Seriously, i really enjoy ur courage and personality for not allowing such words to affect ur development or set u back from learning, happy are those who do not dwell on the negativities or challenges of life but instead find courage to move on by appreciating the little little things they've gotted. He might have utter those statement to critisize and discourage so many people but much more to that it neccessarily don't have to affect u, cos just like u've said #Only_God_Own_The_Judgment

First of all before going further in introducing myself, let me talk more about my experience in the field, am a 200level agricultural student of unilorin. Just to make A better person of myself, i was able to set up a poultry, which i started with 75 layers bird of which 45 are remaining now, mortality & some were stolen due to lack of security THEN(school area), at first it wasn't easy & even up till date it haven't been easy, i started with day old & now they've start producing. They started well with there production but now they are droping form in their production due to them being expose to bad weather...

There are different opinions on this. Generally, farmers wait until the pullets start laying, then convert to layers mash. Some wait until it gets to 40-50% before converting. Personally, I think the best is to wait until about 10-20% are laying, then introduce layers mash. When you bought the pol, you must have asked for what they were being fed, it is good practice to give them time to settle down before you switch, no matter their age. Yours should be on full layers mash by now, I hope? Also give them enough to eat, REGULARLY, dont stint on food. Once egg production drops in a flock, it is hard to recover it.

Thanks a lot for the info. Yes they are on full layer mash, they aren't POL i purchase them at day old, am only planning to purchase more POL in addition to the ones available before

Thanks a lot #Farmerforlife, am going to update u next week as regard to their improvement, and one more question please, when we purchase POL can we start with giving them layer mash instantly or wait till they start laying before giving them?

Help please!!! am seeking for someone who has similar experience, to what am experiencing in my poultry, they has been a reduction in there egg production since last week, the eggs they produce per day has drop from 30/38eggs to 20eggs out of 45 chickens, (their production duration as at now is two and half months) the only symptoms observe is the color of their feces which is not the normal white and black but green and brown color
