As to inflows and outflows and expenses you answered the question already. You can't say your earning 350k and then have months where your expense is higher than 350k. The Immigration officer will use that to deny you visa. They work with guidelines.

If you have a side gig making over 1.2m why don't you have a separate business account for your side gig. I believe at least you have a registered business name even if you don't have a registered liability company?

Let your clients pay into your business account. Then have 2 bank statements for visa . Include CAC registration details, client invoice, etc

Another solution : I've told you a workaround for this. Any lump sum that comes from your side business put it in FD (fixed deposit) build your FD statement for 2 to 3mths don't take out the money there.

Or the earnings that come from your side gig make that your savings and don't touch much out of it.

I have a sole proprietorship account, but I don't use it. I have the CAC and TIN certificates. All payments from salary and side gigs go to my personal account.

Can I use the personal account statement + my salary payslips + invoices to my clients?

Also, I have 5M in fixed deposit.

I intend to have at least 3M balance in my personal account when printing the statement. The account is busy. No suspicious lump sum.

I will stay in the UK for 6weeks. It's a pre-doctoral research programme. I will also submit letter from my school registrar in Nigeria about my PhD programme in Nigeria.

My challenge is whether an invoice bearing a registered enterprise is ok when the money is paid to my personal account.

But, can't I defend it by saying that an enterprise is not actually a legal entity like limited liability companies? An enterprise is heavily associated with the founder.

Starting now to collect payments with the enterprise account seems late to me.

What do you think?

The issue with bank statements is if you have any inflow or outflows that exceeds your stated income or revenue, then they query that and it usually becomes an excuse for denial.
---

Does that mean if one's expenses (outflows) are bigger than his income (inflows), it will be an issue?

For instance, I earn 350k in salary, I wrote that I spend like 150k per month.

However, there are months, I spend more than 350k.

I have a side gig (providing media services to individuals and businesses), and I make over 1.2M from it every month.

How do I explain and demonstrate that I offer these services as a side hustle apart from my normal job?

The payments come in with narrations stating what the money is for.

Sorry about your predicament.

Please, get a lawyer or someone or yourself if you can to write a strong letter of petition and explain everything that happened with screenshots of your communications with the person that sent you fake COS.

Does your husband have Master's degree? If not, I suggest he applies to do Master's in Nigeria. It's just 2 years. When he's done, he can apply for PhD in the UK. He will likely get admission and visa. Then, he can go with the kids.

Then, you can travel to France or Portugal or Finland for study and work.

By the time the 10 years ban is over, you might have a good hold in any of these countries. Your husband might also get a job in the UK. You can then join them.

For meantime, they will be coming to your country of residence or Nigeria for vacation.

Just give UK a break and restrategize.

Enugu Visa centre is premium location and they charge NGN 246,250.00

So did you pay more than NGN 246,250.00?

I didn't pay. I was probably calculating the £250 with wrong Naira equivalent. But my question remains why is that?

Why is Enugu Visa centre premium? One has to pay more than 350k for the premium service. Why is that?

What kind of documents. I consult for organisations in area of media (website design, digital marketing and live streaming). That's my side gig. - If you can provide documents to support this.

Please, what EXACTLY kind of documents so that I can gather them? Give me a clue. Thanks.

- that's fine

5. My side hustle fetches me at least N600,000 per month. - that's okay but you need a lot of documents to present for side hustle. It's usually easier to use the documents from your regular job

- What kind of documents. I consult for organisations in area of media (website design, digital marketing and live streaming). That's my side gig.

6. My monthly expenses for my entire family and rent is at least N300,000. - that is okay. That's your reality. However, you need more income to present a healthy financial status

- What should I do to present a healthy financial status? Submit my bank statement for my side hustle?

7. I intend to stay for two week. I'm going for a conference related to my profession. I'm not a speaker at the conference. - two weeks for a conference? Most last only a couple of days...

- I intend to stay with my friend for a few more days after the conference.

Hello friends, I have a questions...

1. Can I open a new account and call it salary account. Then, ask the organisation I work with to be sending my salary to the account on a particular day. It will show in the statement that the money is from the organisation.

2. I have other side hustle. Can I include the bank statement too. It's personal savings account. Should I rather use a company account. I have a CAC registered business with a sole proprietorship bank account. But, I don't usually use it to collect payments.

3. After submitting the bank statement of the account in no 1, should I also submit payment vouchers of my salary, if yes, for how many months? I understand that the bank statement is 6 months prior to visa application.

4. The salary in no 1 is N350,000 per month. Is this enough?

5. My side hustle fetches me at least N600,000 per month.

6. My monthly expenses for my entire family and rent is at least N300,000.

7. I intend to stay for two week. I'm going for a conference related to my profession. I'm not a speaker at the conference.

8. I will be staying in a friend's house in the UK. Is this ok?

9. With my salary and side hustle, is it better to get my employer or family member to sponsor my trip?

10. I stated that my trip with visa, flight, etc will cost me £3000.

11. I want to apply for 6 months visa.

Hey 🤠

1. The appropriate month to attend your visa interview would be August/ Early Sept. One or two months is okay to prepare for your travel.

2. You may however chose a date in October but give at least 2 weeks interval before the conference day.

Best Wishes 🙏

Between 6.3am and 10.30am, which time is the best? I can see that available slots are many (40) in the early morning times. And drops to 8 slots from 8.00am.

@OyoTunjiUSA

I will be attending a conference in October 2025. I want to book an appointment date, and I'm seeing dates from June 2025.

My question is this:
Should I choose a date that's two or three months before my expected date of travel? Or should I choose one month to the date or even a date in the same month of my travel?

Also anyone with reliable info on when the rate for visa fee will be adjusted?

Paying 185 x 4 at N1800 exchange rate is unfair when dollar is now 1200.

I asked the Teller at GTB today, and she said they have not been instructed to adjust the fee. I paid 333k this morning. It's well.
