futuremoma34:I'm sorry to hear that. God will soon answer our prayers. I will not mind if you can PM me so that we can talk about the medicine you talked about. Thanks and hoping to hear from you soon. |
futuremoma34:Thanks sweetheart for the advise. Yes we plan on conducting scan every 3 months to investigate how the fibroids behave of time and then we will base our decision on whatever we find during the course of the investigation. Dear, if I may ask, what are the local herbs that can cure fibroid?. Also why did you opt for surgery if there are alternative cure? Lastly, I join you and your family in prayers that God will touch you and grant you the fruit of the womb. It's well with you my dear. Your miracle is on the way. Stay strong and everything will be alright. |
ChelseaDr:Thank you so much for taking your time to provide such detailed explanation. I wouldnt say we were impatient enough to listen to the doctor's explanation but you may not be far from the truth anyways. The word, surgery, is scary enough to induce concentration lose. I will put everything you said in mind and we will wait to weigh our option. Once again, thanks and God bless. |
ladyF:Yeah I guess. Thanks |
jideflash:How so? Please do you mind give reasons to support the position? |
Doctors in the house, sequel to my earlier post seeking advice on what could possibly be wrong with my wife displaying pregnancy symptoms and pregnancy tests showing otherwise, I have come with the update. For those that missed the earlier post, you can read it https://www.nairaland.com/3917164/wife-pregnancy-symptoms-not-pregnant#58383246 Having gone through the 5 pages of advice and comics of the earlier post, I concluded it was wise to get a pelvic scan done. My wife went for the pelvic scan and the result of the scan was mind-blowing. Report of the scan reads as follows: USS shows a bulky uterus with AP Diameter of 5.0cm The Myometrium is expanded by solid tissue masses with mixed echo textures and AP diameters (a) 2.9 cm [Anterior Intramural] (b) 1.9 cm [Cervical] The Endometrial plate is of normal thickness is measuring 6mm Both ovaries appear normal in sizes and structure Adnexae bilaterally free Pouch of Douglas contains scanty clear free fluid Under Doctor's comment, there are 2 assessments as follows: (1) Uterine Myomas (2) Please R/O Clinically Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases And under suggestion, it only says ECS M/C/S Upon getting the result, I went online to search the meanings of Uterine Myomas and I got to know it to be Fibroid. We went straight to a gynecologist and showed him the result. He confirmed it's indeed Fibroid and there is no solution except she undergoes surgery to remove the 2 pieces of Fibroid. We vehemently objected the surgical idea and asked if there are any alternative solutions besides being operated on. The Gyn insisted there are no drugs or anything else that can cure it besides surgery. Nairalanders, my wife has not being herself since we returned from the doctor. She is 31 years old and she's on the verge of losing her mind. Please, is there anybody on this forum with a better solution to this problem? I did lots of searching online but I couldn't come up with any comprehensive approach to tackling this menace. Any suggestions, ideas, and advise(the good, the bad and the ugly)from the house on the best manner to approach this will be greatly appreciated. Also, someone to give adequate interpretation of the scan report will be appreciated because the doctor was more concerned about having surgical procedure set up and failed to fully enlighten us on the rest contents of the report. Thanks and help save my family. Worried husband. |

Hello Doctors in the house. I have a pressing issue that I want the advise of qualified medical practitioners on this great forum on. please, I really need your candid advise on this issue. For the sake of being anonymous, I had to created a new account to post this. I'm married to the best woman in the world and we are blessed with a baby boy almost 4 years ago. I left the country and didn't return until after 3 years. We are trying to have another baby but it seems not working. We tried everything we could, yet, she cant get pregnant. My wife is very good at calculating her ovulation period and I'm not a 1-minute man either. Now to what I need the advise on. Since the very first month after I returned, she was having some signs of pregnancy. She gets tired easily, her breasts were tender and each time she wore bra, she complained of discomfort. These are some of the symptoms she had when she was pregnant with our first child. We were happy and waiting on conducting preggy test, hoping for a positive result. Lo and behold, it was negative. We thought maybe it was too early for such test, we did the test again 4 days later, it was still negative. A couple of days later, her menstrual period came. We were devastated but we didn't lose hope. After her period, we seek a medical advise on how to boost our chances of conceiving and we carried them (advise) out to the letter. Mind you she was still having the symptoms that I described earlier and it even got worse that she started having mild morning sickness. Fast forward, the day she was suppose to see her period came and she didn't see it. We were happy that maybe, God has finally answered our prayer only for her to see blood the following day. The period was heavy and it lasted 7 days, 3 more days than what she normally had. We became worried about the prolonged menstruation and didn't know what to do. Prior to her having the period, for about 3 days, she was having difficulties urinating. Each time she was to urinate, she experiences an excruciating pain inside her vagina for the whole period the urine is coming out and once she's done urinating, the pain stops. It went on like that until the period came and the pains stopped. Just this month, while the pregnancy symptoms persisted, she had her period again. But this time around, the period was delayed for about 3 days. It came heavy for 2 and half day and then stopped only to return 2 days later with another round of heavy flow which lasted for 1 day. All this period, we kept on carrying out preggy tests, thinking maybe she was pregnant. We just did blood test for pregnancy today and it came out negative as well. Doctors, please what should we do at this stage?. Its getting out of hand and I just want my wife to be OK. Even if the baby(ies) do(es) not want to come now, all I need right now is to have my wife healthy and confident again. I know some people will say Nairaland is not a hospital, yes I know but I still want to seek opinion of different people on the issue. Thanks. Sorry for the epistle and please pardon my blunders. |
