
It does not grant automatic right of passage to other countries in another sovereign countries

Mutual co-operation that's right, to ensure member countries don't do anything that will have negative impact on other member states or to the disadvantage of any member state

A landlocked biafra won't do anything on the Niger river that will have a negative impact on Nigeria and Nigeria won't do the same , simple as that

You don't have any facts. What you've been brandishing is river Basin authority which is a voluntary organisation formed by countries that have river Niger within their territory.
Transport over river Niger in Nigeria is managed by NIWA a federal govt agency and not river basin authority. I've already shown you that any river that passes through a country is under the jurisdiction of that country.
All those listed in your screenshot are rightly termed agreements which means they are not laws but understanding among countries. Their enforcement is voluntary.

Why was the Niger basin authority form ? Why was there a need to form the Niger river authority, if you think countries are free to do whatever they want with the part of the river that passes through their country not minding if what they do have a negative impact on the rest of the other countries?

No one has the right to drop a pin on the water body except with the permission of the country

You know no nothing if you think Niger has the money to dredge river Niger , all the member states will have to collectively contribute to dredge the river Niger

If you can answer the above two truthfully then you'll know if Biafra will have the right to navigate through River Niger within another country's borders as you claim

Niger can do the same to the ocean, the only problem is the river is shallow in some parts and alot of dragging needs to be done which is very expensive


A landlocked biafra will have all the right of passed to navigate to the ocean, laws fully backed by international waters governance
